Well done @Suffolksue x
Thanks so much @bubbs. I will try making some savoury muffins. I’m only in the office on Weds as have BH Monday off and on a training course in Canterbury on Friday. I’m sensitive to ham apparently(?) so will do red pepper and spring onion. Shouldn’t have green or yellow peppers - DSis can’t have red, so between us we can eat a whole packet 🤣 Other things I shouldn’t have red and rose wine, rum(😭), king prawns, lamb, skipjack tuna, sh1take mushrooms, raspberries. Will try to cut those things out and see if I can shift any weight/feel less bloated 🤞🏻Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings1 -
Well done on your loss @Suffolksue! 👏👏👏
I think you're right that leaning more towards SP can help. We do need some carbs but the protein and Speed are the essential part.
You really sound in the zone @Coxy11 and very determined.👍 I'd suggest a crust less quiche like a Spanish omelette with some sliced cooked potatoes to make it more substantial than the egg muffins. If you have HEA available then cheese on top is tasty. 😋

Morning all, we had rain overnight again but dry and very windy at the moment so a machine load of washing is on the line - don't think it will take long to dry! Keeping an eye on the weather as it is very cloudy at the moment but not forecast to rain so I'm hopeful!
Well done @Suffolksue on your good loss. Definitely worth upping the Protein and Speed and reducing the carbs.
Sounds like things could be a bit difficult with the intolerances @Coxy11. Had to laugh when you said you could share a pack of peppers with your DSis! It seems rather a random list though although the start of the things have "red" in them. Looks like you're going to have to find another go to spirit instead of rum and stick with white wine when you want wine!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - LO quiche, salad - P; S
D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, roasted carrots and peppers, green veg, mint sauce - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese (0.5)
HEB - none planned but may have a cereal type bar later
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
I’m in A!di car park waiting for it to open. Have had a two egg cheese omelette for breakfast. Not that I should have cheese really but hey ho!
Planning on HM veg soup for lunch and we are having roast chicken later with lots of veg. Mum and DS2 are coming so no wine for me as I’ll need to drive Mum home afterwards. As @joedenise says, it’s windy here.Cannot believe it about rum - I have about 4 unopened bottles as seem to get gifted one each birthday and Christmas from BIL and don’t have it all that often. Will need to gift it to DS1 and DS2!
Will switch to gin!!Have a good day all.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
It's windy here too @joedenise, so perfect drying weather.👍🏼 It looks a bit grey but no rain is forecast.
Perhaps you could try cutting out all the intolerances @Coxy11 and then reintroducing a little of each one at a time to see what the main issues are.🤔 That's what I did with DH before he had his gall bladder surgery and it meant he didn't miss out on things that didn't really trigger the flare ups.
I've decided on a change of plan for today. I was going to do a roast with a beef casserole. We've got football this afternoon but, as it doesn't start until 4pm, we'll be lucky to be home by seven and I really CBA to wait for the roast potatoes etc and then clear up afterwards. So we'll have our favourite meatballs with some of the tomato sauce I made yesterday and the roast can wait until tomorrow.
Last day for Crunchie until August! 🤣
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- JP(F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (P,F,S), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- LTL mayo 1, half Crunchie 3, weekend wine😊
