Was in Wimbledon yesterday so popped into a few shops, compared with my "local" expensive!  Most were nicely laid out though but the stuff was dubious for the price!

I now have an assistant bag snaffler….the ‘gentleman caller’ has become quite proficient in recognising good makes, real leather, bargain prices etc.  Mind you, he doesn’t half get some funny looks when he’s rifling through the bag shelves and when he calls to me across the shop, “is Michaek Kors a good name”.

This weeks bargains from Otley….a b/n pair of black The Collection black trousers 99p from St Gemma’s and a b/n White Stuff dress £24.99 from Oxfam, (pricy but attached price tag was £79 and I have had a few nice sales on Vinted lately).  Today, from the Thirsk got a pair of b/n Clarks walking boot/shoes with fleecy linings for £8.45.

my vacuum broke a year of so ago and I bought a stick type one off Amazon. Never been keen, doesn't seem to pick up very good. Today I bought in the Air Ambulance charity shop a few miles from me a Hoover 300, looked unused for £30. Despite hoovering last night the cyclinder picked up loads! Think it's a good buy. I did look and they retail from about £100 and have great reviews. I only actually have lounge, stairs, rug in conservatory and small box room that are carpeted. 2 bedrooms are wood floored as is the conservatory but I am happy with the purchase

A well trained assistant is a gem. No more putting an item down to look at something else to find some unscrupulous person of unmarried parentage has possessed themselves of it & whisked it to the till. Plus a bearer to help lug the hunt outcome home. (OK I did get a few odd phone calls -  "mum, can you meet me at the whatsit pub, really soon?" the dear wee lad had been ruthlessly abandoned [with a haul] whilst his father & brother continued the hunt.)

In a similar vein, being 6ft 4in tall, I frequently get "loaned out" by Mrs Fiver to ladies struggling to reach things on the top shelves of supermarkets.....

The big sell of cordless stick was being lightweight hence less difficult to drag round the house. I held off for perhaps a year and watched prices before buying my Dyson, which is a complete disappointment compared to the wired cylinder version. Luckily, that is very much still in action.

You're the sort I look for when the milk is right at the back of the fridge at Lidl.  Once there were just a load of shorties about so I had to look in the middle aisle to get some bbq tongs....

I’ve reached the stage of needing to look for ‘shorties’ to rescue stuff from the bottom shelves! 🙄

 along with a teeny tiny blue, turquoise and white the Sak leather wallet and phone holder for £4.50. Only downside is there is no room for my  reading glasses which come everywhere with me. Although I did get a glasses chain in the CS a while back.
Also a Topshop silver pleather skirt £5.
White Crocs £4.
The joy of having size 2 to 3 trotters is that often you can pick up outgrown shoes with little wear.
