When the Ship Goes Down (you better be ready) Cypress Hill

Thought I'd better use the radio title to this song and not the uncensored one to avoid getting banned but im sure most of you will know which word is altered! (Otherwise a quick Internet search will reveal it)

Life threw me one of those curved balls (not debt busting related) yesterday and whilst I can't talk about it I can say it was a situation that I would never have imagined having to deal with. Unlike the song I was mostly definitely NOT ready for that particular ship. Still we coped as best we could and we move on and wait to see the outcome.

Debt wise another 100 quid paid off as a regular payment today ✔️ before I shuffle 1 last balance onto that card. The gym still have not reimbursed me which is annoying and neither has side hustle paid for the weekend I worked nearly 2 weeks ago. I hate chasing but I'm going to have soon.

The stress of yesterday did lead to some unplanned spending but I should be able to cover that from my "play" pot plus I did earn 20 quid from another hustle. I could do with a nice quiet weekend to recover from this week although that rarely happens!

Off to check my online grocery shop which gets delivered tomorrow to cover next week. I may need to add something stiff to drink in there.

Sorry to hear you’ve had to bat off a curve ball but glad you’ve been able to deal with it. Fingers crossed for a good outcome 🤞

Sorry about the unexpected stuff and well done for tackling it.
The balance transfer sounds like a good way to get 12 month's peace of mind.

    Turn the Page - Metallica

"here I go, turn the Page "

Happily turned the Page that was the @#%! Show of last week. Thanks for your kind comments, we keep going dont we!

Been a bit quiet as it was inevitably a busy weekend plus I couldn't get logged in! What a disaster! Still all balance transfers are done so that's a small relief but has set my figures back due to the fees but it's price you pay I guess.

I now have a new short term plan as I have 3 balances on 2 of the cards in mind to clear without having to transfer them:

    £559   ends Sept 25  (cc1)
    £299   ends Jan 26    (cc 2)
    £500   ends  May 26  (cc1)

The top 2 will clear a little each month anyway with the min payment but I aim to clear them before they end. May require some extra effort but I'm sure I can do that.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine!

Bring it all back - S Club 7

In honour of the gym fees refund! I'm glad I chased that up as it totally messed up my budget for this month 😂  And considering I'm trying not to miss the gym too much,  paying for it when I can't access it is rubbing salt in a wound!

Currently aside from my usual £250 savings and extra 100 quid holiday saving I'm on track to have a 80 pound surplus at the end of the month (if nothing unexpected occurs and I budget for a planned night out next week). I may save half and chuck half as an over payment but will wait til the end of the month just to be on the safe side.

A NSD day yesterday although today i may top upn with fuel out the petrol pot
