Glad you enjoyed the doughnut Bubbs 👍 Sometimes it just has to be.
I’ve been back on plan today
breakfast - heb bacon butty with tomatoes
dinner - hea cheese, apple, tomato, pepper, cucumber, hm coleslaw, hm chutney 1 syn, ham and satsuma
tea- actifry chips 1 1/2 syns for olive oil (I’ve purposely stopped using frylite) baked beans and chips. Felt like a very naughty tea and just what I fancied.
    Snacks - haven’t had any
Tomorrow I’ll be going out and a fancy burger shop is on the agenda…not ideal but I shall enjoy it and probably give Dh my bun and just eat the burger and fries. I’ll have a heb bacon and tomato butty before we leave, take fruit for a snack and head for the burger place for a late dinner, early tea 👍 so just having 2 meals should limit calories at least 🤞

Morning all, a bit cloudy again today but forecast to stay dry again.  The garden could really do with a bit of rain, would save me or DH having to water in the evening.  We have a couple of trees in pots so they really need watering every night but at least with it being a bit cooler they're not drying out as much so don't need as much now.

@milann - when you have visitors then all you can really do is the usual good when you can and careful when you can't.  Just make sure anything you cook yourself is SW friendly and as low syn as possible.  You mentioned earlier that you were thinking about going it alone, I've been doing that for over 18 months now and although not in target have managed to stay just over top end of range which I'm reasonably happy with.  Yes it would be nice to get back into range but with all the AI holidays we've been having it's not really surprising I'm not getting there.  We do eat SW friendly most of the time when we're at home and I try and choose carefully when we eat out.  I'd say give it a go for maybe a couple of months and see how you get on.  If it's not working out for you then you can always go back to group.

@maman - I'm glad I used an old sheet rather than decent fabric for the trial run shorts.  I've decided to use the same fabric I made the box pleated skirt from to make the shorts.  They are cut out and are now in one piece!  Just need to make the casing, the drawstring and hem them.  Should be able to do that over the weekend I think.  They're not my usual style of shorts but from the pattern they look more like a skirt as they're quite wide legged.  Hopefully they'll work out OK.

Good luck @bubbs and @Jellybaby for WI this morning.

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon sandwich - HEB; P; 2
L - braised steak and onions, mash - P; S; F (from freezer also has added mushrooms & peppers for extra Speed)
    D - chicken dhansak curry, rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LF spread 2

    Have a good day everyone.

I made WI this morning and can confirm the mystery of SW is alive and kicking as I lost a pound!!!

Family leave me next Friday so there’s still time for it all to catch up with me 🤣 Off to Oban this afternoon then on to Mull for a few days. Lots of my meals will probably feature fish.

Lots of walking will be done and I hope to catch up with all the posts I’ve missed. Have a great weekend all.

Well done @Jellybaby - you're right, the mystery of SW is definitely alive and kicking and hopefully nothing will be catching up with you over the coming week!  Enjoy Oban and Mull for a few days.  And remember the saying "if it swims it slims" so eating plenty of fish ought to help!

😁 That's brilliant! I almost always choose the fish option because I enjoy it and it's healthy too.👍🏼

Well done on your loss @Jellybaby. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼It sounds like you have a lovely week coming up. I hope the weather is kind to you and you find plenty of SW friendly food.🤞🏼

You are on a roll with your sewing @joedenise. I like the idea of the wide legged shorts. I used to have a pair that had a long, matching tunic which I got loads of wear out of.

I think you've done brilliantly well to stay in and around target weight without the support of a group. I think I'd go it alone too if I had to travel a long way but it's no problem just going to WI every couple of months for me. To be honest, I don't find I learn anything much from group, staying lately has been like a penance for getting out of target range!🤣 I don't know if it's SW policy but my consultant has been mentioning calories and portion sizes lately. I agree with her that it's not OK to stuff yourself with free food (which used to be what SW preached) but I'm a great advocate of large meals to fill me up provided they're a good balance of Protein, Speed and Free. I rarely feel the need to snack between meals but I've got plenty of SW friendly stuff in the fridge if I need it.

We're all different @milann and I know @bubbs says she needs to go to group regularly to stay on plan. I think trying going alone for a few weeks is a good idea. Let us now what you decide, we're always happy to post syn values if you need them.

We're having sweet and sour with the Ben's NAS sauce tonight. We've not had any for ages. It's become very expensive but I'll only use half a jar so it's not too bad compared with buying a take away.

Football this afternoon and I'm taking a satsuma instead of a Crunchie.😇

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, strawberries (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), vegetable hash and pickles (S)
D- sweet and sour chicken with noodles (P,S,F)
    Syns- Ben's sauce 1.5, weekend wine😁

@bubbs - Could you put the Cheerios and chia seeds into the Food Bank?  Would be better than having them sitting around in a cupboard until they go out of date the you bin them.  I don't why consultants do that sort of thing for the raffle as not everyone eats everything.  I wouldn't eat them either!

Well done on the loss.  Are you in target or still out of bottom end and needing to lower your target again?

@maman - I've come to a standstill on the sewing at the moment!  I need to make a couple of buttonholes to put the drawstring through and the buttonhole attachment on my machine just isn't playing ball.  Think I'm going to have to get my machine serviced.  It's not been serviced since I bought it several years ago so think it's probably time!  I or DH can usually sort problems out but this one neither seem to be able to do so it's going to have to wait until after our holiday now.  At least I wasn't relying on them to take!

    Denise,

They won't be wasted don't worry, i'll put chia seeds back in for SOTW basket 😂 the cheerios i'll give to refuge , there was also a box of rocky road hi fi bars. I have won twice i think in all the years,  never win a decent prize 😂

I thought you'd find a home for the unwanted items @bubbs. Like you, I've hardly ever won anything. I buy raffle tickets when I stay as I like my consultant and SW have hardly had any money from me since I got to target.😁

The satsumas I had today were from the SoW basket so I was lucky to have a decent prize.

Are you below target now? 🤔
