    Morning,

Yes Jelly once we had sorted the night catheter out, what a palava  as we had no where to hook the bag and obviously it has to be low, we tried all sorts, then i said what about the step ladders 😂 hooked on them just right, so his new bedside companion is step ladders and a night bag for a week 😂

Oooo have a lovely holiday, sun's out here , suppose i'll be putting more washing in 🙄 story of our lives

    Food no idea yet

That was an ingenious solution for the night stand @bubbs. Well done! I can't believe Mr Bubbs got home so soon after major surgery. That's amazing.🤗

I'm counting the days to my holiday @Jellybaby. I've been to Majorca but never to Palma (other than the airport). I'll be interested to know how you find it as it's really easy to get to for a short break. Good idea to plan your meals from what you have in. Although we still have nearly 2 weeks to go, I'm already thinking of what to buy in tomorrow that won't get finished up within the time.

Went to WI this morning and all is well!! Although I'd gained a pound since my last WI (about 6 weeks ago), I'm still well within target range. Actually half a pound over, so 2.5lbs leeway.👍🏼

I was so relieved as it would have been really hard to lose anything in the coming week as I'm out to eat twice and really didn't want to be forced to choose SW friendly if I didn't want to. I'll stick to plan in between though so not going completely mad!🤣

Today I've had my usual WI day breakfast of two Weetabix, LOs for lunch and tonight we're out for dinner with friends. Back on it tomorrow.😊

Great news from your WI @maman x

Glad you were able to find a solution @bubbs. Hope he's doing okay (and you, obviously!).

Ooh Palma @Jellybaby - please let me know what it's like, it's on my list of places to go.

NWD for me so I headed for the community kitchen garden early doors. They wanted folk to weed the strawberry beds x 6 and surrounding edges. Did one bed on my own, then my neighbour arrived so we did the other 3 together. Another couple and their DD did the other two. Flaming nettles got me several times on the leg, arm and most painfully on my finger and thumb. Still smarting now hours later. I've taken antihistamine and used sting cream, but still sore.

My rewards were some mutant rhubarb which I've made into crumble base with butter, sugar, ginger and a little water. Will freeze without a topping for later in the year. Also cut some fresh mint and some chives which are in the fridge.

    Food today:
B - GF toast, scraping of butter, marmite, blueberries, banana - HEB, 1, Free, S
L - LO sticky chicken, rice and pak choi - 2
    D - SW burger in a bowl - 1
    HEA - milk
Syns - skinny bar 3.5 plus 4 so 7.5 total

    Evening all 😁

Maman the steps are in the kitchen tucked in-between cupboards as although i am 5'6" i can't reach the corner cupboard 😂
It is amazing he's home really, he is doing really well and said he felt much better once he had had a shower. Can tell he's bored already but better get used to it for next 6 weeks , although he said he will come shopping but not this week, he cannot carry anything either but that is not a problem.

I feel better today too, it's amazing what a nights sleep does.

I went to Palma many moons ago so guess it's changed alot since then!

Well i thought i was having pulled pork for tea, you know what thought thought 😂 DH goes that's what you get for not labelling 😜

    Lunch i had

2 cracker bread, 2 syns, scraping of cheese spread, ham, eggs, tomato and beetroot and 2 pears

Chicken, now not sure on sv but I would not have bought seasoned if it was over 3 so counting 3, hexb and half hexa

    Morning all,

Good to see DH still has his sense of humour and is in good spirits @bubbs

Well done on still being within target range @maman. You can have a glorious time in Turkey!  I love the anticipation of a holiday, I think more than the holiday sometimes 🤣

I’ve a lunch on today with mostly ex-colleagues but I’m still debating if I’ll go. These events usually end up a moaning session (being polite here!) and I left early the last time as it was depressing.  Who needs that? Think I might have made up my mind!

Anyway, breakfast was fruit and yoghurt, lunch will be the last of the salad stuff with some boiled eggs and pickles and dinner will probably be chilli from the freezer on a baked potato.

    Have a good day everyone.

Will you be going to WI tomorrow @Jellybaby or are you flying off before then?🤔 I'm sure you'll have a great time. Don't blame you if you decide not to go out for lunch if it's depressing, who needs that??

Hope you got plenty of sleep last night @bubbs. I'm sure you'll get into some sort of routine but it's early days yet.

I label most foods with masking tape or write on the freezer bag but it seems your Unidentified Frozen Object turned out well anyway!🤣

I've got some rhubarb in the freezer too @Coxy11. It seems to have been there for ever, I must encourage DH to eat it up.

We had a lovely time with friends last night and mostly I chose quite wisely just because it's the sort of food I enjoy. I had a prawn cocktail starter and then sea bream with roasted vegetables. I did have some bread which I normally ignore and had a dessert which is rare for me. I had affogato but with amaretto as well as the coffee and really enjoyed it.

Back on plan today. The fridge is almost empty and I seem to have a long shopping list of bits and pieces before I even do my meal plan.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), potato (F) mushrooms, tomatoes, spring onions, pickles (S) - basically a hash of bits left in the fridge
D- hake (P), SW chips, yet to be bought veg (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😊

    Afternoon everyone,

I’m on a training course today in a new to me venue. Wasn’t sure what the lunch options would be so brought an apple, blueberries, a mini cheddar portion and a skinny bar. There is a canteen apparently but I’ve decided to eat in the car and read my book rather than be tempted. Saving skinny bar for the drive home - I am a creature of habit lol.

Breakfast was later than usual given I was starting later, so I had GF toast with a poached egg. Dinner tonight is lime and chilli grilled salmon, Boston beans and boiled rice.

Glad DH is doing okay @bubbs. A sense of humour does help!

Good meal choices @maman - do you not like rhubarb?

I too would avoid the ex-colleagues moanfest @Jellybaby - your use it up lunch sounds much nicer!

Sorry to ask again but can anyone tell me the syn value of a 21.5g Twirl single finger? I need to update my syns from Tuesday. TIA xxx

    Afternoon all 😁

Maman i meant to say yesterday, does not seem a yr since you had to cancel with DH being taken ill 😱

Jelly did you go for lunch?

Coxy, you do what's best for you and no temptation 🥰 can't say i have been the same this week 😂 I will weigh tomorrow but not stopping, going shopping straight after, will be back by 9.30 at latest.

No i didn't sleep well, dunno what was up with me, i sat bolt upright at 2 am and DH said what's up? I said just getting comfy 😂 but don't know what the problem was really, but good job i did as his night bag was full 😱 so we sorted that and then nodded back off again.
He asked me when we go up again what was wrong, was it my shoulder? I said no, he said i know what it is , you are whittling but it's a good job you did wake up because of night bag.

I said to him this morning when he went to make a cuppa , don't you pick that kettle up it's heavy! I have really noticed lately it is (i sound like my mum 😂) he goes your worried about the kettle, you wanna feel the weight of these bags on my leg 😂

Done the grass this afternoon and some weeding, it's really hot out there although quite cloudy.

    Food today

4 ryvita crispbreads , half hexb, egg mayo 1 syn, beetroot and tomato , watermelon.

I am having fake kfc for tea, dh wants beans on toast, he really needs the loo , sorry if TMI 😂 he thought this might help him, he has to take 3 laxatives a day as well, i said better have dyno rod on standby 😂😂😂
