Well done @maddiemay.  Seems like you were sticking to SW more than you thought you were!

I'd have been delighted with STS @maddiemay. It's a good result especially when you know that you've not been sticking to plan. Well done!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hope all goes well with your DH tomorrow and that you get results PDQ. There's nothing worse than waiting but good that he's getting all the tests done quickly.🤗

Thanks for the cheesy nuggets recipe @bubbs. I must look out for minced chicken and give them a go.

If you're not a big pasta fan @joedenise, Bolognaise sauce goes well with a JP. When I batch cook it, I always keep a portion out for me to have on a baked potato with salad on the side.😋

Eating up all the fruit and veg is a good sign @Jellybaby, you must have been doing really well on Speed!👍🏼 Which recipe do you use for chicken curry?🤔 We've been having keema lately and, although DH loves it, I've been fancying an Indian style curry like a jalfrezi or bhuna.

It's been a much nicer day today. It's not so stiflingly hot and the high winds have gone.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, berries (P), banana (F), HEA milk
    L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad (s)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes F), cauli, broccoli, carrots (S)
    Syns- LTL mayo 1

There's a chicken bhuna recipe on the PON site @maman.  Not used it but all their recipes I have tried have been OK.

One of my favourite curries is the SlimmingEats butter chicken.  It's a few syns but well worth it.

Afternoon all, another nice day, warm but not too warm and a gentle breeze.  Been down to the butchers at Faversham and spent a fortune but enough meat for quite a few meals.  Shouldn't need to go back there until after our September holiday.  If I need any more meat then I'll just buy at the local SM.

Was looking on line for a jalfrezi curry for you @maman and the BBC Good Food one looks quite good and the only change would need to be 1 cal spray rather than oil.  Chicken shouldn't go stringy as it's cooked separately and then stirred into the sauce later.

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
    L - ham salad - P; S; F
    D - pork chop, new potatoes, veg - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all, very warm today and thunder and heavy rain due in this evening. Needless to say I’ve washed all the bedding.

@maman I’ve been using the SW chicken curry recipe on the app but reducing the liquids and adding extra spice here and there. It’s not brilliant but useful for those CBA days.

Blocked pipe is still, well, blocked! Three times the trade said he’d come and each time there’s been an excuse so will look for someone else.

Food today has been on plan but mainly fruit, yoghurt and some salad as it’s too warm. Dinner likely more salad with ham or tuna.

Thanks for the help with the curry recipes. I'll take a look at the jalfrezi @joedenise as making the sauce separately would be good as it could be used with LO chicken if needed. 👍

It's been a bit muggy here @Jellybaby, rain promised but nothing yet.

We got out for a walk this morning but otherwise having a lazy day.

So far been on plan, fry up and then some ham and LO veg for lunch. We're out for dinner later. The country pub we're going to usually has good SW choices but wine syns will be involved.

I'm definitely doing 'good when I can' at the moment. I seem to be able to motivate myself when I've only got a pound or so to get to target range but finding it harder when there's a lot to shift. 🤔

    Hi all,

Sorry to be AWOL. Busy trying to bite my tongue at work and also have a life on my NWD's. Currently decorating DS2's bedroom, trying to keep up with our garden, and the community allotment. Food is 'meh' but did make a beetroot, feta and apple salad for lunch (beetroot from the plot) and have some to take to work tomorrow.

Dinner tonight is Cajun pork meatballs from the Fast Feasts book, courgette gratin (3 different types of courgette from the plot) and some rice. We are at the pub quiz after dinner. I'm taking some chocs we won last month for coming third. We have yet to win it - could tonight be the night?!

I haven't weighed in two weeks but have been having tummy issues again so doubt I've lost anything. Bloated, sore, not 'going' for days on end. Just ridiculous and not fun at all.

Welcome back @joedenise - sounds like a fab time away. Which butcher do you use in Faversham please (West St or Preston St)?

Welcome back @Coxy11, sorry to hear work isn't good at the moment.  Are you going to be looking for something else or continue biting your tongue?

Not sure what street the butchers is in but it's Tommys butchers.  His sausages are really good - he doesn't sell them as low fat but they certainly are - no fat comes out of them at all and in fact need to spray the pan otherwise they stick.  We've bought some burgers this time which we haven't tried before so hoping they're low fat as well otherwise we'll have to go back to the Island butcher for his low fat ones!

We've got a week in Norfolk booked for middle of next month but haven't decided what we're going to do for September but will probably do the Eastern side of France and possibly a bit of Belgium/Germany but we'll see.  Nothing booked yet as going to wait until after DH's shoulder op next week and see how that goes.

Morning all, weather not looking too bad at the moment but we're forecast heavy, thundery showers tonight and tomorrow so am getting the washing done.  Also want to change the bed and get that washed.

The motorhome went in for service and MOT earlier this week so hopefully we'll be able to pick it up today.  DH said we needed it back by Monday otherwise it would be stuck in their carpark for another 2 weeks as he won't be able to drive!

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - jacket potato, cottage cheese, salad - P; S; F
    D - fish pie, veg - P; S; F; 4

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - cheese sauce mix 4

    Have a good day everyone.
