Done, unplanned:
- WMx1
Carried over to tomorrow:
- sort more of the loose papers on my desk
- re-enter even more diary dates
- ask DH to remove baubles from DR.
To be continued:
- sort and file more photos into chronological order, one year at a time, whilst being ruthless about which ones to keep.
Thrown out today:
- 1 mug of DH's which has lost all its transfer picture and is now just plain boring, into the Donate box
- 1 pack of 3"x3" card blanks, also into the Donate box
- soft plastics to the recycling bin at the Co0p.
We went out at midday and enjoyed the drive into the country, but the pub where we had planned to eat was shut, so we went straight to the nearby NT woods and were pleasantly surprised to find that they have recently installed a bigger food and drink caravan with a much improved menu. After cheese toasties and hot chocolate, I took Rosie for about a 40-minute walk - that was enough to wear us both out and work off some of my excess calories.
Hope everyone is dry and warm and will get a good night's sleep xxx8 -
hope you’re still dry, Dizzy.
I genuinely do not understand why people drive through floodwater.
My phone (Samsung) won’t let me talk on calls, so I’ve bought a new one, also samsung. But for the life of me I cannot make them talk to each other. old phone. WILL NOT log onto wi fi, so now tryin with cable. This should be straightforward. It’s not.

Morning all xx
You OK Valli? I have diazepam and prozac but they're not for sharing. That would be dangerous 😳. I'm sending hugs instead. And you can always Messenger me if you need a listening ear. 😘
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, supped a brew, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, and completed Connections with two lives lost.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off to the paid stuff. And deice Kevin. 🥶
Have a good day. Especially if you're recently retired. I'm not jealous. I'm always this shade of green 😉
Love to all

Morning all.
Just having first cuppa as I enjoyed laying in my cosy bed knowing how cold it is outside today. Must be winter. Poppet needed a wee.
Anyhow, no plans for today so will potter and just see what I can achieve. Circus was fantastic yesterday.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
i’m fine really, just frustrated by technology.
Done 2 x WM which I will optimistically peg out. I’ve also boiled half the oranges I bought for marmalade.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all,
Ooohh, Round is channelling her Wicked look 🤣. The lie in and not de-icing the car was lovely though, thank you for asking 😉😘. Reality starts next week, I’m giving up on it for this week.
I have been writing 5 jobs for the next day, which I got from someone on here years ago - maybe HB, I think? It’s a start, and I’ll weave it in with the thread and my 25 long term goals for next year - a Toots list by any other name. I actually only have 18 on my list, so not very accurate for an accountant (ret’d 🤣).
20 minute yoga done, wm is just finishing, I will sort that out and then check my list. With a coffee, if anyone cares to join me.8 -
yes please on the coffee Fayolle and the reminder to crack on with producing a list.
I am off to the hairdressers for a couple of hours shortly so efforts so far limited to moving the contents of the WM in to the TD. I wanted to crack on with skip filling but then I would need to get changed before I go. Such a waste of a sunny but cold day.
Hope everyone has a productive day.

Morning all, It's a lazy start to the day for me, making the most of my last day off work. There was some snow here last night and it's a chilly day.
My list for today
Check banking and update the spreadsheet
Declutter some of the spare room to make into an office
Make a start on decorating the office
Laundry x2
Take the dog for a long walk
Tidy up the kitchen, wash up dishes
Organise/sort bags for next week
Iron school/work stuff for next week
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a lovely Friday.

My diary has this.A to do list and a priority list. I can’t figure out what to put in each - I know it’s a random over thinking thing, but how would you separate the two lists? 🤔Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
