Just about to make the patatas bravas recipe @CrazyBee787. As @joedenise said, we use 1 cal spray oil which is syn free but if you don't have any (put it on your list) use a minimum of oil and syn it.
First, cut some potatoes into cubes and parboil for about 5 minutes. Spray with oil and spread them on a baking sheet and roast in oven for about 30 to 40 minutes on 180 fan or use an air fryer if you have one. I'll be cooking my chicken, mushrooms and tomatoes in the oven at the same time and some roast cauliflower as I want to use it up.
For the sauce, chop an onion and soften in a frying pan (I microwave mine first with a splash of water as it speeds things up). Add a crushed clove of garlic (or a large tsp of Lazy Garlic in my case), half tsp of dried chilli flakes and tsp of paprika, cook for about a minute. Add a tin of chopped tomatoes, a tsp of sweetener or sugar and simmer for 20 minutes. Then add a tbsp of balsamic vinegar and cook for another minute or so.
Put the sauce in a bowl and tip the potatoes on top.
You'll have plenty of sauce so you can freeze some for another day or have with pasta.
You could have other tapas that's SW friendly like ham and broad beans and I'm sure there's more.

@joedenise good luck with the 1lb loss, CrazyBee787 I am pleased you have decided to stay.
bubbs, as always your meals look delicious, the cheese and chicken nougats are tempting.
millann I really must try the chicken pizzas - some fillets in the freezer.
@Jellybaby I hope the parents shopping trip was easy, Coxy your last job seems awful, but your holiday trip sounds good.
@maman I really need to get back into batch cooking.
Have a good Saturday all.

Morning all, looks like it going to be another warm day. Can't believe the forecasters are talking about high 20s/low 30s by mid week - that's a bit warm with the humidity we get with it in this country. It's fine when the atmosphere is dryer.
Sounds like you made a good decision by quitting the job @Coxy11. It never sounded as though you were enjoying it even from the start really. Great you've got a good holiday coming up soon. It definitely helps to keep you on track with your eating - well it does me as I know I always put on weight when we're away particularly when we do the AI holidays!
I kept my syns around the 15 mark yesterday by not having an ice lolly in the evening when DH had one! I had been having one of his lollies some evenings last week but didn't want to do that again this week so bought some lower syn ones for myself. His lollies are 11 syns each! the ones I bought are 4 syns which is much better and I actually prefer them funnily enough!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - Thai fishcakes, salad - P; S; F (this is a Joe Wickes recipe which I haven't tried before so hope it works out ok)
D - Fakeaway KFC - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread (actually going to use breadcrumbs instead of couscous tonight!)
Syns - probably have a couple of G&Ts 6
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, what’s this heat you talk of?! I had to put socks and a cardigan on last night it was so chilly!Re work I think you’ve made the right decision @Coxy11 exciting times ahead.
I lost a pound this morning and I’m happy with that. Plodding along will continue 😁. I didn’t stay to group which is unusual but for some reason I didn’t feel like it so left!Today’s food:
B - strawberries, raspberries, mango, protein yoghurt 1.5 syns
L - tomato and red pepper soup, apple
D - homemade burgers, wholemeal roll HEXB, pickles, salad, cheese HEXA, mustard 0.5, burger sauce 3 syns
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Afternoon all! Caught up with everything, glad for hubby Bubbs 💜. Positive thoughts for poorly others & those waiting for results 🤞🏻💜.
Gained the 1lb i lost, really hoping that’s the last of the catch up gains 😢
@CrazyBee787 I’ve been hanging around this forum for over 10 years. Was at target for most of them, then went to pot around Covid. Lots of ups & downs since then especially with hubbies health (CKD) & my own (still no answers) health issues. What I want to say though is the people on here are THE BEST! It’s not all about SW & weight loss, just knowing that whatever we are all going through, this forum is the place for any SUPPORT!You guys keep me going 💜💜
Anywho! Hubby has had to do a sleep study as kidney centre nurses think he has sleep apnoea. Only thing is the tracker he had to wear kept him awake 🤣 also the strap around his chest covered his chest line so probably not a proper reading either.
Weather is glorious here again so hope everyone has a lovely weekend ( least I think it’s the weekend, typical school worker on break here who has no idea what day it is 🤣🤣)Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

You can imagine what it's like being retired! I still struggle to know what day of the week it is and I've been retired for 13 years now!
Do hope your DH's sleep study worked although it doesn't sound as though the mask fitted very well at all so as you say it probably didn't get a proper reading.0 -
Afternoon all 😁
Well done Jelly 👏👏
I lost half so out of bottom of target again, so grace week, i might try 🤣 and have a really good week and lose 2 then i can move my target , but we will see as some doughnuts are calling me tonight, i didn't have one last night because of WI today.
I was also nominated Woman of the Year , i never won , my friend did 😁
Denise, i meant to say dosen't seem 5 mins since your friend moved in year you and now she's moving again.
TIE, lovely to see you posting , sorry things are no better for you both 😢
Really warm here again today , but was chilly on 12 first thing i had to put the heating on in the car 🤣🤣
We had taster at group, i never had any syns, i never even had some chocolate brownie a lady makes, it is divine but 6.5 syns a square!

Sounds like it might be easier for you to move your target @bubbs than try to gain to get back into target. Definitely sound like it was chilly first thing where you are. It was quite warm even at 6.30 this morning when I got up, probably about 15 or 16. Very warm this afternoon and up to about 23 I think.
It was good that you were nominated for Woman of the Year even if you didn't win. Well done on avoiding the chocolate brownie bu maybe if you'd had some of that you would have gain the half you need to get back into target!!!
My friend hasn't been here very long but it is actually just over 3 years - it's got really quickly. As she doesn't drive things have got worse with public transport since she moved in as we don't have any buses at all on Sundays. It's bad enough that they finish around 6 in the evening the rest of the week but not being able to get out on a Sunday makes things worse especially as she likes to go to church and there isn't one locally. Nearest one is in town. She didn't actually move yesterday everything went wrong! They were supposed to be exchanging and completing and they didn't even exchange as there was a problem further down the chain. It's now supposed to be exchanging on Monday and if that happens then moving on Tuesday. Of course there's the added problem on whether the removal company can borrow a van from somewhere as all of theirs are already booked. They've got loaders and drivers available but no van at the moment. So just hoping it all goes ahead as she's finding it really stressful.
We had free electric this afternoon so did some washing to get it out of the way and it's out on the line but should think it's dry by now but I'll leave it a bit longer and then get it in.
Just having a cuppa and then I'm going to go and get dinner ready. Looking forward to Fakeaway KFC!

Oh it's been about 26 this afternoon, i have actually woke about 4 the last 2 mornings cold! The bedroom and ensuite windows are open but when we go bed we have the fan on timer as it's it hot, can't win 🤣
I am having a doughnut tonight there 11 syns 🤣 but still within syns.
I am not sure what to do about target, don't want to lower it and then can't get there.
Oh how stressful for her, hope it all falls into place Monday. Can't get any buses from here any day of the week! When my sister bought her house after her dh died, she bought where she did because of local shops and transport if she can never drive but she really wants to move to the sea side when she stops working, so who knows?
