I've got an induction hob so don't think those metal inserts would work on my hob but if I could find one that would work on it then it may well be a possibility when I do replace my slow cooker.

    Hello all,

I haven't been posting but have been being good when I can and careful when I can't. Still hovering above target range and really need to do something about it. I have bought an Air Fryer which is already earning it's keep with DS using it almost daily. Did some lovely new potatoes in it and even DH (who loathes new potatoes) ate them up and was complimentary. Have been shopping today with Mum and have some good options in for meals this coming week, so I'm going to spend some time this afternoon making a plan.

I'm not currently working but there's a potential part-time admin role with a friend of DSis. Will be meeting her next week to discuss terms. Really need some routine in my life and don't think being home a lot is helping my food intake!!

For those in amber weather warning regions, I hope you are okay xx

Grotty wet day here, light this morning, heavier this afternoon. I am about to twist OH's arm to help me do a bit more of the freezer stock take, I did 2 smaller drawers earlier in the week so he can help with the 2 larger ones.
Not being good or even careful some days, hopefully when I know exactly what is in stock a better plan will emerge, it seems a lesser intake of fats and some carbs is necessary for him - he seems to be in agreement, in principal at least.
Stay safe and dry if you can. Yellow warning for wind this region.

    Evening all.

    Yes Beanie, about bloody time!

I meant to say yesterday can't recommend a slow cooker as don't like them, everything tastes the same, I'd rather use the oven!

Really wet here today, DH had bloods at 8.30, then we went unit to get stock for orders, been a busy day! Dodging the rain trying to load the car for drop offs tomorrow. Hope it is not peeing it down then!

    Food

Evening all, storm Amy is upon us and we have trees down all over the place. Warnings in place until tomorrow night so goodness knows what it’ll be like if it keeps up at this pace.

Will try and get to group but my cold is developing and my throat is really scratchy so if I have to miss it it won’t be the end of the world.

Not eaten much - banana, yoghurt and pinched a couple of DS’s chips. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
