    Now I want some pie!!

    Hello all,

Another walk/run this morning - same route, 2 cars, no tractors or people. Slightly faster than on Tuesday. All good.

I went to a psychic evening. Only 9 of us and she came to us all individually. Nothing of note for me in the spirit world (a man called Barry?! No clue) but did say I am stressed and my hormones are all over the place. Also that I’ll be “going on a journey” which made me chuckle. Stuck to water and gifted my glass of wine to DD who didn’t mind.

Some errands to run in Faversham today so we are eating out for lunch. There’s a lounge type bar there so will hope for a salad of some description. Day 4 of no sugar or aspartame if I can avoid it. Did chew some gum whilst running so I’m not a total angel.

    Food today:
B - toasted protein thin bagel, poached egg, spinach, satsuma - HEB, P, S
    L - ??
    D - chilli con carne and rice - free, P, S
    HEA - milk
    HEA - cheese
    Syns - ??

NB. @joedenise you’ve posted on Foxgloves diary instead of here xx

    Thanks @Coxy11.

Morning all, another nice day but with a bit of a breeze but no washing to be done!

Popping out to the local(ish) shops (ie closer than the town by a couple of miles)!  Only need a few bits so not worth driving the extra miles.  DH needs to stay in as we have a handyman coming round sometime today to give us a quote for some work which needs doing but DH can't work off a ladder anymore so can't do it himself.

    Today's plan:

B - bacon omelette (was going to be bacon & mushroom but used all the mushrooms in the savoury mince!) - P
    L - sausages and onions with a roll - HEB; S; 2
D - sort of cottage pie using the savoury mince, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
    Syns - sausages 2

I'm going to cook some SW brownies while the cottage pie is in the oven so may have a couple of those.  Although there is sweetener in them I'm not synning it as works out less than Tbs per portion, so only 0.5 syn each.

    Hi all,

I was desperate for some fresh air this morning so drove to a local park and did four laps - spoke to all the dog owners on my way round 😀 then treated myself to an Americano. Also managed to collect my book request from the library - already wishing it was bed time so I can start it!

Continuing to use up what’s left in the fridge etc, I had toasted cheese with tomatoes when I came in from the library and will have salmon and veg for dinner. The salmon is in a sweet chilli dressing from Aldi and 1.5 syns (I may have two if DS isn’t keen).

Hope you found something suitable for lunch @Coxy11. Perhaps the journey is your running?? Or your SW journey?? 🤔🤣

Glad to hear you're feeling better @Jellybaby. It's been a glorious day here. We went for a walk too this morning and it was a pleasure to be out.

I'm with you on the sweetener @joedenise. I think they started to syn it because people were having several Muller lites a day and fizzy drinks. Like you, I rarely use it and never a full tbsp in one day so I ignore the syns.

I've had a fry up for breakfast and lunchtime I concocted a pasta dish. Basically, I raided the fridge for tomatoes, spring onions, mushrooms, courgette and broccoli and then stir fried and added to some penne with Parmesan. It was delicious and as they were roasted tomatoes, there was enough liquid to make a sauce.

Tonight we're out for dinner (and lunch tomorrow). As it's 7 weeks to WI, I can have whatever I fancy but the chef tonight usually has SW food as well so I'll decide later.

Tomorrow, it's a French restaurant so whatever I choose the portions are usually tiny. 🤣

Back on plan properly from Saturday. 😊

Psychic also told me I'd have a holiday home caravan in Leysdown - can't see that happening when I'm literally 30 minutes from there!

Lunch was a Super Grain salad which was lush. Mixed leaves, feta, roasted sweet potato, pomegranate seeds, various grains, red onion with a plain yoghurt dressing. I expect there was some oil used for the sweet potato and not sure if pomegranate seeds are free. However this is my only syns for the day along with a little parmesan with dinner.

Dinner morphed into Spag Bol as no green peppers in Co-op so DH got mushrooms instead. And the best bit is DS2 is cooking for us all. He loves to cook but obviously Mum does it mostly!!

Great to have a good walk and dog interaction @Jellybaby x
Enjoy your meals out @maman x
    Brownies sound amazing @joedenise!! x

Pomegranate seeds are Speed @Coxy11.  They're nice and not sweet because they're made with cocoa powder.  Happy to post the recipe if you'd like it.  The whole lot is only 8 syns!

Morning all, it's a bit grey this morning but hopefully brightening up later.  Not much to do today but do need to pop out to the Post Office (about 5 miles away!) to return some slippers I bought.  Only put them on yesterday morning and by lunchtime the stitching was coming undone down one side.  Really surprised as had this brand before so got 3 pairs but going to send them all back in case it's a bad batch.

I done a bit more sewing yesterday and have got the shirred top attached to the skirt part and it's actually wide enough to walk in without having to muck about with a pleat in the front thankfully.  Just the hem and straps to do now.  I did sew the straps but they're just too narrow to turn so going to cut out some more from the spare fabric and make them about twice as wide so that they're easier to turn but they'll still be narrow.  I tried it on and it looks good so that will definitely be coming on holiday with me.

I weighed this morning and a small loss of 0.7lb so now a bit less than 2lb over top end.  Just need to keep plodding!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
    L - minced beef hash - P; S; F
    D - butter chicken, rice - P; S; F; 2.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    Syns - butter 2.5; couple of G&Ts 6

    Have a good day everyone.
