Very little has happened here of any Flying. Was kept up by the neighbours party until 3am. Then took the dog out when I woke up. Then went out to the cinema with DH and the kids before taking the dog on a mammoth walk with DS1.DH is on food duty and I’m on cleaning up after. I’ll try and get back on with flying tomorrow (in between the dentist visits for the kids). Today however has been dedicated to family time. 😍Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Hi ladies - Happy New Year and all that jazz. Didn't post yesterday as we were battling flood water. My house is the one on the right. This was taken at 4pm, 2 hours before the river peaked. Water already on the road and idiots still driving through. Barriers held and we are still dry, but I did have to come home from work early. Gotta love Wales...

Good morning 😊
I am still in bed, pondering my to-do list. I am so glad that I decided to go back to work next week & not today! 😂
Yesterday was a bit of a lazy one. DH did the parkrun (he usually works on Saturdays), but I had decided not to. The course is along the seafront - nice & flat, all paths, so no mud. But usually windy. Yesterday was extremely windy! I went along and added my name to the volunteer roster instead. Afterwards, DH met up with some of his running club for a coffee, so I joined them. It was nice to start the NY with some socialising!
Back home, we cleared away Christmas. LR was vac'd & surfaces cleaned.
So far today I have made a cuppa, turned up the heating & gone back to bed! I have checked the bank accounts & juggled some money about. Next I will do wordle/connections and then I had better get up! I need to wash my hair, so I will do that first. Then I need to make list & get to work!
Have a good day everyone7 -

I hope people slowed down (although it doesn't look it from the second photograph) and you stayed and stay dry Dizzy.Strands done without any hints for once, only one line on Connections so far and Wordle in six. I'll come back to Connections later. Two loads pegged out, dry laundry folded and put away, yesterday's sortings moved closer to front and back doors for disposal.I've got some ideas about which piles of stuff I can tackle next so that should bump the numbers up a bit. A mop I dislike that has been been superceded has been added to the tip pile. I can't see anyone wanting to buy a secondhand mop from a CS.Wren is being walked by the lovely dogwalker today so I'm going to go to the tip, CS and Morribunds to drop off a couple of cat beds and Kelpie's beautiful harness at the local animal rescue dropbox. It's so soft and I still miss him so that's a real wrench but I won't have a dog that big again so it has to go and the cats only used those beds when they were newly adopted kittens so there's no need to keep them.Belovéd due back today and we're out tonight so at some point I'll need to get myself organised but in the meantime I have a listie of things I need to get done today, not least decluttering 2 books, 2 kitchen items, 2 food items, 2 clothing items and 2 pieces of stationery which I added to the category list yesterday because frankly that cupboard full of stuff is never going to get used by me and I found myself working through some of it yesterday, so why not. A lot of pens can go now that I've settled on the type I really like.It would be truly amazing to get rid of 2,500 items by the end of the month.Onwards and upwards.
Better is good enough.6 -
Morning all,Connections done with only one hint left. Strands done with 2 hints. Wordle in 5. DS2's bedding in the washing machine as we speak.I ended up going to my Mum's house yesterday to help her with the jigsaw puzzle I bought her for Christmas. It's really hard as it's a spiral of different flowers in every colour of the rainbow. After quite a few hours of working on it, I've managed to do about a quarter of it, but lighting makes it tricky - if we have the overhead light on, it shines off the puzzle which makes it hard to see the colours, so it's not easy once the natural light from the patio doors goes. I think I'm going to take the boys over there today as DH is at work. Trying to convince DS2 to get dressed and eat breakfast though, as he's been distracted by DS1 and his switch.Never got around to filling in the calendar and diary, so still have that on my list to do today. Christmas tree has been returned to the loft, but DH didn't hoover up the shed spines on the floor, so also need to do that. I think most of the uniforms have been washed and dried - just need to put DS1's PE top back into his bag. The kitchen is definitely in need of work, and I remembered some brussel sprouts in the drawer that need to be rescued/composted depending on what they look like.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20177

Morning all,
Dizzy, I hope you are all still safe and dry.
Frosty and blue skies outside here, such a welcome sight after the fog and general miserableness of the past week or so. I have put a load in the wm, but whether it goes outside and freezes (it was -4) or stays indoors is still tbd.
Christmas is going back in boxes today, then I need to tidy up in the DR. The cards will be turned into tags later - an hour in my sewing room will be my reward. Yesterday was an afternoon of list making. Some random, some organised. Another work in progress.Right, all plans off the table - DH needs my help getting Important Stuff out of the loft. Destination garage, so it’s a sacrifice worth making.5 -
