Morning again, it's another decent day with some brightness and a little breeze so another load in the machine which will go out on the line shortly.
I've also prepped a chilli to go in the slow cooker but won't put it on for another hour or so as not sure what time we'll be home tonight.
Put the heating on this morning to check the radiators were all OK and no airlocks and pleased to say only one radiator needed any attention. It was the one which is DH's workroom but it doesn't get used normally but he's sorted it anyway. It was only on for a short while as definitely not needed yet. Just wanted to make sure everything was working OK for when we do need it.
DH has another video physio session this morning so need to be off my laptop by about 10 or so as for some reason the link only seems to work on my laptop and not on his iPad. This afternoon we're off to Benenden Hospital as he has a follow up appointment with the consultant following his shoulder operation. It's definitely better than it was but he's certainly not pain free unfortunately. He's on the NHS list for a new shoulder so he wants to ask the consultant whether he does actually still need that. It seems likely but not really sure how soon it needs to happen.
Today's plan:
B - Weetabix, mixed frozen fruit, milk - HEB; HEA2; S; F
L - carrot and lentil soup - P; S
D - chilli & rice - P; S; F
HEA1 and 2 - milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - none planned
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Another cold one here but thankfully no frost!Hope all the appointments go well @joedenise
I’m off to a local market shop for a mooch around. Planning a batch cooking session sometime this week if I can fit it in. That reminds me, I need to switch the freezer in the garage on!Today’s food:
B - sweet omelette, berries, yoghurt 1.5 syns
L - tomato and red pepper soup, soft pitta HEXB with ham and salad, salad cream 1.5
D - pork medallions, l/over roasted veg, cauliflower steak
With the exception of breakfast, I think I may have two SP meals today 😁0 -
DH's physio appointment went well and he has been discharged so no more physio sessions although of course he needs to continue doing the exercises. He's given him another set to add to what he is already doing and has suggested that he continues to do them a couple of times a week for the next year - will see how long he lasts with that!
Well done on 2 SP meals today @Jellybaby. Definitely easier to just do SP meals rather than trying to do SP days.

I really enjoy a cauliflower steak @Jellybaby but haven't had one for ages as the cauliflowers have been either tiny or poor quality. Now they're picking up I'll add them to the menu again. Like you, we have them as a side but they make a good vegetarian main too.
That's good news about the physio @joedenise, hope this afternoon's appointment is equally positive. 🤞🏼 I haven't had a problem with my calf muscle for about a week so hoping it's going to get better without physio. I'll be testing it out again when I'm dancing later.
Personally, I usually wear a shorter cardigan @maddiemay as I think I associate those longer, 'waterfall' styles with cover ups before I lost the weight.🤣 I've been looking around for thicker, boxy style but, unless they're a horrible fabric, they seem to cost an arm and a leg. I like this one but no way am I paying that price.

Another bright, dry day here today. I've not got enough washing since the weekend to make a load. I don't know where you get all yours from @joedenise!🤣
I read an article today about a new trend called Fibremaxing. It's apparently a thing with young people who have taken to eating loads of prunes, chickpeas etc. It wouldn't be unfamiliar to any of us as suggested menus included wholemeal carbs, porridge oats and plenty of fruit and veg. Nice to know we're trendy though.😁
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs, bacon (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold meats, LO veg and pickles (P,F,S)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), stir fry veg (S)
Syns- 0

maman. Seasalt stuff is great & lasts years. I once famously left my favourite seasalt cardigan at Gleneagles! As my maw says it will see you out 😹

Just back from the hospital and DH has been discharged from there too. The consultant has confirmed he definitely does not need a shoulder replacement so he can get his name taken off the list for that.
I'm like you @maman & @bubbs as no way would I pay that for a cardigan but I'm sure it's lovely! As @beanielou says might be worth looking on Vinted although I've never bought anything that way. I generally just get stuff from charity shops.
I hadn't actually done a darks wash @maman for a week so not surprising there was enough for a load, particularly as DH has been wearing his heavyweight jumper (no idea why as it certainly isn't cold indoors!). I've been in t-shirt indoors until quite late in the evening but have to admit it isn't quite as warm today but probably because the outside temperature has dropped quite a bit.
Hope the car MOT goes well @bubbs and sails through with no issues. It's always a bit of a worry when they go in isn't it? We always get ours serviced at the same time so can make it a bit expensive.
🤞for bargains at Corby tomorrow.
Enjoy the golden wedding party at the weekend. Hope there isn't too much beige food and you can stick to SW suff like cold meats and salads.
We're hoping to get away for a few days in the motorhome, just going to Canterbury but probably won't go until Thursday morning as I've got a chin wax appoint tomorrow morning and DH needs to do a bit of wiring to the pump so that the taps work in both kitchen and bathroom (currently only working in the kitchen!)
Time to think about getting the rice sorted for dinner tonight.0 -
Denise, my car ALWAYS needs something 🙄 it's getting old but it is a work horse that's why i don't want to get a new one to ruin it!
Good news about dh's shoulder.
Hope weather is good at the weekend for you going away Denise.
I had one of them big rolls instead of pitta, it was delicious
Hexb and 1 syn for sauce
