Sending all very best wishes to everyone who is unwell or caring for unwell or distressed friends and relations.
I decluttered my Eye Hospital appointment yesterday afternoon, and got myself cluttered onto the cataract removal waiting list. 🎉👁️ Because of the eye drops used, I had to go by bus (of the four friends who usually kindly give me a lift, none was available). Luckily I was able to catch the last bus (17:30) to my village, although with a 40 minute wait in the cold, and a fifteen minute walk from the stop to my home. I was a bit chilled when I got home, but luckily had prepared a meal which just needed heating up.A small amount of decluttering done:marigolds which sprang a leak during washing up operations binned (note: not put aside to wear when weeding/painting/tidying the garage - Justin can bring his own!)
remains of eydrops taken back to pharmacy for disposal
packaging from new eye drops and other upstairs recycling removed from bedroom and bathroom to upstairs recycling basket
magazine to recycling
faded flowers to green waste bin“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Wow, what a pace the train is going at, just heading back from work and my train has come to a standstill, when I get home feeding cats and me and unpacking work for wfh tomorrow will be enough for me.
@Cheapskate so sorry to hear about the divorce, however you have come to the right place for sharing your declutterinf journey.
Welcome other newbies.
Mrs SD dd2 when back to uni about 10 days ago , back at Easter for a few weeks then back at uni til June and then starts uni in Melbourne in mid July. So with exams and getting ready for being away it is down to me for the next 18 months.
I kept alot of children's books which are in dd2's room and worried she will think she kept them and has an emotional bond with them. Books Re a weakness for her- she wanted her own copy of books I have! She did leave bags for cs though.
Bags dropped off yesterday so other 25 items
As I'm counting alot of paper decluttering. Tried to save bits of one notebook for scrap paper bit by the time I had done this it wasn't worth doing.

Back home.
@Florenceem, hoping you find answers for Mr F and glad you have been able to do some things for you.
Mrs SD such a good idea about the suitcase for storage
Just filled a Bix with cds and dvds and putting pikes so dd2 can have a look at old school/ uni stuff one time, books another. Another bookcase ro empty then mo e it, chair , bedside table etc and get help from decorator to move bed and wardrobe ( although this may not survive )16 -
More (((hugs))) and prayers for you and MrF, @Florenceem - glad you are eating regularly and keeping your strength up: hospital visiting is awfully tiring, isn't it? (not to mention the stress of it all) xx
I have decluttered a few more photos, but little progress was made today as the sun came out and I had a sudden desire to go to the Forest (half an hour's drive away) with DH and Rosie the dog. We had lunch in the café and hired the Trampers (= heavy duty mobility scooters), so we were able to quite a long way into the forest in an hour, with Rosie trotting along happily alongside me. She is such an adaptable little hound, you wouldn't think that seven years ago she was a Romanian street dog: now she is well trained, well behaved, well fed and well happy17 -
ionafan - Oh yes it is so tiring. I got a bus to the hospital okay today but coming home was dreadful - I just missed a bus and 6 came before the one I needed. I was so cold standing around waiting and crossing my legs but if I went back inside to the toilet - I would probably miss another bus.
I will have to find out the timings for Mr F's trip to another hospital as I don't want to get there and he has just left.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

So I'm not long in the door. Had Bailey and Luna out on their last walk of the day so it's time for me to settle for the night now.
I've got some BBQ chicken, salad, wraps for dinner so that should be ready in about 20 minutes and I'm watching Wicked for the 40th time - I absolutely LOVE it.Debt Free - 4th June 202518 -
Florenceem, it’s good to hear MrF has a bit more consciousness today - fingers crossed he improves some more overnight.
BlueJ94, re the cold, how very annoying.
Welcome to all new joiners and returners.
I agree with all those who don’t like shopping. I cannot thank the internet enough for online groceries (we have a delivery every 6weeks) and my weekly vegbox. Some clothes are bought online and others in CS or hand me downs from rellies and friends. Any other shopping is done at small local town. I have some kitchen things in need of replacement so will go and get those in local town when I can get enough energy together to go and choose new frames for glasses.
Ionafan, Trampers are great and it’s lovely that organisations have them available for use. Discovered them at a NT property several years ago when OH was about to set off with friend’s dog and a volunteer overheard me saying I would wait on a bench - it was lovely going on the walk with them and I have enjoyed many more since.
Visitor today took away 2 books and a jigsaw. The only decluttering task done today is to clear a few things off kitchen windowsill. A few more to go (will also work out where to put a couple of things being kept but really don’t need to live on windowsill) so a work in progress. The Christmas card box has been put away.

Still a busy one at work, so only 7 things gone the last couple of days.
Have managed to use up the cold and flu tablets, and found some lemsip sachets in the cupboard so on those rather than buying more. Some more fruit decluttered into a blackberry and apple crumble and an orange drizzle cake; will leave some in the TLC carriage for anyone who would like to share.
Saturday I have a tip visit booked, so should be a good boost to the numbers; hoping the freezing fog has cleared off by then though or it will be a chilly one. Just settled down with a cup of tea for an attempt at a digital declutter; I have far too many emails to get through.
Hope everyone is keeping warm2025 in 2025- 2027/2025
