Florenceem good to hear things are improving for MrF and that he now has his own room. Praying that you get some answers soon xxWell, I finally managed to finish putting the last 6 handbags back into the mega wardrobe behind door 2 ready to list later. Door 1 & 3 are now completely empty and I'm thrilled. Found a couple more items for the charity shop, so I've added those into the large black bag which my neighbour is very kindly dropping off for me tomorrow morning.I've just put out the wheelie bins ready for their decluttering tomorrow, decluttered the kitchen bin and cleaned, ecluttered the finished washing from the machine and put on the drying rack, and now I'm decluttering a large cup of coffee and 2 mince pies
Tomorrow is going to be a cleaning & sterilising day in the kitchen & bathroom followed by a good hoover throughout the house, so I won't have much energy for decluttering, not that there's much left to do now. I'm going to forget the last 2 doors of the mega wardrobe for the next 3 days, as I will have to rest over the weekend which means I won't be spending any money either, so another 3 NSD's for this month.Great going with all the decluttering efforts folks! We can nail it in 2025

total from earlier 180, and then tonight managed to break 2 glasses, partners of the one from the other day. I thought quite sturdy but they felt gently on their side and broke,so clearly not as good quality as I gave them credit for. Going through dd stuff, found some nearly ok notebooks which I am adding to my pile but some paper declutter out 183
Hugs to those in need x16 -
Welcome back Cheapskate 👋 I can say this with confidence because as I started typing your name autofill kicked in 😊 Sorry to hear about the divorce - never an easy time whatever the circumstances 😔 Looking forward to following your decluttering journey & pleased to see that your 2 teenagers will be on board as well 😊 This is your year - to quote the new buzz words “Twenty-Twenty-Thrive”
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger, nice to be back - love that phrase & think it's very apt!
Still working my way through the posts, and deciding on an approach that will work for me, but happy to report I've decluttered loads of empty pop cans from the teens' rooms into the green bin, nice to see the carpets!
Our bins were disrupted over Christmas & due to the snow, so concentrating on pure rubbish to bag up for a tip run at the weekend (himself can do that I think), and we still have some nice chocs and various drinks from Christmas to declutter slowly over the next few weeks, some of the booze is destined to be gifts as we can't possibly drink it all!
A xoNew start 2026:

Today I finished painting over the anti mould paint in the dining area Thoroughly cleared the area.ironing taken upstairs.paint and tools put away and I collected up another bin bag full of rubbish A canvas I had painted but smudged when I tried to seal it went in, some old pictures that GC had coloured and honestly I couldn't tell you what else but a massive improvement was made. 8 beer bottles put into fridge and the box broken down too. The last of the Christmas stuff needs to go to club ready for next year's Christmas Fair and cupboards need to be cleared but the room itself has recovered from Christmas. That's one more bin bag full.
GC 2022 = £3154.96 , 2023 = £3334. 841

Good morning campers!Woke up with a burst of energy this morning so the kitchen is now fully cleaned & sterilised: washing machine, fridge, microwave, work surfaces & sink. I've just washed the floor and waiting for it to dry whilst I declutter a lovely cup of coffee chocolate

Next the bathroom and then it's a good hoover round before I have to go back to bed

After an early night I woke up at 5. Lay there for a while but was just thinking and not sleeping so got up.
About to have 2 cups of tea - get 2 out of a pot - old style tea leaves here.
I will be going out at 9 to the charity shop with my bag and trolley full.
It is bin day so will sort that out before I go.
Hope everyone has a good day.18 -
Out: another 4 pairs of jeans. I now have one pair, which are the pair I bought from Vinted. They fit perfectly!
Small frog duly tackled, unfortunately we appear to have had an infestation in the shed and the rats have eaten through one bag of Stepsons clothes. They have been binned. Other clothes washed on 90 degree cycle. They are currently drying and then will be boxed up and taken to storage unit until Stepson comes down to see us next.
Next frog on the list is to book rubbish removal/house clearance as there is currently most of the shed to be binned due to aforementioned ratties. Oh well, I suppose that will count for an awful lot of decluttering!
Small sofabed listed on FB, someone is interested but I have no idea if it will come to anything. It's free to collector! I just want it gone at this point. It's the last thing in my downstairs lounge. I need to clean the bedroom today and photograph my wardrobes, then dismantle them and put them in the garage until someone buys them.
Fingers crossed we get a moving date today as the Estate Agent rang me yesterday to say everyone is actually ready.

Welcome in or welcome back to the new and not so newbies. Lovely to see so many enthusiastic passengers on the EDT!
Well done on catching up with the cheerleading so quickly @Mrs_Salad_Dodger - you've created such a lovely community here 💐
Hope Mr F's EEG goes well @Florenceem and sounds like he's in the right place - just wish you could have some answers soon as to what's going on.
Not a lot of decluttering going on here over the last couple of days but did remember to:
84. Recycle celebrations tub at the local Green King pub
DH has not been helping by deciding that he's going to germinate seeds for the new (and currently non-existent) veg patch, in the middle of the kitchen, which is going to be a building site come Monday 🙄 So we've had deliveries of various potting things, although did manage to find his heat mats so he didn't have to buy more of those. He also managed to decant some of his Christmas gifts so now we have
85 - 90: Recycled cardboard boxes and packaging.
We're also decluttering a gift of some restaurant vouchers (from Christmas 2023 😳) for dinner tonight as a little treat. Wish we'd booked it for some time during the kitchen renovation but I couldn't be bothered to change the date on it (plus I'm looking forward to not cooking!)
Oh and I finished a candle and some beauty bits so counting those as decluttering too:
91: candle finished
92. Shower gel finished
93. Eyeshadow finished
