Morning all, it's very grey and overcast so glad I got the washing done yesterday!
Will be going out shortly as have a waxing appointment at 9.30. DH needs to go to one of the car shops to get something for the motorhome so he'll do that while I'm getting waxed. I want to pop to the library as well but depends whether DH decides he needs to rush back to sort out the motorhome problem.
We also need to get the motorhome packed to go away tomorrow morning. I also need to rejig the menu plan as some things I'd put down to have aren't so easy without a decent oven!
I'm going to make a beef stew while DH is sorting out the motorhome to take with us. That was going to be for dinner tonight but is an easy thing to have in the van. I've got a curry out for tonight - don't generally do curry in the van due to the smell!
So today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
D - butternut squash and sweet potato curry, rice, chutneys - S; F; 4
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - chutneys 4
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Very cold but bright and sunny here so I already have a load of bedding on the line with another swishing away.
Im going to the library too @joedenise. My favourite Nordic author - Lars Kepler, crime based and not for the faint hearted! - has a new book out and I’ve managed to reserve a copy so will pick that and another couple of books up. I also have salsa class again 🙈🤣
Today’s food:
B - berries, nectarines, yoghurt 1.5 syns
L - lentil soup
D - chilli (I may have mine with a toasted pitta rather than rice)
Have a good day everyone.0 -

Walked down to the library and it was closed! Forgot they're closed on Wednesdays. Will have to try again next week instead.0

It's Thursday closing for our libraries.🤣
I don't enjoy any sort of 'noir' be it tartan or otherwise.😁 I've just reread Victoria Hislop's The Island for my book club. It's interesting that when it first came out I just enjoyed it as a bit of romantic fiction in an interesting setting. Rereading it, the setting took on far more significance. I'd certainly recommend her as an author. Usually, we read a lot of weird stuff at my book club. I think it's because we're based in the library and read from their book club stock. I think their buyers are far too influenced by who's won or been nominated for prizes.
Another beautiful autumn day here. Hope you get the same for your weekend trip @joedenise. I was up and out early for my hair appointment. This afternoon is the optician so could prove an expensive day!🤣
It's WI tomorrow for me as I couldn't go this morning. Not sure if the extra day will make any difference. 🤞🏼
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA 1 milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- lentil soup (P,S), small salad (S)
D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,F,S), HEA2 Parmesan

Great news about Dh shoulder mamam. That must be a relief 👍
I’ve had a busy week with lots of eating out. I did try to weigh this morning, I’d forgotten to buy new batteries and it just came up with an error sign. So I’m no wiser as to whether I’ve had a gain or not. Probably for the best, all things considered. I will buy batteries later and try again tomorrow. I have actually tried to choose wisely and kept to plan in between outings so I live in hope of getting into the lower stone 🤞January spends - £587.580 -
It was @joedenise's DH that had the shoulder problem @milann but I'm sure he'll be pleased to hear your good wishes.😊
Shame you didn't have the new batteries for your WI but at least when you get the scales up and working you'll know where you stand. 🤞🏼you'll see that new number PDQ.
Hope you've got some bargains to report @bubbs. I went to Company shop last week and nothing much jumped out at me but I did get Heinz soups at 50p each for food bank which is cheaper than Aldi.
WI for me this morning and yet another STS!!😡 I just can't seem to shift that last half pound to get me back into target range.🤔
It wasn't my usual group but I did stay and, although they'd had 30 through the door, most had done 'way and go' so it was a small group. I liked the consultant but she did have a very loud voice. She also didn't stick to the SW script and encouraged conversation which was good. That meant people were getting genuine encouragement, praise and ideas rather than just the cursory round of applause.
I had a plan to go back through my notebook to the food diaries for the week I lost 2lbs and got SoW. When I came home and checked, it was the week of my wedding anniversary when I ate out twice!🤣 I don't think that's the ideal way forward so instead I'm going to do a menu plan later where as many meals as possible are different from last week and give that a try as I'm running out of ideas. I'll only have 90 syns for this week as my next WI is at my usual group on Wednesday.
Today's plan-
B- HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
L- veggie omelette (P,S), salad (S)
D- corned beef hash (P,S,F), broccoli, cabbage (S)
Syns- 2.5 (pleasantly surprised that a packet of Aldi's corned beef is just 5 syns)
Corned Beef | ALDI UK at 50% off I'm even happier.😁0 -
Evening all.
