Maman i would love a chunk of cake 🤣 but i don't have any, so might have something Saturday after been shopping.

At least you had the next best thing to a fish supper @bubbs and cake to celebrate at the weekend is a great idea. 👍
Well done on your loss @milann. 👏👏👏
You did the right thing to abandon the top @joedenise. Now you have the pattern, you could try it in a better fabric.
We've had @Jellybaby's favourite for dinner and it was lush. I've got the simple tomato sauce just right and it tastes delicious. 😋
I meant to say that lots of people at this new group seem to eat the SW ready meals. Apparently there are vouchers coming out soon for some money off. And the magazine is going up by £1.
Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, bacon, egg (P), tomatoes (S), HEA 1 milk
D- ham (P), bubble and squeak (F, S), pickles (S)
D- spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce (P, F, S), HEA 2 Parmesan
Syns - 00 -
I did see on other consultants group page the meals are on offer 5 for £18 i think it was.
Mag going up £1?!!! thats a big jump although i do know if you buy it in the shop it's £3.99 and it has been £1.95 since i started in 2016! but glad i don't pay for mine 🤣 i always pass mine on to Frankie boy too, he is a customer of mine but also goes to group.
Few people in my group use the SW boxes they you get deliveredSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
I've abandoned the pattern too @maman! The instructions just didn't make sense. I've found another pattern - I just need to read through the instructions before I bother tracing off the pattern again as well as finding some better fabric.
Well done @milann on your lb loss. What was the Persian cookery book you used for your Persian banquet which sounded absolutely amazing? Not actually had Persian but suspect it's similar to Moroccan which I love.
Those SW boxes seem extremely expensive to me - would cost a fortune to eat those all the time!
The magazine going up £1 seems a big leap although it's been £1.95 for a long time. Think it was that when I started SW back in 2010. Not many, if any, things have stayed the same price for 15 years!

Good morning all quite sunny and pleasant here.
Well done on the loss @Millan. @joedenise shame about the top, but better just to abandon it.
@maman I have not tried the meals either.
OH saw Gastro Consultant yesterday evening, next step is a more detailed scan, no point conjecturing what it might be just wait for more information, 2 weeks again he says.
Bad day SW and healthwise for me, timing awful for a start. Completely lost food/cooking mojo in bad weather must dig deep.
Have a good day all.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Morning all, not sunny here @maddiemay, cloudy again with rain forecast again, although we didn't get much yesterday even though there was a weather warning from 10am-9pm, we just had a couple of showers. Could do with some rain as our water butts are virtually empty again!
Why does everything always have to take so long to happen, 2 weeks is a long time when you're not well. As you say no point conjecturing might be - that's a good attitude to have.
Do hope you get your food/cooking mojo back soon.
I've got a goat dhansak curry in the slow cooker for dinner tomorrow night. I like to cook it the day before so that I can skim the fat off the top, although having said that there isn't very much fat on it. It's always very hit and miss as to how fatty the goat is but have been lucky with the lot I bought last time. I bought 2 Kg and split it into 4 lots, this is the 3rd lot I've used so one more in the freezer so will need to buy some more after our holiday at the end of August as planning on making another curry to take with us. This holiday is in UK so will be taking quite a few meals with us to save a bit of money and try not to eat out too often although there is an Indian we like where we're going so will definitely do the banquet night midweek as it's good value.
Must sort out some fabric to use for the new pattern I've found but don't want anything too flimsy. Will see if I've got a lightweight cotton - I know I've got some plain white but would prefer something either with a small print or a plain fairly light colour but will have to have a look through my stash. That's the problem with having quite a bit you can never remember what you've bought (or been given) in the past!
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
L - bacon and onion omelette - P; S
D - cottage pie, veg - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - weekend wine
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, sorry @milann missed your loss, well done 👏
Hopefully the appointment will come through sooner if there’s cancellations @maddiemay
I’m enjoying your sewing escapades @joedenise. I can’t sew for toffee and am always impressed when people can whip up something to wear.
Ive got three loads of washing on the line and it’s not forecast to rain but it’s so very dull and grey 🤞
Parents not well with heavy colds so no food shopping trip for them. I was really surprised when mum phoned to cancel as nothing usually stops them! I’ll pop out later and get my shopping and a few bits they need.
I had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and think it’ll be a veggie omelette for lunch with pickles and chilli with rice for dinner.

Let's hope the two weeks passes quickly @maddiemay. Try to focus on the things you can control, like SW (hopefully!).🤣
Sorry to hear the parents aren't well @Jellybaby but at least you've got a day off from the shopping! 👍🏼
I'm not sure what she does for work but there's a woman in my new group that got to target using the SW boxes. She's now changed her job and because she finishes really late she's switched to the SW ready meals. I suppose it's no different from people who do take aways or buy in these frozen meals but very expensive I'd have thought. I wonder if the boxes are like Hello Fresh and Gusto where they supply recipes so that if you like something you can make it yourself without the box. The one and only SW meal that I bought (a jalfrezi curry) had the recipe on the box.🤔
We had a huge downpour with thunder yesterday afternoon but luckily it was very localised and I wasn't here then and it was dry where I was so win/win.😁
It's OK today, dry but a bit cooler. Tomorrow we're going to a beach picnic to celebrate my great niece's first birthday with my family. It'll mean a 5 hour round trip to South Wales but it'll be worth it. Fortunately, everyone is taking their own food so, other than probably some birthday cake, I'll be able to stick to plan.🤞🏼
Glad you're going to enjoy some weekend wine @joedenise. I'll join you!🍷
I've got my meal plan and shop to do this afternoon but need to check what needs using up first.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs, ham (P), tomatoes (S)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese with spring onion (P,S), pickles (S)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), broccoli, mushrooms and whatever other veg (S)
Syns- weekend wine😁0 -
Fantastic news Bubbs…..and good that they’re keeping on top with the blood tests.
Just been to my singing group (not a choir with my voice 😂😂) somebody had made buns and before I knew it I’d eaten one….very nice it was too 😂😂 I’m going to see a show tonight and going to Wagamama for tea. I should be able to get something SW there….my problem will be getting something that isn’t too spicy as I’m a spice wuss 😂 So I might go over by a few but nothing too drastic.
The cookery books I used for the Persian food were Persianna Everyday and Sirocco both by Sabrina Ghayour. There are some lovely things which an be easily adapted to SW.
Im loving the dressmaking stories. I used to make a fair bit when the children were younger but I have a friend who is an amazing seamstress and it’s made me very lazy 😂😂 She has just taken a dress I’d bought up from the waist for me. A bargain as I don’t think it’d had ever been worn. A se@s@lt dress from a charity shop for £2.50. I’m hoping to wear it with a cardigan I’m crocheting for a wedding in Oct…..that’s if I can get a few more LBS off 😳
I remember saying I’d hoped to have been near target by my wedding anniversary…..well it’s on Tuesday and the exact same weight as I was when I re joined in February 🥴 I’ll get there.January spends - £587.580
