Miró said:Help….I need to be certified! Only bought yet another bag today….this time a John Lewis leather backpack in a charcoal colour. From the CRUK shop in Northallerton and priced at £11.95. Needed a bit of tarting up….lining washed and leather treated with leather restorer stuff. Also in the same shop got a couple of packs of Avery labels….just the job for labelling jam & preserves in the coming season & £1.50."Think of many things, do one"

I rarely find anything in charity shops nearby as they seem very overpriced and the same things stay for ages! However today I got 2 swimsuits, one new with tags, one looks new, for £4. Much delighted, as I only have 1 that fits me and is more beach than local pool so now I am sorted 😊10

@Miró I would have bought that Woolovers top at the same price - lovely find. I am just cheering you on from the handbag sidelines, to make myself feel better about some of my purchases today:
A leather navy Rowallen handbag. Small, crossbody. I don't need it, but might see if I can flog it to Miro and make a killing... (more seriously, I just like Rowallen and a navy smart handbag is quite useful).
A 100% merino thin jumper from Celtic and Co. SO pleased with this. Fawn on one side, brown on the other. Beautiful quality and immaculate and FIVE POUNDS.
A pair of Puma waterproof trousers to wear walking the dog. Possibly influenced by getting wet through on my walk today. £4.99.
Denim tunic dress from Toast. Has a mark on the front but looks like it just needs a wash. Love Toast and can't afford it new, so happy with this. £6.99.
A cream turtleneck from Mango. Originally £8.99 but reduce to £1.99 on the sale rail. £8.99 is really too much!
A leather (I *think*) large wallet that says 'Lagerfeld' on it. Mysterious. Could it be Karl Lagerfeld? It's mock croc (or potentially actual croc, I suppose). Only £1.99 so worth buy-in and researching.
A very happy M100

I popped into my favourite BHF shop yesterday on my way home from the supermarket and, having decided to try to stop giving my money to the big river site for reasons, was delighted to find these four books.
The RHS encyclopedia was £3.50, the High Street History was £3 and the crime novels were £2 apiece so I'm a very happy reader.10 -
Oh @goldfinches the history of the high street one is very recently published, I was listening to a podcast with the author and added it to my wish list. I’m not at all envious.Interestingly the Big River Co donates returned stock to our local BHF. They get a delivery every Thursday.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Our Northallerton car boot sale was supposed to be starting this Sunday but has been postponed for a couple of weeks cos of the weather4 -
I haven’t posted for ages but while @Miro has been snaffling the bags and @Brie the scarves, I have been hoovering up the jackets:
Black leather biker jacket £14.60
Alex & Co turquoise velvet jacket with sparky turquoise heart shaped buttons ( not original to the jacket) £2
Topshop furry lined denim jacket £6.50 - I always have on of these on the go.
M and S BNWT ink faux sheepskin coat £10. Not sure about this now; it may go on Vinted.
Also
M and S black and white loafers £8
M and S black cropped jeans £4
Asda picture frame £1 just the size I’d been looking for.
Reversible turquoise/navy pleather tote £2.
stainless steel and sky blue food flask £2.

It has been 59 days now and I am getting late withdrawal symptoms!!No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.4 -
@miro do you source handbags on commission
Love that bag.
Was in Wimbledon yesterday so popped into a few shops, compared with my "local" expensive! Most were nicely laid out though but the stuff was dubious for the price!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4
