I'm here @joedenise. 😊
Sorry to hear that the shorts didn't work out but thank goodness you used an old sheet to experiment on. Hope you have better luck with the second attempt. 🤞
I did my food shop today as we're out for lunch tomorrow. It's really thrown me as I keep thinking it's Friday evening. I'd love to have a few wine syns but I'm determined to get back into target ASAP so I'm abstaining. I'll need any spare syns for tomorrow.
I went to M&S food when I was out and got some of the syn free English mustard to try.
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, berries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- ham, egg (P), 3 potatoes (F), LO veg and pickles (S)
D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), green stuff, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
Syns - 0😇

Sorry you didn’t get away Joedenise and hope it’s not too expensive. We’ve had a stone chip the windscreen again and as theyd repaired a big chip soon after we bought it….I’m hoping for a new windscreen this time around as it looked a mess with the repaired chip last timeWell done Maddiemay for getting back in target. 👏👏👏
We ended up having a night away. I’d bought Dh a steam train ride as part of his birthday pressie back in November and we decided we’d better use it whilst there were lots of trains running during the holidays. We did chuckle as there were lots of very young families and then old codgers like us 😂😂 We travelled to Cambridgeshire and stayed in the carpark of an old coaching pub which was laid out for MHs. No charge to stay, if we ate in the pub. It was all home made and not badly priced £18 for 2 courses I had liver, bacon and onions which I’ve not had for ages with mash and veg. Plus I had a slice of home made cheesecake which unfortunately would have been laden with syns, unlike the lovely ones posted by Bubbs on here. We had a great day on the train and hopped off at several places. One stop was quite a long one which advertised a cafe in a wildlife and industrial heritage centre. I’d planned a salad….unfortunately it was closed as the staff member phoned in sick so we ate 3 coconut crumblies - which were very nice. We stopped half way home at a place in The Peak District by a river which the bikers love and it’s famous for its fish and chips. It would have been rude to pass on a small portion with mushy peas for £7.50. Worth every penny and syn. The upshot is I’d put 1 1/2lb back on this morning. I’ve been straight back on it today.
Breakfast - hi fi bar and fruit in group 3 syns
dinner - out with old work friend - chicken, bacon and avocado salad……put thy forgot the avocado 😳 - saved us the syns though 😉
tea - sw wrap, hea cheese, stir fried chicken, onion, pepper, onion and garlic
snacks - apple, penguin biscuit 51/2 syns
We’re going out to a fancy burger place on Saturday so I’ll do what I can in between times then I’ve got Dd and gks coming from Tuesday onwards and as they go on Friday were heading to North Wales for a week. I’m thinking I might rejoin sw when I get back for another fresh start and to re gain some holidays….i just don’t like paying for the 2 weeks I’ll miss and I’ve used my holidays…..or I might just go it alone again as going to group hasn’t particularly helped me. I think I get more encouragement on here. I’ll mull it over.January spends - £587.580 -

Morning all, it's a bit brighter today and also a bit warmer after the chill in the air yesterday morning. Need to pop out later to get a bit of shopping, not much as only need some fresh stuff for this weekend. I'm using a lot of stuff from the freezer again this week as don't really want to be buying more stuff with going away in just over a week's time. That seems to be coming round really quickly!
Sounds like you had a full on day @bubbs yesterday. Can you imagine what it's going to be like coming up to Halloween and Christmas? You need to try and pace yourself or you'll be getting burned out.
It was WI this morning and even with eating out and having alcohol I have managed to lose 0.7lb and am now only 0.1lb over top end - the scales did say 0.1lb inside top end and then jumped 0.2lb! Did exactly the same to DH as well so he put on this week!
Today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - lasagne (from freezer), salad - P; S; F; 2
D - Pizza - syns? no idea (this was a change of plan - DH picked up when we went shopping!)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - cheese sauce mix 2; pizza ?
I need to sort out some different fabric for the shorts as the pattern I'm doing now are not a suitable stle for the original fabric unfortunately - I need a lighter fabric as the new pattern has a drawstring waist and my original fabric would be too firm to gather easily. Oh well back to the drawing board!0 -
Another one who did not make it here yesterday, both OH and I felt really under the weather most of the day. Early delivery got me moving and then an appointment at foot clinic in the afternoon - he did laser treatment on heel, fingers crossed!
Sunny start this morning, cold in the night, must check forecast and perhaps replace the duvet.
Into town earlier for bread and meat, very warm by the time we arrived back (2.15 miles walked, better than nothing).
Breakfast was also mushroom omelette for me, lunch sardines on toast with salad nibbles, supper unknown (having to try and cater for OH's iffy appetite.
I will read back later and see how/what everyone has been doing. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Afternoon all 😁
Denise full on it's the word! Now its full on chasing people to collect what they have ordered! Car is full for deliveries tomorrow after group, doubt i'll be home before 1.30! Well done on your loss 👏👏
Maddie it was cold, DH said will have to shut the windows at the rate and honestly he like a heater and he put a sweatshirt on this morning!
Been food shopping and tying to get straight , just sitting down now for half hr before i start tea.
I had a picky plate , free , then day before WI i had a chocolate doughnut 😂😂 i deserved it, lst week i had a gain for no reason so might as well make it worthwhile if i have one this week.

You did the right thing to get straight back on plan @milann. Sorry about the gain.☹️
Hope your DH fancies a reasonably SW friendly dinner @maddiemay, supporting him is the most important thing. 🤞🏼the laser treatment works for you.
This pair of shorts is becoming a bit of an epic @joedenise. Well done Joe for picking up a pizza!🤣
I'm sure you enjoyed your doughnut @bubbs and you've always got plenty of spare syns AND you definitely deserved it after all your hard work. Good luck for WI tomorrow (whatever you want from it🤔) and to @Jellybaby if you're going tomorrow after your week of visitors.
My lunch today was very SW friendly. I think the only syns would have been in some vinaigrette on the side salads. I had what were meant to be loaded potato skins for a starter. Actually what came was a small JP, split in half with grilled cheese on top and what looked like cubes of lean gammon. Then I had a whole trout with plain new potatoes and more salad. I stopped there but DH had 3 courses including treacle tart and custard!
I had fizzy water to drink at lunchtime but plan to have some wine this evening. We're not hungry but I have strawberries in the fridge if I'm peckish later.
How infuriating that the scales wavered but didn't land on your target weight @joedenise . Hopefully you'll get that last few grams off before you go away. I'm feeling quite fat, hope it's not last week's syns catching up, I so want to get that last pound off next Tuesday.
