    Morning all,

Hope DH (and you) had a better night @bubbs. Let’s hope he is more comfortable today. Agree that cancer is awful but kudos to DH for his pragmatism xxx

Amazing how we beat ourselves up about ‘only half a pound’ when as @bubbs says, they all add up. I’m waiting for WI tomorrow to see if I join the club this week!!

We had smoked salmon and pea pasta last night. My first time having pasta for a week. I will look for GF pasta today - know that Aldi do a chickpea version of spiralli that I bought once. I remember the texture was very soft/mushy so mustn’t overcook it.

Food shopping today with Mum. I’m currently blocked in on our drive as DD had a school friend over last night. They got Chinese snd DH despite having eaten, ordered pork balls and offered me one. TBH they aren’t my favourite so I was happy to pass. He then filled the biscuit barrel with creams which again I can’t bear. Won’t be buying any biscuits or chocolate today as we have a few packets in already. Will just get my skinny bars 👍

We spent about three hours cutting and edging the lawn yesterday as it hadn’t been done for a month. Looks good. Today we hope to finish DDs floor and start DS2’s windows - sanding down to remove mahogany colour wood stain which really dates the house.

    Food:
B - cheese on GF toast - HEA, HEB
L - JP, mackerel in mustard sauce, lettuce, toms, cucumber, pickles - 1, free, S
D - grilled gammon steaks, sw chips, baked beans, apple - P, free, S
    HEA - milk
    Syns - skinny bar 3.5, plus 1 - 4.5 total

    Have a good day all

Morning all, nice and blowy this morning and definitely not as warm as yesterday.  Have done a machine load of washing which is out on the line.

DD1 came over yesterday afternoon and we spent most of the time in the garden chatting and drinking (I was was on 0% G&T and DD1 on Diet Coke).  DD2 is coming today but not sure what time but suspect before lunch as she said she wanted to pop into the boot fair and have a walk on the beach before coming up.  I need to pop out and buy some bread as only have about 2 slices left!  Also need to pick up a cucumber.  There's other stuff on my list but not needed for a couple of days so will leave that until Tuesday probably.

Hope both you and DH had a better night last night @bubbs.  Disturbed sleep is awful.

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon sandwich - HEB; P; 3
    L - stuffed peppers, salad - HEA2; P; S; F
    D - pork steak, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, green veg - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LF spread 3

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all .

No we didn't have a good sleep 😢 4.45 he felt like he wanted to "go" what a time 😂 but of course you have to unhook night bag and re hook back on, then we just sort of dozed, so i think dozy dora will be happing a nap later 😂 actually got up at 8 which is brilliant if slept all the way through.

Coxy good luck tomorrow on WI 🤞I did our lawn and weeding Friday , think it was, getting mixed up with my bloody days now 🙄😂

Well  i took a chicken out to cook, dubt will will have a roast , but might make picky plates up or have a salad, will see what he wants, he is not eating much really at the moment, only had half his picky tea last night, told me to only cook half what he normally has.

There has been a really bad fire on a retail park here, kids started it on a busy Saturday afternoon INSIDE Dunelm, and it's spread to about 3 or 4 shops! Little B******

I do hope you can join the (at least) 0.5lbs club tomorrow @Coxy11.🤞🏼

It's hard when you have synful foods in the house to tempt you @Coxy11. I find the best way is to buy DH stuff I don't like. I can take or leave his biscuits and cakes but have found it harder recently to ignore his 70% chocolate that he has after dinner every evening. DH had got in the habit of giving me a square every day but I asked him to stop last week as I was on a mission to get into target range before my holiday. Hope @milann managed OK with the Greggs TGTG bag that her DH bought!

Washing on the line here today too @joedenise. Well done on sticking with the 0% gin yesterday.😇

DH plans to mow our lawns tomorrow partly because the garden bin goes this week and so that it can get a much needed drink when it's due to rain on Tuesday.

That's shocking about the Dunelm fire @bubbs. I really worry about how lawless society has become in recent years.🥲

Maman, it's absolutely terrible, spread further along think 5 shops including dreams and b&m and another i can't think of, they are STILL fighting it now and it was done at 3pm yesterday, 3 teens arrested and in custody  , they need locking away not a slap on the wrist! There is also about another 6/8 shops on this retail bit and obviously they are shut too, how no one was injured or killed i'll never know but these arsonist need to thank their lucky stars there!

Shops over the other side of the rd that runs along side including a massive, lidl, aldi and b&q all shut as well as no electric, imagine all the food that will now be wasted from fridges and freezers! don't know if the retail area the back of Dunelm is open but about 8 big shops there too.

    Anyway lunch

Hexb, half hexa cheese spread, ham and beetroot in pitta, seafood sticks, tomatoes and watermelon

    Dh says yes to roast.

Change of plan for lunch.  Didn't expect DD2 to arrive as early as she did and didn't have enough peppers.  Her partner doesn't eat couscous so wouldn't have been any good for him anyway so DD2 and I had ham salad and DH and DD2's partner had ham salad sandwich.

We'll have the stuffed peppers during the week instead.

DD1 arrived for coffee as I was doing earlier post.

That's truly shocking that such vandalism can create so much disruption for so many people and only sheer luck that no one was killed or injured.☹️

It's a good sign that DH wants a roast @bubbs. Maybe he won't eat a huge portion but a little of what you fancy does you good. It's much cooler here today so we'll enjoy our roast later too.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F)
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (F)
D- JO roast pork (P), new potatoes (F), roast veg, greens, cauliflower, swede & carrot mash, red cabbage (S)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊

    Everyone's dd's arriving today 😂

Yes he just said i don't want alot, really he has not eaten much, but is eating, could do with losing a few lbs but not like this 😂 it is cooler here today. He is not as good today either, passing alot of clots, it's every time he gets up , i just said is the sofa too low? He said he thinks it is as it's every time he gets up so think he's straining himself, so i have just folded a load of throws to make a big cushion to see if it makes any difference.

It'suite windy too and we are about 3-4 miles from the fire and the smell of smoke today is strong, think because of the wind. Just seen some more pics . Apparently a man stopped them starting a fire in the toilets , then they ran off down stairs and did it 😡😡

Yes and  those other 2 retail parks all closed too, it's just horrific

That’s so awful about the fire @bubbs. Those responsible should be sued for the loss to businesses. Lucky no one was hurt.

That’s a good idea to raise DH’s seat - let’s hope it helps. Good that he’s eating xx

I took Mum food shopping. Didn’t buy any chocolate or biscuits as we have enough in for DH  and DD. DH finished DD’s flooring and I hand sanded two windows - one with four sections and two openers and the other with two sections. Took all afternoon and my hands feel like they’ve been slammed in a door 😭 Also had ironing to do tonight. Was glad of an easy dinner of gammon and chips!!

Have made myself a tortilla to take for breakfast tomorrow at work. Lunch will be LO mushroom risotto.

    Coxy it was horrific 😢

He never ate hardly any tea 😢 lot of blood and a lot of pain earlier, spoke to my friend that work in incontinence, we have got to the bottom of it i think, which when you think about it is obvious, he does not have a top leg strap, hospital never gave him one 😡 so his todger is experiencing trauma every time he gets up, I am going to collect one from her tomorrow. I have done a temporary one and *touch wood* it's working.

Well done not buying the goodies 👏👏

    I ate my tea 😜

4 syns gravy , 2.5 for rank shop bought yorkie 😂
