    Morning early birds,

I slept better than I did night before but not properly if you know what I mean?

He messaged last night and they stopped all fluid and drinking last night as it  was coming like a fountain 🙈

I've messaged this morning he said slept on and off, in pain but they're on it and trying to control it.

I said won't be long and I'll see him, can go at 11 😁

I took burgers out to have yesterday,  really didn't fancy them so there in the fridge for today and I had ham and beetroot pitta,  some crisps and watermelon.

Glad you can see DH this morning @bubbs. Make sure you take time to eat and look after yourself too xx

I’m in the office today and made a small tortilla for breakfast - half tin of mashed potatoes, egg, red pepper and spring onions plus seasoning. I had a small pot of ketchup (50g) that I brought in but only used half. Will syn as 2.

Lunch is LO BNS and chilli risotto plus a banana. I have my apple for my 3pm snack and a skinny bar for the train. Tonight’s dinner is mushroom risottto (should have planned better!!) but I don’t mind.

    Have a good day all

It's a good sign that your DH is feeling up to messaging you @bubbs and I'm sure he'll enjoy your visit today. I agree that you need to look after yourself too and well done for having some crisps!👍🏼

I get days like that too @Coxy11. Invariably if I've planned a sausage casserole with bacon and beans, DH will cook a fry up with bacon and beans in the morning. I don't really mind as I love eating them.😋

I made up some mustard to go with the gammon last night rather than have some from a jar. Wow! It was really hot. I've some left that will hopefully go with lunch.

We've got the electrician here today. He's just arrived so fortunately no really early start needed. I'm going to get my hair cut shortly and hope that we'll have electricity when I get back otherwise it'll be a late lunch (or change of plan to a cold one) for me. He will need to turn the power off at some point but hopefully not for too long.🤞🏼

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (F,S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,F,S), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

Good your DH is messaging @bubbs he’ll be home before you know it then it will be Nurse Bubbs 😀

I’m on a roll this morning - hair cut, nails done (twice a year treat!), bought a new toaster and they had coffee machine descaler on 30% off so bought two bottles and also picked up birthday gifts for my dad and friend.  I’m definitely reading my book all afternoon!

Breakfast was mango, strawberries and 1.5 syn yoghurt, lunch is going to be a ham and mushroom omelette with pickles and there’s chicken and lentil Dahl with homemade flatbreads for dinner. Hoping I can use HEXB and some syns for the flatbreads but will need to check recipe with DS and work out.

Afternoon all, it's been a bit busy this morning.  I've done 2 loads of washing including bedding and hung it out on the line.  All dried, folded and put away.  Still got to remake the bed though!

We needed to go and pick the motorhome up from the garage.  DH drove up there and I left him to it while I went into town to do a bit of shopping.  He was obviously home before me as just had to pay and drive home.

Glad your DH was up to texting you @bubbs and they've stopped the drip.  I'm sure he'll be glad to see you.  Any idea how long he's likely to be in?

DH has already had a phone call from the hospital with the dates for his op (after our holiday) and the pre assessment (before our holiday) so that's all sorted.  It's just a day op fortunately so at least I'll only have one long drive to do!

    Today's plan:

    B - Scrambled eggs, toast - HEB; P
    L - 2 pea soup - P; S; F
    D - Moroccan salmon traybake - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

He's home 😁😁 they said 1 night and they were right, he looks so much better , catheter only for a week, they have changed it for everyone too a week, so back next week, the then we have the 12/6, 6/7 blood test, 2 weeks later consultant so it's going to be all go.

No injections they don't do them anymore either, i said the information they give you is so out of date now, Alice ( McMillian nurse) said they are in the process of changing it all.

Glad dh has his appointments Denise.

They were just serving lunch when we left and dh ordered ham salad, so brought it home 😂 I had it just added some beetroot and 0.5 mayo too it , was lovely, they ham was lovely.

Glad that DH is home @bubbs and looking a lot better.  Very sensible to. bring the ham salad home so you could have it!  What did DH have instead?  We had a change of plan as time just disappeared after I got home from shopping so we ended up with a tuna mayo salad instead of the soup as DH didn't want to wait another 20 minutes or so for it to cook!

DH and I have decided to go away in the motorhome for a couple of nights so it's going to be a case of good when I can as will probably end up eating out!  Think we're going tomorrow and Friday night and coming home Saturday afternoon/early evening rather than doing a Friday to Sunday weekend.

Going to need to rejig the menu plan yet again!

I forgot to say i went lidl to get some strawberries before i was going to see him and they had some boxes 😁it was while i was in there at the till he rang and said they are letting me go! I said well i was on my way anyway just getting some strawberries so i got there about 10.30 he said they let you in ok then? Assume you bought one of the boxes and just left them in your boot as well as the strawberries!
