Morning all, not long been home.  Have been reading but couldn't post as for reason my password wasn't being accepted on my iPad so had to wait until now to get on to the forum!

Your DH is doing amazingly well so soon after his op.  It was a good job you woke up when you did.  Ingenious to use the step ladder to hold his night bag!

That was only a very small gain @milann for a couple of weeks including going away - I'm pretty certain my gain will be more just from this weekend away!

Don't think I posted Thursday morning before we left and I was really pleased to have lost that pesky half pound and was bang on top end of target!  About time too!!!  No doubt that and more has been gained over the weekend so will try and keep fairly low syn all week to hopefully get back to that!

Have a great break @Jellybaby.  It's always nice to get away for a break which is why we often nip off for a couple of nights - certainly a big advantage of being retired and not tied to the Mon-Fri working week!

    Today's plan:

B - sausage sandwich (in the van before we came home) - HEB; 5
    L - sweet chilli noodles with herbs and salad bits - S; F; 3
    D - lamb and chickpea tagine, couscous - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; LF spread 3; Sweet chilli sauce3

So much for low syn, LOL!  Will definitely keep it lower syn the rest of the week!

    Have a good day everyone.

Definitely some perks to being retired Joedenise 😃 just being able to take off when we can 🚍👍
    Today I’ve had
breakfast - heb barmcake with bacon, mushrooms and tomato
dinner - leftover rice and stir fry from last night.
tea - could go very wrong as I’m going out to watch The Saltroad with a friend. Not sure if we’re eating out yet but usually involves wine when I go out with her. I’ll make mine a spritzer then go on lime and soda and if we do eat out I’ll stir her to one of The Lounges which I think still does salads.
Snacks - banana and a satsuma so far
Dh brought a 2 good to go bag from Greg get his morning 😡 it contains 4 sausage rolls, 2 filled baguettes, 2 Chelsea buns and 2 iced lemon cakes……take about temptations 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 so far I haven’t touched them AND he knows I bought a 12 week countdown. We’ve got lots of food to use before we go on Monday so WHY 😡😡😡
    January spends - £587.58

    Afternoon all .

Well done Jelly and SSue, half is a half loss they all add up 😁

Denise glad you had a couple of good nights away and well done getting back in target!

Coxy we didn't either until McMillian nurse said. But my god he is like a tap today 😱 every half hr it's full!

Well i gained 0.5 so back in target, tethering again 😂 I just weighed i didn't stay today as needed to go food shopping and didn't want to leave him too long.
He was up when i was at 6.30, but he's had a good couple of hrs kip this afternoon, he said he feels shattered and tbh he looks it.

Had a picky plate for lunch,  pitta pizza for tea

It seems all about half pounds since I last posted but with very mixed reactions!

@joedeniseand @bubbs have a half off and on respectively which keeps them in target. @milann has done really well to only gain a half after a holiday. @Jellybaby is OK with her half off but @Suffolksue is pi**ed off about the same result! 🤣

I'd agree with @joedenise that you really should try to draw a line and stick with the plan @Suffolksue . It can often happen that it takes more than a week to show a decent loss. It happened to @Jellybaby the other week and then she lost 4lbs IIRC.

Well done on getting back into running @Coxy11.  It's really hot here today so hope you managed OK. I did get the rhubarb out of the freezer and DH had some with custard after his lunch. It's not that I don't like it but he stewed it and added loads of sugar so I don't think it's worth the syns.

Yes @bubbs it is a whole year since DH was taken ill and we missed last summer's holiday. We haven't been anywhere all year partly because of all the building work and because he couldn't fly while waiting for his surgery . Hopefully next week's holiday will be the first of a few trips this year. I expect the tiredness is because your DH is still getting over the surgery so the napping is good.

We're hoping to see The Salt Marsh this week @milann. We saw the trailer when we went to see Mr Burton. Hope you enjoy it and find something SW friendly afterwards.

It gives me a huge boost when I know I'm in target range @joedenise. Well done on persevering and getting there. I find your 'good when I can' mantra really useful. I think where people go wrong is to go off plan for a meal or a holiday and not get back on it afterwards.

I did really well in Aldi yesterday as they'd just been marking down various items. As well as some bits of veg, I had 2 packs of 3% mince and chicken breasts at 50% off so really pleased with that. I portioned them up for the freezer earlier.

    Today's plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, strawberries (S), banana (F)
    L- Spanish omelette (P,F,S, some HEA2 cheese), pickles (S)
D- chicken stir fry with noodles (P,F,S)
    Syns- honey 2.5, weekend wine😊
