Oh definitely worse @rachmac3 😂😂 ive woken up.singing it in my head hahaha
Everyone else is asleep so thought I'd do my daily bank accounts checks with a nice cupla before i get up for work - this is still a daily habit and mostly I find it quite soothing. I used to get.so anxious checking it but I don't get that knot in the stomach feeling anymore3 -

I’m embarrassed to admit I only recently realised the song was about chocolate. Always thought they were singing chipolata 🤣🤣 This is despite doing a bizarre routine to the song at Body Attack classes several years ago and then Club Fit classes more recently when the penny finally dropped 🤦♀️🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Tricky song choice today - being at work and driving round (doing my thing) the radio was full of the news of the passing of the Pope which obviously (and appropriately) was quite sombre. Then tonight I went to a local acoustic music night which was very moving but also incredibly uplifting which I really needed.
The music night was excellent and quite electic which as you've probably guessed suits me down to the ground. The acts are always a surprise and not announced in advance so it makes it quite interesting and you see acts you might have not actively thought about seeing. It's also really cheap (a fiver!) which at this stage in the month is VERY WELCOME.
On the money front the additional 100 quid l have stuck in the pot marked Overpayments may need to be redirected to "car fund" as another sensor on the fan is playing up 🙄😒 There goes this months over time money.
Roll on payday on Friday although I suspect my car may want every last penny3 -
You are doing so well!
your Shed Seven song choice made me smile. Our garden shed has a number 7 on it and most of our visitors to the garden ask us why. I'd have thought it was fairly obvious 😀2 -
Thanks @Blackcats I do love a bit of Shed seven!
Tonight is a curved ball music wise with
Libera Me, Domine from Faure's Requiem.
I did warn you I have a very eclectic taste and if you like your classical music dark and broody then it doesnt come better than this belter. Reminds me of being a young music student and singing the whole thing with awful pronunciation - happy carefree days!!
I believe it translates as Deliver or Free Me, Lord and having read a good few diary entries today I think we all need Delivering from the eternity of April and bring on pay day. Seems a little wrong to be willing my life away but I am determined not to spend anymore than I have (other than petrol tomorrow) til Friday.
today was a NSD and also side hustle day so finished the day 20 quid up which I have squirreled away into a newly named emergency car fund. (When I type car on here it immediately autocorrects to Cat which does amuse me far too much.) In addition to my usual £250 EF monthly contribution I seemed to have also managed to save an extra £330 from side hustles/over time etc - 100 of this has gone to holiday fund and the rest to Car EF - shame as it would have been nice to pay it as an overpayment on the ccs!
I caved today and transfered that pesky 380 quid balance from cc4 to 0% on CC1 - mainly because my PADing I had done this month on it was completely wiped out by interest. I'm still.undecided about the Great Balance Shuffle - my credit score has gone up 10 points (highest it's been since Nov 24) so I may ride it out and stick to the original plan rather than jumping early. I have til mid May to decide so still time to change my mind a million times.
We plod on!

The Waiting Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
As Tom says .... the waiting (for pay day) is the hardest part.
Nearly there though! A personal NSD although I did require petrol (essential) and I had to order some stuff for side hustle 3 (20 quid) which I will be claiming back - can't be bank rolling them!
Not much else to report really - I've been trying to be a bit healthier, eating sensibly, cut down on caffeine, drinking lots of water and making sure I exercise and I do feel better for it. It's the last week of the gym 😭 so I'm making the most of it. I will have to make sure I get out running and carry on with my home weights though for my physical and mental well-being3 -
Jump Around House of Pain
Chosen as I did a little trumpet fan fare like the intro of the song this morning on seeing that I had been paid and have jumped around ever since 😂😂
Surprisingly I have NOT felt the urge to rush out and spend it all although I did order some personal things I need for the next month (found on line for a fraction of the price I usually spend).
Need to do a round up of last month's figures but bring on May, warmer weather, lighter nights and hopefully a good paying off stuff month!2
