    Much better day today.

Paid off some essential bills, got some much needed fresh air and exercise, low spend day with just parking and 2 icecreams and significantly reduced my doom scrolling and screen time (which I think massively helped). The highlight was youngest yoof attempting to teach me a new skill (he's a very patient teacher!!)

Tomorrow there will be car maintenance to pay (never ending!!!) as it's new water pump day but mechanic friend has promised to check over the car as the mot looms. Must check the EF fund just in case!!

Like football today was a day of 2 halves 😂

I've pottered round the garden and felt very productive recycling and upcycling stuff. Wasn't quite a NSD as I found some new with tags  shorts for the eldest yoof (half the price than from the shop) on Vinted so snapped those up.

Big T has delivered and I took the chance to reorganise the pantry and the fridge ....... freezer might be a job for tomorrow but I feel a bit more aware again of what we have and don't have and I like clean and organised spaces!

Car wise - unfortunately the new pump wasn't the right one so had to reorder that. Had a check over the car pre MOT which is in a few weeks and decided to replace one of the tyres as it's on the cusp so that was slightly unexpected BUT never fear! the EF is there to cover that! Previously that would have gone on a CC.

I did work out that I have had to spend a fair bit on the car this year and it's where a good chunk of the extra money I've earnt has gone tbh. Whilst it's a bit galling atleast I've covered it with actual cash (so far!! Lets not tempt fate!!!) and not credit and still ive managed to save a decent chunk in the EF and pay monthly payments to the existing cards.

So maybe on balance I'm doing better than I think I am?? I'm running with a YES because mentally I've felt a smidge more like myself today and that can't be a bad thing.

Goodbye Messy May and hello Flaming June.

Not much movement on the months figures due to transfer fees and shifting round and despite the "this deal is ending on 31/05" pressure, new 0% deals have popped up so next time I shall hold my nerve more.

It's too late for my brain to do maths, does that mean you've paid 4k off? 😯

Yes! 4k off but overall the same as last month really. But £1710 saved in the EF and it's been am expensive year car wise/yoof wise.

I did fall down a rabbit hole last night - the APR on my loan is quite high at 12.3% and maybe I can get an alternative for the same amount and same time but lower APR and release more monthly money to bash towards the CCs. I know consolidating is not a good idea but this wouldn't really be that would it? More negotiation of terms ......
