Morning all,
Belated happy anniversary @maman 🎉
This weather is absolutely crazy. It’s gone from nearly 30 yesterday to dull and grey this morning with a very cool breeze. I had to close the windows earlier, it was getting chilly! Hopefully it’s a slow burner and will get better.
I’m meeting a friend for breakfast and a walk this morning .Never been to this cafe before so no idea the menu but will probably just stick with my usual bacon roll and Americano.I have family visiting for the next three weeks then I’m in Madrid for four days so it’s going to be good when I can for a while. I’m that hamster on her wheel!Today’s food:
B - bacon roll and Americano
L - ham and egg salad, pickles
D - salmon, new potatoes, roasted vegHave a good day everyone.1 -
Morning all, it's the exact opposite for us @Jellybaby - yesterday was cloudy and barely made it to mid 20s, but today is bright and very warm and up to mid 20s already so think it's going to be really hot this afternoon but we'll see.
Bedding is in the wash and will be going out on the line shortly, along with the few bits I did yesterday afternoon which didn't dry on the airer overnight. All nearly dry but still a bit damp on the bits where they were pegged on the line before it started raining and DH brought it in and put on the airer.
At least changing the bed today means I won't need to do it as soon as we get back from Norfolk which is just as well as will have the bedding from the motorhome to do along with a weeks worth of clothes. We're only home for just over a week before we're off to Bulgaria for 2 weeks AI.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, mixed frozen fruit - HEB; S; F
L - minced beef hash - P; S; F
D - beef bourguignon, mash, green veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - none planned
WI day tomorrow so need to keep syns low if I do decide to have any!
Have a good day everyone.

Have a lovely time Joedenise.Happy belated anniversary Maman and enjoy the celebration on Friday.
Yesterday was so hot we decided we needed the air conditioning of the car and a sea breeze so we headed off to a seaside place about an hour away. It’s a NT place and a beautiful beach. We were lucky to get parked and it was absolute bedlam as we were leaving…..nobody would move to let us out….complete gridlock 😳 I’m not one for sitting on the beach but we spent a lovely hour sitting on a sand dune watching the ships heading for the docks around the headland. We managed to clock up 8 miles walking over the day. We had lunch at a ‘spoons, I had a jacket with beans then we headed to the beach where Anthony Gormlerys iron men peer out to sea. Much bettter than sitting at home in the heat.
i weighed in this morning and lost 4 1/2 lb. I think that’s my biggest ever loss. I’ve eaten out twice during the week too. I also won the raffle again. A selection of HEBs…😀January spends - £587.581 -
Congratulations Milann, I am glad you are making the most of the good weather.I have seen Anthony Gormleys Iron men they are impressive.0

New hifi bar, apple crumble and custard 🤔 not for me!
Consultant did answer.
I’ve posed the question on my consultant page as to the syn value of these because it may be that using smash or any other unbranded instant potato in place of flour, would need to be syn’d as flour (4.5syns per 25g) Watch this space guys, I’ll post the replies
Here are the repliesIt would be three syns if you are using the smash made up as directed as part of a filling meal. However, as this being used as a dried ingredient it would be syn’d per 25g like the unbranded listing shows. There isn’t a listing for smash used as a dry ingredient but you could estimate it as 3.5syns as the unbranded is slightly higher. This could potentially make these scones per batch between 14 and 18 syns (depending on whether you syn 3.5 or 4.5.My advice would be if you always made these and counted as 3 syns and you are still seeing the losses you want, carry on. If you are planning on making them, syn the instant mash as dried and protect your weightloss. Great discussion ladies and even caused some consultants to question the syn value with some going one way and some the other.

Morning all, it's going to be another warm one! Already about 20 and forecast to get to about 26 or 27.
Didn't really want to go out today but needs must - my watch has packed up so have ordered one from Argos so will go and pick that up later. At least there's no shopping to do so no extra money will be spent.
I've joined you @maman in the STS camp this week. Really annoying as I weighed myself earlier in the week and I was actually just back in target range (only by 0.1lb but back there!). Will probably have a gain this week with being on holiday as there will definitely be alcohol and treats involved!
I've decided to make another skirt, the same style as the one I've just made, but in a nice medium blue. It was a fairly small piece of fabric I had leftover from something else I made years ago and there was just enough to get all the pieces needed for the skirt. I've cut it out but doubt I'll get anything done to it before we go away. I'm taking a piece of fabric away with us as need to get a zip as don't have one the right colour and there is a sewing shop in the nearest town to where we're staying. Will need to go there as that's where the nearest SM is - it's quite a large Tesco IIRC.
We'll also be going to one of the Indian restaurants one evening as they do a good deal on a Wednesday night for less than £15. They probably make their money on the drinks though!
Anyway, back to today, and the plan is:
B - Weetabix, milk - HEB; HEA2
L - burger, chips, onions, pickles - S; F; 0.5
D - salmon, new potatoes, veg - P; S; F
HEA1 and 2 - milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - none planned
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Great loss @milann 🎉
Have a fab time away @joedenise
Very warm here but cloudy. Have done a few more loads of washing - I’m convinced it breeds, never ending!Shopping all done and family arriving tomorrow. There’s now talk of a BBQ in our group chat, so may need to pop to the shops again for some bits and pieces.Today’s food:
Brunch - ham and cheese toastie using HEXB and A, apple and melon
Dinner - chicken curry with rice
Maybe it’s the heat but I feel fat so not hopeful for WI tomorrow 😳0
