I have decided to stop going to class
since our lovely consultant left we have had a variety of stand ins ,none of whom have been interested ,they all push the new way which seems to be they never talk to anyone ,
to crown it all the area manager has combined the two classes to a time between them , the queue is out of the door ,( over 25 min to weigh last week ) and from last week I can no longer stay ( no loss given the above ) !
The whole ethos has changed since the founder died .
I will still follow the plan and ,if I may ,maybe post more often on here .
i have weighed this morning and recorded it ,it wasn’t good but I will do my best

Morning all,
Sorry to hear of storm damage - please don’t go out unless you really have to xx
I’m meeting ex-neighbours for lunch today. This has been postponed twice since July. The place we are going has a very limited menu as it’s more of an evening/wine bar type venue. There are waffles, a chicken Caesar salad and 4 burgers (two beef, one chicken and one veggie). Burgers have either fries or salad. WWYD? I’m think Caesar salad but it’s cold and horrid weather so maybe a burger without the bun with salad? It’s just DS2 and me for tea and I have some Aldi skinny sausages, so will do those either AF potatoes - nice and easy.B - 0% Greek yoghurt, blueberries, blueberry wheats - free, S, HEB
L - ??
D - skinny sausages, potatoes, baked beans — 3(?), free
HEA - milk
HEA - cheese
Syns - ??
Don’t blame you leaving the group @SuffolkSue. I haven’t been to group in my new town and it’s been nearly a year now. It’s hard going it alone though as there’s little accountability. Good luck.Have a good day everyone

Morning all, what horrendous rain and wind overnight. I really feel for those in the North where it is far worse than here in the South East. At least the rain has stopped but still very windy so have taken a chance and washed the buffing and hung it out. Don't think it will take long to dry. Only going to leave it out a couple of hours or so as there is free electric from 12-2pm today so if not dry by the time I bring it in it will go in the Tumble Dryer to finish off. May well give it a bit of a tumble even if it is dry!
I don't blame you stopping group @Suffolksue - it sounds pretty horrendous now. It's coming up to 2 years since I last went. I'm managing to stick to plan apart from holidays and there have probably been a few too many of those so I seem to have been a couple of lbs over top end for a long time now! Definitely post regularly on here as it will keep you a bit more accountable.
Pleased to say DH is feeling much better today and even felt up to cooking breakfast while I was hanging washing out!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
D - beef stew, mash - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - probably a couple of G&Ts tonight
Have a good day everyone and keep safe.

Hope all those in the north are safe and sound.🤗 It got a bit windier and wetter yesterday evening but nothing compared with other parts of the country. It's dry and sunny today and a good wind for drying washing but nothing worse than that.
I can empathise @Suffolksue, I don't like the new format of group meetings much either but I understand about the need for accountability too @Coxy11. That's why @bubbs chooses to go every week even when she's at target. Posting regularly on here really helps and I find my clothes help too. I've often posted about the 'clean jeans' test where you know as soon as you put them on that you've gained a bit. It's the same with some of my skirts and dresses that don't stretch. Any weight I put on always goes to my stomach so it really shows and I hate having to choose what I wear to cover it up.
Hope you feel better today @Jellybaby, there seems to be a lot of flu about and possibly a new strain of Covid.
Thanks for the input on the SCs. I checked out a local branch of Tesco yesterday and managed to buy the last Crockpot in stock. 👍🏼
I didn't get to post yesterday but stayed on plan. We had a sort of Hunters' chicken for dinner last night (chicken thighs and bacon lardons with salsa and cheese on top) and there's some left for me today.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk
L- chicken with salad (P,S), lentil soup (P,S)
D- chicken curry with rice (P,F,S)
Syns- mango chutney? weekend wine😁0 -
Afternoon all,
I don’t blame you for stopping class @Suffolksue I don’t like the new changes either but I need the accountability so my thinking is to rumble along, see what changes come in the new year and assess from there.
I think you should have whatever you fancy @Coxy11 then draw the line. I think it’s so expensive to eat nowadays you have to really enjoy it.
I slept through two alarms and didn’t make WI 🙈 but cold is drying up (sorry TMI) and I’ll probably keep my sore throat for a few weeks yet. That’s usually what happens.
Ive had some fruit and yoghurt, numerous hot drinks, and if I don’t fancy a full meal later there’s some soup in the freezer.
I had DS out checking our roofs this morning and everything appears OK. Heavy rain and wind picking up now but nothing like last night.0 -
Thank you all ,it’s the accountability I need ,it’s never ended well when I’ve gone alone before!I will be accountable on here
today I’ve had a bacon bap ( no butter ) out with my coffee friends ,stuck to Americano not my capaccino treat
unfortunately we went to a food fare and I indulged in the tasty samples all , small and I stayed away from the posh sausages
out at a quiz tonight I am driving so water only and the ploughman’s is a healthy one ( we do this quiz twice yearly so I know ) will have one small piece of baguette
about to cook some salmon with salad ( not really the weather for it but will mean I avoid the nibbles )0 -
Afternoon all
Glad everyone is safe, it's bloody windy here!! Where have all these storms popped up from? 🤔i'm sure we never had has many as this before?
Well i had a maintain, so had to put both boots on!
Now group........after me saying how many we have today was only 37! People are saying they don't like the new format, to me it was no different to when i started so was like going back in time, but i said a few weeks ago think i am falling out with group, but i know i need it! It's not the people , no matter how much i like the consultant it's like she cuts me off all the time when i have something to say, like today she was on about the changes, i said i don't understand this because it was always 1hexa then they said we needed more calcium so increased it to 2, and now they are saying with the new plan we don't have to have even one! immediately she said look through your book you can get calcium from loads of things, i know this, this is NOT what i was saying! (didn't say that to her though) Wheni was doing deliveries Elaine who i sit with messaged me and said our group does not feel the same anymore. Her daughter who has a large amount to lose is not coming anymore and she was at 5st, now down to 3st loss ,i don't know what the answer is.
It's ok for me to do pay for her though!!
Don't know what the answer is unfortunately
Food
I had 4 crackers 4 syns, ham and beetroot, tomato,seafood sticks and watermelon, forgot a picture!Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Extremely windy here this morning, got about half way on our walk then the lane changed direction, it was like walking into a wall. No bad damage or accidents reported locally thankfully.
Home WI this morning showed just over 1/2 lb off. Tummy problems mean not consistent though. For the time being OH and I are cutting down the amount of fibre we eat, been eating mainly high quality white bread and less high fibre vegetable and at least not gained, feeding him up though to try and stop weight loss, quite a juggle.
Interesting chat re new system, as soon as I can guarantee not needing to pay I will go to a few meetings and see how it is locally, consultant here is a star hope it is not causing her to lose members and income.
Breakfast fruit and yogurt (FF for me Normal for OH), 2 teeny pieces of cheese on toast, coffee using most of rest of milk allowance. Lunch some white sourdough bread, toms and cucumber. Tea to be Kedgeree and mixed side salad, Syns blown with half danish pastry and piece shortbread :blushThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Hope you enjoy your quiz evening @Suffolksue and the same with your lunch @Coxy11, whatever you chose from the limited menu.
I always have most of my syns at weekends and find it easy to eat virtually syn free during the week. I know it's not the official way but @joedenise has tried having syns daily and IIRC found it made little, if any, difference.
It's common to not like change but I do think the new format is a change for the worse. In the group I went to last week, the consultant announced (for my benefit I think as I was a visitor) that she didn't use the new format. She let people speak and to speak to each other. It reminded me of courses I used to do at work when you often learned more from other course members than the leader. I wonder if there's a way on the website to feed back to SW that the new format is unpopular? 🤔
HEXs have always been optional @bubbs. I remember a local manager who told us this years ago and we all found it strange as they're part of the plan . I suppose it helps for people who can't eat bread and get fibre in other ways or can't have dairy but still need calcium.
Does this mean you're still just in the bottom of range thanks to the boots @bubbs. 🤔
We've not seen @TakeItEazy for a while. Hope she and her DH are OK?0
