Saved syns Maman 🤣 but only had 4 today.

No i haven't used them but dh did suggest trying to cook them in air fryer so might have an experiment with that, i have some little metal tins , but it's just making sure you don't burn yourself when getting them out the drawers

Morning all, it's another bright day with a bit more breeze than yesterday.  It definitely feels a bit cooler but not too much but then I've only been outside for a minute or so to dump some recycling into the bin!

@maman I've tried using silicon cases for both yorkies and egg muffins.  No good for yorkies as I don't think they get hot enough but they're fine for egg muffins but worth giving a quick spray of Firelight or equivalent.

@bubbs - shame you didn't get your yorkies yesterday but as you say at least you saved a few syns.  Good to look for the positives!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
L - lamb tagine (from freezer), herby couscous with pomegranate seeds - P; S; F
    D - LO pork, chips, beans, pickles, apple sauce - P; S; F; 1

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - apple sauce 1

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

We had frost this morning! That was a shock for DS2 when he was going to work at 6am 🤣

I use a silicon mould for egg or oat muffins @maman and works well. Only used in oven as my airfryer isn’t big enough though.

    Today Food:
B - sweet omelette with berries, yoghurt 1.5 syns and toffee syrup 0.5
L - lentil soup, soft pitta HEXB, chicken slices, salad, salad cream 1.5
D - chilli salmon, SW chips, roasted broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, onions

    Have a good day everyone.

Thanks both for confirming that silicon cases are good for muffins. I'd be doing them in the oven so should be fine. I need to look out for a suitable one.

It's a little bit cooler here today (no frost though @Jellybaby🥶) but it's really sunny so that makes up for it.

I was surprised when I checked the label of the dress that it recommended hand washing @joedenise, so few things do these days. I'd certainly not buy anything dry clean only .

It's got to be about a month since I ironed anything as I just let it accumulate until I have enough to bother getting the board out. It's mostly shirts and trousers for DH. That's one plus of winter coming that there won't be much for me. In the summer I have cotton dresses but in the winter it's stretchy tops and leggings.

Snap @Jellybaby! We're having the same dinner tonight except my salmon is just plain.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- cold meat (P), LO veg and pickles (F,S)
    D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), roast veg (S)
    Syns- 0

Yum yum to the Chinese @bubbs. That's become a weekly favourite. 😘

Meant to say that the skinny sausages disappeared from Aldi a while ago. There's still a half syn sausage listed but the signal is so poor in my Aldi that the app/scanner doesn't work. I'll write down the name and check next time I'm there.

I've been buying the Sainsburys BGTY. They've got new packaging with low fat in tiny writing but still 1 syn each.

    Gorgeous food as always! 👍

Sorry @bubbs. I've still got some of their rosemary and red onion sausages in the freezer so haven't looked for a while. I'll check in my branch this week.

@bubbs I bought some of the stretchy gloves sold for use with hair stylers or clothes steamers, not completely heatproof, but better for me with dexterity problems to use with Ninja grill or pot than ovencloth or thick gloves.
Really must pay attention to your fakeaway chinese looks so good.
