Yes Ashford @joedenise. DH needs some trainers/Sketchers for a boys trip to Tenerife next week. Neither of us are shoppers so it's always a bit stressful!

Glad the funeral was well-attended @maman and you were able to avoid the beige buffet. Good idea to WI before the Glasgow trip x

The chicken supreme is from the 50 Golden Greats recipe book:

    2 onions finely chopped
    2 tsp garlic granules
4 skinless and boneless chicken breasts, thickly sliced widthways
8 back bacon rashers, visible fat remove, roughly chopped
    600g button mushrooms, halved
    200g plain quark
    200ml chicken stock, cooled
    1 tsp mustard powder
    parsley to serve

Place a non-stick frying pan over a medium-low heat. Add the onions, garlic granules and 2 tbsp water and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Add the chicken, bacon and mushrooms and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring often and adding a splash more water if needed.

Meanwhile, make a thick mustard sauce by putting the quark, stock, mustard powder and a little seasoning in a bowl and whisking well.

Add the mustard sauce to the chicken in the pan, stir well and reduce the heat to low. Cook gently for another 5 minutes then scatter over the parsley and serve.

    Afternoon all,

Hope all those with colds feel better soon!

I have a funeral on Monday @maman and don’t intend to stay for food.

It’s a beautiful day here and I’m hoping it continues tomorrow because I forgot to put the washing machine only just back 🙈. Salsa is really good fun, I think my feet and arms will continue to go in different directions for some time 🤣

I had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, a veggie omelette for lunch and it’s chicken skewers, salad and chips for dinner.

Decided the washing mountain had to be done quickly due to the forecast!  We've got 2 severe weather warnings from midnight tonight until Sunday!

Well done of avoiding the beige food after the funeral @maman.  You're probably right about not eating SW friendly in Glasgow!  There certainly wasn't anything at the places my DSis decided we were going to eat when we were there last year!

Sounds like a good idea to go to WI next week so you don't need to worry; also good idea to weigh at GP beforehand.

Joe can't take ibuprofen due to the other tablets he's on!

I did say the places my DSis took us!  I'm sure there are some places that will have SW friendly food like jacket potatoes, LOL!

Dinner was yummy and made all the better for DS2 cooking it!!

We ended up going to Ashford outlet this afternoon. DH got some sketchers and a new cabin case -ours are six years old - nothing wrong with them tbh but all his mates have hard shell ones 🙄

I tried on a couple of dresses in Hobbs and Monsoon but didn’t buy them. Will pop to Canterbury or BW tomorrow for shoes.

Glad you got some bargains @bubbs!

You've got me there @Coxy11 with the BW initials!  Can't think of anywhere in Kent with those initials!

That's a great haul from Olio @bubbs and plenty of bargains from Company Shop as well.  Your fridge and freezer must be stuffed!
