Hello
Weighday -2.5lbs please Brambling.Day 17 and I’m having my first off meal tonight, an Indian take away and a glass of wine and chocolate for dessert.I’ll be increasing my calories going forward as I've moved into phase 3 of my plan so expect weight loss to slow down somewhat. I’ll also be adding in exercise just stretching and a couple shortish walks this week to ease back into it.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

On my walk last Saturday, 2 guys were enthusing about bread makers. I have never tried one because I thought it wouldn't be worth it for 1 person. It would go.stale too quickly.cheerfulness4 said:Well done, Bella.

Katejo, You can make small loaves or when it comes to wholemeal (I'm the only one who likes that) I make a full sized loaf and then slice and freeze it so you just get out what you need daily.
Mollina, it was a really light and soft textured dough. DH and DS loved it but I like a crispy crust to mine. It was very nice, though. I'll pop the recipe up later when I've a bit more time.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Thank you cheerfulness4.
Amazingly I’ve only put on 0.2lb after last nights take away and I had 2 glasses of wine. From past experience I usually temporarily put on around 1-2lb after eating out/takeout.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

Morning!
Wow, what a frosty day today. Its a complete white out here this morning.
Food today:
1x HM bread and butter with marmalade
Shepherds pie topped with cheesy mash, brussels and cauliflower.
Snacks - fruit
Mollina - here's the pizza dough recipe.
2 and half tsp yeast
450g strong white flour
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp olive oil ( I used rapeseed and was fine)
275ml of tepid water.
Load into the bread maker on leavened dough setting.
It makes a really springy bread base. I squeezed it and it bounced right back up so I'm thinking this would make an excellent dough for soft baps. Even for iced finger buns with a bit of spice added to the mix. (shhush, I didn't say that.

So with a bread maker you just put all the ingredients in and switch it on? No need to knead or wait for yeast to make it rise? I have never seen one in action.cheerfulness4 said:Morning!

Tonight I am making a veggie mix with several veg, tinned tomatoes or passata and chick peas or kidney beans. To have with lamb today and something else tomorrow. I seem to have achieved a half lb loss today.5
