Well done all with the NSD today!
Today was a definate NSD for me, so 24/27.However, my House Insurance is due in a months time and the renewal amount quoted today, is daylight robbery, so I'm going to do comparisons and hopefully get some cashback through TCB as well as save on the insurance amount I've been quoted. For that reason, it's possible tomorrow will be a spend day - I've still got 4 NSD's in the tank to reach my goal this month
# No.2 Save 1p A Day Challenge 2026 £236.68 / £667.95 (4)# No.4 Save £12k in 2026 £6,234.25 / £12,000 (4)# No.4 £2 Savers Club 2026 - (25/12 - 24/10) £100 / £200 (4)# No.8 Sealed Pot Challenge 19 - 2026 - 24/12 - 24/10 £60+ / £400 (4)# No.5 Fiver Friday Challenge 2026 £85/£230 (4)# Make £2026 in 2026 £1934.27 / £2026 (4)2 -
New NSD Target for February is 20
I hope to have most of the month as NSD's as I hardly need anything, but....
Back to January: I'm stuck on 24 / 27 as it's a Spend Day today due to sorting out my house insurance in advance saving £88 including CashBack
Now it's back to bed xx# No.2 Save 1p A Day Challenge 2026 £236.68 / £667.95 (4)# No.4 Save £12k in 2026 £6,234.25 / £12,000 (4)# No.4 £2 Savers Club 2026 - (25/12 - 24/10) £100 / £200 (4)# No.8 Sealed Pot Challenge 19 - 2026 - 24/12 - 24/10 £60+ / £400 (4)# No.5 Fiver Friday Challenge 2026 £85/£230 (4)# Make £2026 in 2026 £1934.27 / £2026 (4)2 -
27th is a NSD for me. 7/15 now. This was my first month doing it and it has been hard not to spend on little things. But doing this challenge has influenced some of my choices and helped me save a bit of money. So I consider that a win. For example, we were out at a new outlet mall that has opened up near us today. We didn't buy clothes or anything(great), but we also sat down in a Starbucks there and would normally have ordered coffee, sandwiches and cakes. However, we sat down, had a look at what they had and decided actually we have better stuff at home. I'm pleased my wife actually said that, because it means my personal reduction in spending efforts are having an influence on her spending behaviour and thoughts. So we went straight back home without spending anything and I cooked burgers and we had cakes from our fridge.
February target: I will reduce my target to 10 NSD.No.13 in the 2025 saving money challenge. Target £36,000.
Monthly grocery budget challenge: £720
NSD challenge: target 10 a month
Fat loss quarterly challenge: 21%body fat to 17%.4
