Was it just 6 weeks you maintained for @bubbs. It felt like months and months! I remember we suggested more syns. That's not a problem I have. 🤣

I deliberately cook loads on a Sunday to give me LOs @Jellybaby. Fortunately, our dining room is north facing so we'll be having a roast today despite the weather.

Hope the sewing goes well @joedenise. How did the Thai fishcakes go? 🤔

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
    L- ham (P), savoury rice (F, S), beetroot (S)
    D- roast chicken dinner (P S, F)
    Syns - gravy 4, weekend wine 😁

The Thai fishcakes were OK but could have done with a bit more heat.  They would probably have been better with fresh lemongrass and chilli rather than dried!  The recipe said makes 6 but they would have been huge if I'd done that so I made 9.  Have got 3 in the fridge and if DH doesn't dive into them later (with a bit of sweet chilli sauce) I'll freeze them for another lunch.

Sewing is going OK.  I've done the necessary pressing and the yokes are interfaced.  Now all that needs doing is actually get it all together into one piece as at the moment I've got 2 back pieces, a front, 2 back yokes and facings and a front yoke and front facing.  At the moment it looks like lots of bits but I'm sure it'll come together, maybe not today although I would at least like to get the actual skirt bit done today even if I don't get round to doing the facings and zip.

I was out for the day with ds and dh again yesterday. I had a HEB bacon barm (breadroll for those who aren’t Northerners 😂) with mushrooms and tomato before we left home. We stopped for a cuppa and then we had a sharing board with Lebanese food late afternoon. No idea how to syn what I had but it was mostly veg based with some lamb, rice and hummus. There will have been more fat than I use at home. I passed on the flatbread 😇 We finished off in a fancy hot chocolate shop and I had an 80% hot chocolate and 1/3 rd of a small brownie. So syns we’re had and enjoyed 😀
This morning I nearly succumbed to a massive bread roll bought from a bakery on the market yesterday but resisted and put them in the freezer 😇😇 I made an omelette with ham, frozen spinach, mushroom, onion, pepper and tomato. 1/2 hea cheese (the other half is in the fridge on top of 1/2 omelette that was leftover)   Twas rather delicious and SP 😀
Dinner - pasta with bottom of the fridge hm tomato veg sauce. The rest portioned and frozen.
Tea -  cabbage, carrots, left over new potatoes with  stir fried beef and some beer gravy frozen from beef joint a while ago…approx 3 syns.
I’ve definitely decided SP days aren’t for me but am aiming for at least 1 sp meal per day.
Snacks…..banana, strawberries, blueberries and jelly 1/2syn,  heb 5 walnut halves. Remainder of omelette from this morning.
I love the photos…..I always remember when I’m half way though eating 😂😂
I know exactly what you mean about feeling fat and it being ages since you had a loss. I think my 2 1/2 gain after our wedding anniversary and meals out last week gave me the kick up the backside I needed.
    January spends - £587.58

I spoke too soon!  The overlocker needed the threads changed as it had pale coloured threads on it and the skirt\s grey.  Tried to change to darker threads and ended up with a complete mess!  Anyway DH sorted it out so that I could use it.

The skirt is now in one piece, seams overlocked but stopped after that before anything else went wrong!

Sounds like you had a good day out @milann.  Bet the Lebanese food was good too.

The top is finished @bubbs.  I'm pretty pleased with it.  I'm on to an A-line skirt now!  Should finish this week but won't be taking it away this week as won't be out and about much and when we are I'll be on the back of the scooter so definitely not skirt wearing!  Hoping to take it with me when we go to Bulgaria at the beginning of September.

I don't know where this year is disappearing too!  Can't believe it will be September in a few weeks.

You've made good progress on the skirt today @joedenise. I thought it must be A-line when you said about darts. Or it could have been a pencil skirt which would have been impossible on the scooter! 🤣

Perhaps while you've got the machine out you could run up a few bibs for men. My DH is exactly the same @bubbs. He's got a white t-shirt on today with white looks suspiciously like chocolate on the front and on the sleeve. 🤔

I think it's a man thing, DH is also very messy with getting stuff down his t-shirt.- usually when it involves tomatoes in the sauce - it's the worse thing to get out.  Unfortunately it doesn't always come out completely on the first wash.  As to bibs @maman - they'd just create more washing!  I have enough of that thank you very much!!!

Morning all, another lovely bright day but no washing to do - well not enough for a machine load.  Need to go back down to the hospital where DH had his op last month as we stupidly left our jackets in the wardrobe.  We were going to pick them up when he goes back for his follow up appointment but realised that they're the ones we wear when we go on holiday to wear to and from the airport as they lightweight and can be fitted into our hand luggage.  This of course will much up the meal plan!

    So today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk, fruit - HEB; HEA2; S
L - not sure at the moment but might eat out - if we're home then it'll be a naked burrito bowl with black beans, couscous, veg
D - LO roast gammon, egg, chips, beans, mushrooms

    HEA1 & 2 - milk
    HEB - Weetabix
Syns - depends what we have for lunch!

    Have a good day everyone.

I have done something positive today, I have ordered in my online shop Chocolate weetabix as two are a HeB, which would be a radical improvement to what I have been having plus they have the added benefit of being portioned this arrives 24th August, so a little way off, however I have quite a few other cereals in to tie me over. The one only drawback is that they are £3.75 per box of 24 that is £7.50 for two! Whereas the other cereal I was going to have is £3.16 for 4 Boxes! I still think it is a worthwhile change😊
