Lose weight with Slimming World in 2025, You know you want to.

Not sure what I think about the weightloss jabs.🤔 I can see that losing the weight must have quick health benefits to carrying around a of of excess weight but longer term I'm not so sure. It's a bit like the people we all know who treat SW as a diet and then having got to target they just go back to doing whatever they did to make them fat in the first place. At least with SW, you learn how to eat healthily but I'm far from certain that a course of the jabs would teach you to eat less in the long term.🤔
Looking forward to the lovely photos of the Fakeaway Chinese later @bubbs.
I'm not happy with SW today.😡 I lost just half a pound so that elusive target range is still half a pound away!!
Anyway, I have a plan.😁 My leg is feeling no ill effects from dancing last night and I coped well. I plan to go dancing again on Saturday evening which means I'll be driving and no wine syns! Hopefully that will be enough to keep me well within my 105 for the week and next week I'll lose that half pound. Simple!🤣
It's DH's birthday on Sunday but he really doesn't want to go out for a meal so that's something that won't derail me either.👍🏼
My friend who rejoined (again!) last week lost 4.5lbs. I think that was greedy as she could have given me half.😁
Today's plan-
B- HEB Weetabix, HEA milk
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
D- sausage casserole with penne (P,S,F)
Syns- BGTY sausages 20 -
Sorry to hear about the poorly partners…well done on keeping on with SW maddiemay and Bubbs 👏👏👏
I’ve been awol for a couple of weeks as we had family staying and we were away in Millie Motorhome. A great time has been had. I’ve more or less eaten what I wanted and pleased to have stayed the same. I did have one day where I only ate a sandwich as I felt rubbish. We also ate in the van more than usual. Just shows I must have picked up some good habits 😀 as I usually gain.
I have decided I’m going to give SW another go on my own. I’ve missed so many group sessions as we go away quite a lot….i know I could go to a group whilst away but realistically that is never going to happen. The MSE part of me objects to paying whilst I’m not there. I the same weight as I was when I rejoined in January 😳 I don’t find the last groups I’ve been to nearly as friendly as my original one.I going to use my Thursday morning where I should have been at group for a swimming or gym session. No point paying for membership and not using it. I struggling with my ankle as I walked on the beach whilst away and it hasn’t been right since (I needs surgery but consultant says the bone isn’t strong enough to take it….so it’s a case of carrying on the best I can) My good hip is now as bad as my bad hip. So I know I need to loose a stone and a half as the extra weight isn’t helping.
Breakfast - courgette omelette
dinner - jacket 30 g double Gloucester and a jacket potato, cucumber, peppers and tomato
tea - hm veg sauce from freezer with pasta
snacks - bag of walkers cheese and onion crisps and Cadbury mini roll. I think they’re both about 7or 8 syns. I had them in for the gks and have nearly eaten them all now so once they’re gone they’re gone.January spends - £587.580 -
Maman, but it WAS half, you will get back in next week 🥰
Well done sts Maddie, mini roll os 6 syns.
Well fetched dh's other antibiotics, they are different to last time, Pharmacist said has he had these before? i said yes continuation of what he had last week, (not realising they were different) she said absolutely no alcohol, i said he does not drink any way, she said mouth wash, it will make him violently ill 😱😱
Well turned into rather a wet and miserable afternoon here,

Morning all,
New day and back on the SW train 😁. Well done on the loss @maman all going in the right direction 🎉
Hope the new antibiotics work quickly @bubbs
My mood is vastly improved so going with it! There’s a couple of loads of washing blowing away on the line, I’ve cleaned the downstairs loo, carried everything upstairs to start on the ones there, descaled the coffee machine and have the filter soaking, and my pet hate, called a couple of trades to come and give quotes for the last bits and pieces I want done. I may need a nap soon 🤣
Back on topic, breakfast was the usual fruit and yoghurt. I’m meeting a friend for lunch but will have something light as I’m out for an Indian meal tonight to celebrate a relative’s birthday.0 -
Good morning all, sunny, but chilly here lots of rain due very soon though, waterproof and practical, I am not one of the people who manage to look smart in it sadly,
@maman nice to read that you were able to enjoy dancing without painful repercussions.
@milann yay to a STS after family visit.
@bubbs I would have not thought about mouthwash.
OH had his pre-scan checks and a great chat through with nurse about what would happen and instructions re food, activity levels etc. He has to have sedation so I have to pull up the BGNs and drive, dummy run home yesterday and all good. He will be at hospital for up to 4+ hours - it is just over 1 hour each way so not worth me driving home between times, the dog and I will hang around, between taking the dog walks, popping to the cafe and loo and reading my book it should pass reasonably quickly
Knit and Natter today, I am not hearing at all well, but will enjoy the female company even if I miss some of the jokes! The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Enjoy the knit and natter Maddiemay. I went to mine on Tuesday but tbh we do more nattering then knitting (or crocheting for me) I think the 4 hours will pass quickly enough by the time you’ve walked the dog and had had a cuppa. Hope the scan goes well.
Jellybaby…..you’ve been very busy 👏👏
I’ve been to the gym for 1/2 hour this morning…..200 calories burned. And when I got home I’d had an email saying the aqua aerobics class I was on the waiting list for had a space for this evening. I wasn’t expecting to get onto it hence my gym visit… I’ll be fit for nothing tomorrow 😂😂😂😂
I weighed in at home this morning and am recording it in my SW book on a Thursday as if I was in group….1 lb lost - this is the boomerang 1lb. Need 1/2 lb loss to get into the next stone bracket next week. 🤞
Breakfast - fruit and yoghurt
dinner - heb ryvita thins, hea 30g double Gloucester, peppers, tomatoes and cucumber
tea - hm chicken and courgette curry - not sure how many syns as it’s been in the freezer a while - guessing approx 5 syns for some of coconut milk, rice
Snax- apple and 4 chocolate caramel buttons 4syns?January spends - £587.580 -
Evening all .
Thanks Jelly, he is not himself, but as ever "i am ok" is always the answer, very tired and not eating much, hopefully this break will do him good 😁
Maddie , no i wouldn't have either.
Well done Milann 👏👏
We are all packed, just last minute things to grab, toothbrushes, hair stuff, tablets etc.
Food today
I had a picky plate at lunch 4 syns with 4 ryvita crackerbreads, ham and beetroot and speed food,
Had pitta pizza , hexa and 2 hexb for tea, chips and salad, couldn't get BNS yesterday so had carb overload last couple of days for me! Also forgot to take a pic of tea!

STS after going away in the MH is really good going @milann.👍🏼 I know @joedenis eats SW friendly when she's cooking in the MH so maybe you've cracked it!!😁
The only syn value listed for caramel buttons is 6.5 for 25g so I'm sure your allowed 4 is probably fine for what you had.
You've had a really busy day @Jellybaby so relax and enjoy the Indian meal. I'm sure you've got plenty of syns in reserve for it.
We suspected bad weather was on the way this morning too @maddiemay so although we wore waterproof coats and took umbrellas to our walking group, they weren't needed as the sun shone! This afternoon was a different story with thunder and rain hopping off the ground. Strange weather and very unreliable forecasts.🤔
I'm sure the four hours will pass quickly and you've got the dog for some company I'm sure both you and DH will be glad to get it over with. 🤗
Sorry to hear that your DH is still not right @bubbs but I hope you both have a great holiday. It'll be good to get away and have a change of scene and a break from working hard at the unit.
Today's plan-
B- HEB wholemeal bap, kippers (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F), LO casserole (P,S,F), salad (S)
D- savoury mince (P,S,F), new potatoes (F), cauli, broccoli, cabbage (S)
Syns- kippers 10 -
