Hi all, reasonable day yesterday but I am starting to panic a bit about how much I still have to do before the builder arrives, only thing to do is just get on with it instead of looking at it 😂.
So I sorted out a load of plastic pudding bowls yesterday. I have no idea why we have so many but OH had put them in the cupboard so probably wants them but far too many lids so 55 lids put in the hard plastic bag to go to the tip, counting as 5. The kitchen bin, kitchen recycling and bathroom bin were emptied and a load of plastic wallets taken to ex colleague as he can use them in work. Glad to see the back of them, they have been sat at the bottom of the stairs for far too long 😁. Nice meet up with ex colleagues for a coffee that lasted until gone 7 so was starving by the time I got home having resisted the cakes 😂.
Update on Dsis, physio came and showed her how to get down and up the stairs using the banister and a crutch YAY, and has given her a load of extra new exercises to do. She seems to be happy with that. Couldn't make contact with my Dniece yesterday but will try again today 😁
@Brie well done on the glasses, must admit I have a small shelf of unmatched glasses in the kitchen that get used for everyday life and OH has a bit of a thing about glasses that get picked up from the cs but we do break them regularly so I don't worry too much about them 😂.
@Vulpix maybe Mr V could open a market stall selling the golf umbrellas 😂. They sell like hot cakes around here when the weather gets wet 😂. Glad to hear baby J is improving, biopsy on your head sounds a lot scary, big hugs.
Right time for another cuppa and start some more sorting out
Hugs to everyone who would like one

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday overcast & still quite dark at 11:00. Forecast high 16°C, low 11°C with a chilly breeze. Up earlier than normal as I have my cosmetic dental work today. The recycling wheelie bin has been emptied - third consecutive week of being on time 🙂 I will try to do a bit of cheerleading…
TC77, as to This “someone advertised some 1960s amber glassware -I thought I'd pick up a handful of things - my car could only just cope - they'd boxed up everything so I had to take it all. 12 small/large plates/ small/large bowls, /wine glasses, small/large drinking glasses!! 4 large serving bowls Gave away wine glasses and small drinking glasses and a serving bowl. There is only one of me! (DD2 will return)” talk about ‘cheeky’ 😥 I would probably have left all of it 😉 However it does mean that you can bump up your decluttering numbers by taking most of it straight to the CS 🙂 Great news that the scaffolding is finally down 👏 I have a theory that companies leave the scaffolding in place until it is needed for another job - cheaper than storage 😉 Well done on sorting the dining room table 👏 Good luck dealing with frogs 🍀
I was going to try & distract myself by catching up with the cheerleading but it isn’t working as I only managed to reply to one post. Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 😊 See you later 👋
P.s. I managed to make a pom-pom but it is way to big for the hat 🤭 Although at least I have learnt the technique 😊

Hope everyone is having a lovely day.
Binned some trainers that i used as garden trainers. I have outdoor shoes anyway and the rabbit had taken a dislike to them so had eaten the laces out of them and would throw them outside when he came in. No idea why these shoes irritated him so much.
Got my parents coming to stay so binned a ton of things, tidied up DD's room and also got ridnof the odd bit and piece lying around
55 lids is impressive. I struggle to find any lids to go with my items.
Got a bag of batteries. Dreaded batteries that I always forget to take with me to recycle. I shall make a conscious effort that they go this weekend.

Green_hopeful said:I have several perhaps 4 dinner jacket suits that my ex and my grown up boys have worn. Does anyone have any good suggestions as to where to send them. I can’t imagine there is much call for DJs in our local charity shops. Many thanks.10

@skye_blue our local shop say they will take them. Apparently they have a store upstairs and rotate them around.9

A box of unwanted Christmas decorations, half a bag of books and a bag of unwanted jumpers taken to 3 different chazzers today. I managed to get back home with just the Aldi shopping I needed to, so am taking that as a win!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
