    Hi all,

Went to WI and maintained so not a gain as I thought but I still feel fat 🤣. People were talking about SP days and it made me want to try a couple this week but I’m never sure I’m doing it right so will see how it goes.

Picked up an order from the M&S sale - a couple of short sleeved tops and a pair of wide leg cargo trousers. Pre-sale the total cost was £80 - I paid £23.87!

Today’s food - roll HEXB with bacon medallions, mushrooms and tomatoes when I got in from group, just had some fruit as I wasn’t hungry enough for lunch and I’m making chicken fried rice from the app for dinner tonight. No alcohol planned and have plenty syns if I fancy anything else.

Afternoon all, thought I'd posted this morning but it seems not!  I'm sure I did it but must have forgotten to post it.

@Jellybaby - well done on the STS - that's better than a gain any day.  I don't find SP days particularly good for me as I always feel hungry without the carbs but you might find it OK although you won't be able to have your fruit and yoghurt for breakfast as you usually do as not supposed to have yoghurt.  A lot of the meals that @bubbs posts are SP meals as she doesn't do carbs very much.  To make things easier you need to be thinking in terms of cauliflower rice instead of normal rice, spirilised courgettes instead of spaghetti/pasta and butternut squash instead of chips and roast potatoes.  You can also only have 10 syns a day.

If you post your meal plan in the morning before you actually eat it then someone could have a look to see if it's SP or not.  I'd certainly be happy to check for you.

Personally I find it's easier to have SP meals rather than SP days.  Lunches and breakfasts are often SP meals but very rarely evening meals.  For the next week or so I'll mark which meals are SP if you'd find that helpful.

Been to Debbie's this morning and rejoined for another year for our free hot drink once a month so had that this morning while we were there.  Also bought some potato bags to grow potatoes in plus some seed potatoes which hopefully will provide new potatoes around the end of the year (they should be ready for Christmas but we won't be in the country as going away instead of staying home this year).

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon and mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 1.5 (SP)
    L - spicy carrot and lentil soup - P; S (SP)
    D - confit duck, mash, veg - P; S; F; 8

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 1.5; confit duck 8

    Have a good day everyone.

    Afternoon all 😁

Well done Jelly 👏👏 better than you thought. Yes i find SP easy tbh, you just have to think, no banana, no grapes, no baked beans, no carbs apart from b choice, sausages you have to be careful. You also can't syn a free food. Also you should have equal amounts of speed and protein.

Talking of sausages, has anyone bought/seen any of the Aldi Lm ones? I don't often go in aldi but went today for them and they didn't have them, don't know if they don't sell them any more 🤔

Not been a bad day today, but now raining .

    Is Maman ok ?

Lunch i had 4 ryvita crackers, rest speed or protein

Did buy these rolls in Aldi, they are the large rolls and hexb

Not been to Aldi for ages but when I last looked for the rosemary and red onion sausages they'd stopped selling them.  I did ask about them and told unlikely to be getting any more - but that was probably 6 months ago.  I only every managed to get them a couple of times.

Those baps look huge compared to most 60g rolls!  You'll have to let us know what they're like and whether they are worth buying as if they are I'll pop into the local Aldi (don't like the shop particularly but it's certainly better than the old one!).

For once, I had a bargain today! 🤣 We really like them. I often have one for breakfast, toasted with eggs on top.

I'm sure you're more pleased with the STS than the gain that you were expecting @Jellybaby but it's still depressing. ☹️

I have a hair appointment on Wednesday so my WI is delayed by a day. Hopefully this will help me get rid of the half pound. 😁

I'd find it very hard to cope with a full SP menu but you can lean towards it to try to boost weightloss. It's basically a low carb version of SW so cutting any carbs will help, especially as you'll be increasing the Speed (and so lowering the calories) to balance it out. Like @joedenise said, having some low carb meals is a help like an omelette or soup without potatoes in.

The baps I bought this morning were win/win. I'd parked in Aldi's car park in the next town so I needed to buy something to make the parking free. I went to buy some baps and delighted to see 50% off! @bubbs will be proud of me. 😁

I cooked a gammon joint this afternoon and lentil soup is now in the SC. 😋

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, strawberries and raspberries (S), HEA 1 milk
    L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
    D- gammon (P), Mexican bake (F, S, HEA 2 cheese), green stuff (S)
    Syns - weekend wine

Jelly, I find the SP days hard as I have a banana most days. As mamam suggested I went for at least 1 sp meal a day and lost 4 lb in that week…..never lost that must before or since. There my incentive to try again 👍
I have contacted my sw consultant and said I’m not going back. It feels as if a weight has lifted tbh. She hasn’t replied.
Yesterday was a busy day but I tried to stick with it
Breakfast - mushroom omelette 1 syn for 1/2 teaspoon butter
dinner - salad and ham sandwich heb in cafe….(it was Morrisons wholemeal bread…the cafe owner is doing SW 👍) 2 syns of spread
Tea - skinless chicken thigh and new potato. Then cauliflower cooked in  a can of LF coconut milk (14syns) with 3 tablespoons of peanut butter (12 syns?) a teaspoon of garlic powder, turmeric and korma powder - roasted for 40 minutes - this made 4 servings - so 6 syns as I had smaller portions than Dh (we saved half for tonight)
Snacks - chocolate orange slices 4 syns, banana, satsuma, hea cheese and apple
    Today
breakfast- heb toast, bacon, mushroom and tomato
Dinner - hm chicken and veg soup. Ham, hea cheese,  tomato and beetroot
tea - chicken, cauliflower from last night 6 syns, hm savoury rice with courgette, onion, peppers, mushrooms, onion and peppers. 1 syn for 1/2 teaspoon butter.
Snacks - apple, satsuma, 2 malted milk biscuits 4syns? Bag of crisps 6 syns
Body magic - 2 hours ironing, 2 1/2 miles walking
Ive gone slightly over….but nothing too drastic I hope.
I’ve got a busy week next week and I’ll be out and about visiting friends and going out to eat. I’ll try my best but I’m not stressing too much as it’s my birthday week. I do know 1 day will involve a pizza restaurant and cinema to see Downton Abbey.
    January spends - £587.58

Thanks all for the SP help. I think I might do you as you suggested @joedenise and do one SP meal each day and see how it goes. As well as record here, I’m going to do a food diary and see if that helps me focus too.

The chicken fried rice from the app turned out lovely 😋
