Back from the hospital and the consultant doesn't think he actually needs a new shoulder at the moment so he's just going to do keyhole surgery and "clean it up"! Thinks it's better to keep the new shoulder on the back burner for the time being. His waiting time is about 6 weeks so have given the hospital our holiday dates so it's likely to be July/August for the op. Means I'll have to do all the driving for a couple of weeks (which as you probably all know I absolutely hate!)0

Afternoon all
Thanks all🥰🥰
Just to let you know, consultant just called everything gone well, now I can breathe 😁 he said he will be in recovery for another couple of hrs, but I'll leave here about 5 because of traffic, i don't mind sitting in the car park or can go and get a drink.

Thanks so much for letting us know @bubbs. Delighted everything went well. I expect he'll be very groggy and it'll take a while to get over the anaesthetic but it's worth it. I'm sure you're pleased the waiting is over. It must have been a long day already. 🤗
I'm sure Joe is pleased that he doesn't need a replacement yet @joedenise. That's good news but sorry you'll have to be the chauffeur for a while.
I'm still managing to stick to plan, just about. I don't feel any thinner but I only needed half a pound to get back in range so 🤞 for Thursday.
DD1 came this morning and we went out for lunch. I had a JP with cheese, beans and a generous salad. I gave my coleslaw to DH and had a glass of water to drink. Eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes for breakfast and I've got gammon, new potatoes and green beans for dinner.0 -
Glad things have gone well for your DH @bubbs and you can breathe again.
I'm pleased DH doesn't actually need a replacement yet but no doubt it will mean another operation at a later date but we'll just have to wait and see.
I'm definitely not sticking to plan this week with DD1s partner making brownies - even though they are small I think they probably need synning higher than the 6 I've been counting - I definitely don't feel as though I've lost anything and probably have put back on the lb I lost week. Will see on Friday morning!

Glad to hear all went well @bubbs xx
Also glad that DH can have a lesser procedure @joedenise. Shame about being a chauffeur but glad it’s not for too long.I had a mahoosive lunch. DH came home early and ate his two rounds of sandwiches, crisps and two chocolate bars. I had a JP, leftover chilli con carne, gherkins, pickled red onion, pickled red cabbage, toms, cucumber and lettuce. DH said “wow are you hungry?!” which pipped me off a bit as a) he wasn’t meant to be there to see it and b) apart from 1 syn for the JP it was all free or speed!! Cheek!!
Have just popped to Faversham where all the shops seem to shut at either 2pm or 3pm(?) but got a couple of household bits plus some sewing items in the haberdashery shop. Just had my skinny bar and a coffee. Forgot that the sticky chicken is 2 syns so will finish on 7 today.Good choices at lunch @maman 😊Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
