Lakeland are really good with giving you a refund if you show them that it's not fit for purpose. I bought a chipper from them but it was only plastic and after just a few uses it just wouldn't work. Took it back and wasn't even offered a replacement just an immediate refund.
Another time I bought a pair of kitchen scissors and they blunted really quickly so I returned them and was asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I had a replacement but from a different brand which has been brilliant.4 -
@Rosa_Damascena we do have some good cushions (plus plenty of our own padding) but will keep an eye out for some outdoor seat pads etc✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I was walking back home from my class today and I went into Sue Ryder and found a checked shirt for me along with a sheer blouse and a checked shirt for my husband. While I was paying I saw a new packaged hot water bottle that goes around your neck. I had just been saying to my meditation teacher that I suffer with pain around my neck and upper back so that was a perfect find.8

I ventured into the centre of town today because the sun was actually shining (gasp, blink) and popped into my favourite BHF shop for a little look round.
I spotted what I thought was a very nice ceramic vase but on closer inspection it was chipped around the top and the narrow neck design made it very difficult to clean the inside which isn't good for cut flowers so I put it back on the shelf for someone else to find.
Then I had a look at the cookbooks and found a pristine hardback copy of James Beard's Theory and Practice of Good Cooking £2.50 and on the fiction shelves a hardback copy of George MacDonald Fraser's Flashman and the Tiger £2. So I know what I'm going to be reading this week."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

I went out for lunch with a friend today and on the way home dropped into my favourite BHF shop where I found a copy of Mary-Anne Boermans Great British Bakes which has been on my wish list for several years now so I'm thrilled. I also found three other cookbooks by Eric Lanlard, Sally Butcher and Meera Sodha so I think some kind soul must have had a big clearout at just the right moment for me. I paid £2 each for two of them and £2.50 each for the other two which was very good value for three hardbacks and lovely big glossy softback."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Called into the Herriot Hospice shop in Thirsk today and they had loads of b/n Woollovers stuff. Got this 50% cashmere & 50% merino top, (looks much nicer in real life!). Priced at £20 which was not exactly cheap but I didn’t mind splurging as I’ve just sold a few old techie bits, (20yr old iPod & ancient iPad), on Vinted 😋

@Frith - I've kept out of chazzers for 8 weeks now but I really want that book!!!No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -
Met my cousins at a £1 rummage sale at the loval church. Best bargain of the day was a £1 silver grey cashmere scarf by Jigsaw. Very chuffed with that!

Help….I need to be certified! Only bought yet another bag today….this time a John Lewis leather backpack in a charcoal colour. From the CRUK shop in Northallerton and priced at £11.95. Needed a bit of tarting up….lining washed and leather treated with leather restorer stuff. Also in the same shop got a couple of packs of Avery labels….just the job for labelling jam & preserves in the coming season & £1.50.
