Good afternoon. Hugs and get well soon to all who need them.
DGS is still in hospital (since monday) so we still have DGD. DD is hoping to be home with him this afternoon. He was being treated as meningitis but they managed a lumbar punch on the 3rd attempt and that was clear so now think its UTI as had infectionmarkers in his urine too. So hopefully he can come home today and just go back daily for his IV antibiotics.
I haven't managed much with DGD but we did start sorting through her toy boxes yesterday. She was really good at saying what she wanted and what could go in baby brothers box. Some definitely aren't suitable for a baby bit at least I know she doesn't want them and I'll remove them once she goes home.
So nothing has actually left yet but I do have a pile to go.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Wednesday2000 - I used to love a trip around charity shops. I would visit another town and go around those shops. Now I don't look at stuff when I drop off my donations as I already have so much to declutter.
Just popped to SA - C and his wife's dinners & puds were still in the fridge. They get thrown away so I rescued them. I will tub up and freeze to give me yummy ping meals.
I got back from SA to find - hope no one is eating - a big lump of dog poo on my boot! I usually wear my shoes when I go out in the morning and my boots in the afternoon.
I have used anti bacterial wipes on the offending area but won't risk wearing my boots to the hospital today.

Hello Dolly Rocker, welcome aboard. I look forward to hearing all about your de cluttering journey.
So far today, I have been to yoga and then gone through my bedside drawer. I wasn't in the mood to be ruthless so just tidied it and it now closes better. I am not usually sentimental about "stuff" but this drawer contains little notes from my kids when they were small and such things. They seem much more personal than "stuff".
Mr V's wardrobe and bedside drawers done. 29 items of clothing, 9 watch boxes a wallet and a big pile of broken wires and various toot ousted. We are having a brew then we will go to a couple of charity shops and drop off.
That is the whole house done since Christmas. Not to put anyone off, I live in a very small house and I have been de cluttering for a long time previously.
I don't enjoy shopping either. An occasional charity shop, an occasional antique centre,or garden centre but I rarely buy anything. I don't even like food shopping. I prefer to go to Aldi as there is less choice. Big supermarkets overwhelm me.Mr V takes after his Mother and loves shopping and buying stuff.
Something else I don't enjoy, being given gifts. Flowers are always ok, anything else makes me very uncomfortable. It's not that I am ungrateful, I just find it emotional that someone cares enough to give me a gift.
I have some small snowdrops in pots that are trying to flower. I dug them from Mum's garden last year. They are on my top 10 flowers list.

- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH & DSis went shopping just as I was getting in the bath. I had an hour long soak & washed my hair + read a few chapters of The Stand by Stephen King. I have read the book numerous times so it is easy to put down (as opposed to a new or less familiar book which I invariably don’t put down until I have finished it 😉 I now have a cuppa & will dry off naturally whilst catching up with the cheerleading continuing with posts dated the 15th:
Welcome back Cheapskate 👋 I can say this with confidence because as I started typing your name autofill kicked in 😊 Sorry to hear about the divorce - never an easy time whatever the circumstances 😔 Looking forward to following your decluttering journey & pleased to see that your 2 teenagers will be on board as well 😊 This is your year - to quote the new buzz words “Twenty-Twenty-Thrive”
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 I imagine everyone was pleased to see you yesterday at SA lunch club 😊 although they might have also been a little surprised with all that is going on with MrF. Very pleased to hear that you are eating, as I was a bit worried that you were so busy that you weren’t bothering 😥 I hope MrF was a bit better for yesterday’s visit 🙏
Brie, good luck sorting your pension 🍀 A tad worrying that you have come across Two IFAs that are incompetent 😞 Third time lucky 🍀
Duchess2, sounds like your Decluttering Mojo has returned from it’s holiday fully refreshed 😊 Excellent work with both the decluttering & completing tasks 👏 Thanks for my 💐
WickedLady4, great work delivering the last two bags + a few extra bits to the CS 👏 Hopefully that means you have a nice clear area🤞
Lovely post Floss 🥹
Florenceem, pleased to hear that you managed to speak to a doctor yesterday. Hopefully the EEG & lumbar punch will give a clearer picture of what is happening 🙏 Cwtches to you both 🤗
I have caught up a little more, but have just had a call from DH & they are on their way home so will post & run 🙂

Haven't managed to declutter a thing - well do the biscuits from earlier actually count?
Dropped the car off to the garage yesterday, was expecting it to be ready about lunch time but called them at 1:30pm to be told they were still waiting on parts.
Had to get the bus to one of my paid dog walks which is annoying but even more so is the fact that I froze all the way there, walked the dog then froze all the way back - got halfway up my street and the garage called to say car would be ready so just turned back around and headed down for it.
Was out for about 3hrs which was my prime decluttering time so I'm going to park that until the weekend now.
Tomorrow is a busy day. I've got my own 2 dogs to walk and and 7 paid walks tomorrow so I will be chilled to the bone and tired tomorrow.Debt Free - 4th June 202520 -

Had my daily visit with Mr F.
He had been moved into a private room.
Nurse said he was slightly better.
I asked to see a Dr. The muscle relaxant that he was given has helped with the rigidity of his body. His level of consciousness is now 8.
They are testing now for Encephalitis. I signed permission for the lumbar punch. I allowed a trainee under supervision to do the procedure. First results are 4 - 5 hours.
Mr F now has opened his eyes briefly and mumbled incoherently. He is still being tube fed and on antibiotics.
He is being taken to another hospital on Monday for the EEG.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

That is meant for you,@Florenceem. I don’t know what happened?x14

@Florenceem - we are all hoping you get some answers soon - it must be so stressful.
Not best pleased today, as any of you who read the parking board on here may know. I received a Parking Charge Notice for parking without a blue badge in a disabled space at a Tesco car park somewhere near Cardiff last Thursday. Not only have I not been to S Wales for a number of years and I never park in disabled spaces but it is also clear from their pictures that this is not my car nor is it my registration number. The number is similar but very clear and not blurred so they have misread it and obtained my info illegally from DVLA. I have so far sent a polite appeal asking for a cancellation, apology and explanation.
I did some light shopping - food, a small mirror and basket for bathroom and a floor mat for front door. My blood tests show high blood sugar so I need to get tests redone.

145 Bag of electrics to recycling

Right car to garage tomorrow so hopefully I will get some interior lights working. Just remembered I've not put rubbish bin or recycling boxes out so off to do that.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
