41/52 - a large boxed homemade board game from my niece. Over 10 years old. We played it for the first and only time for nostalgic reasons. Now in recycling.15

Had lovely dinner from slow cooker. Chicken and rice jazzed up with spices and cream into a sort of butter chicken type thing. Was nice and made 5 meals, 3 now in freezer. While I was chopping onions, I decluttered the plastic chopping boards to recycling. I haven’t used them since all the hooha about micro plastic getting in the food - it does make sense that bits of plastic will get into the food so away they went. I have 3 very nice bamboo ones and a lovely big wooden bread board so I didn’t need them.
i am admitting defeat on my family tree person. He is my great great grandfather on my maternal great grandmothers line. I have some bits which are just right and some not so right and no marriage certificate, although they may possibly have not been legally married. Confusing info on dates of birth, age and parents. Think I shall take a step back. I have another one to work on, my DHs darling nanny, he adored her. just got her 2nd marriage certificate which has good info on. Sorry, I bore the pants off everyone with my family tree.Have a good night all, sleep tight xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Checking in, making a detailed list in a notebook seems to work better, 7 items done, wrapped parcel to go out, cleaned small areas, email sent, some papers decluttered etc. Still many left and about to add more
1728 broken umbrella and papers out.14 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday is another dark overcast day with a high of 15°C, low 11°C & a chilly breeze. Still dry though 🙂 Wm chugging away with one load of bedding. New bin bag put in HH waste wheelie bin. Just about to get my sewing box out to sew up some seams on a couple of pairs of my knickers. I also did a darning repair on one of DH’s woollen gloves (which classes as dealing with a froglet as it has been a month since I put it aside for repair 😔) Sorted out some paperwork & binge watched 5 episodes of a series called “Task” Dinner was pork steaks, mash & green beans. Wudupa.

Morning all. Not much to report in but keeping up. I'm away for long weekend with DS1 so not really settling back in after holiday. Second plumber came yesterday and fitted new radiator bedroom 2. He also put new valves on leaking radiator in hall. I seem to have decluttered leaks for the time being. Carpet is booked for Tuesday. All holiday photos downloaded and saved and loads of stuff cleared from computer.
962 Decluttered full (£10) bag of 50p to bank
963 Car repairs done under warranty thankfully but I swapped tyre repair kit as out of date cylinder which cost £36
964 Decluttered bottle of wine to DS2 for cooking
965 Decluttered veggies into three pots of soup and made three shepherds' pies
966 Downloaded photos from phone
967 Read, deleted, answered, saved all last week's emails
968 Decluttered random things (mostly family history) saved temporarily on my desktop
969 Decluttered flu and covid jab appointment
970 Decluttered leaking radiator valve, new radiator fitted and no doubt money decluttered when I get invoices
971 Given washing capsules, which my DSis bought in Scotland, to ex DIL when she dropped children's stuff here this morning. I know it is the make she uses.
972 Phone appointment made for Monday to discuss test results with doctor.
I need to start getting rid of more things in lounge although decorating that will be next year. Re glasses I have rather too many on a high shelf of the kitchen larder cupboard. I cannot reach it easily and I have nothing else to put up there so they can stay - lots did go both when packing and again after the move. Once I get new bed with storage for bedroom 2 lots of spare bedding can go in there and I can reclaim space in my wardrobes. There is some stuff in lounge that can go on the spare shelves in my wardrobes. I have already allocated one shelf to jigsaws and will not allow any more to take root that will not fit on the one shelf. I did buy some small pie dishes on offer at MrMor as I am trying to batch cook and freeze things. Plus some more of those cheap plastic tubs (4 for £3) which my MrMor have to put soup in.
I think I need to set myself a less ambitious target for next year as I'm not half way yet. I have been successful with the 1p saving plan and I am only just short of the annual target. This will cover all my money envelopes for the family at Christmas. Weight loss has been less successful especially after my Scotland trip.
I have hair appointment at 11.30 so think I will go swimming on the way as both near my old house. I may just start packing now for weekend. Mr Sox will be very annoyed that I am away again but that should be it until early December and then Christmas.2025 Decluttering Campaign 972/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

28 out of 25 classes have been done now.
I have the next four days free so I am going to do some serious decluttering, cleaning and tidying. I am doing the kitchen now.
I am looking forward to watching the new series of The Diplomat too as I think it comes out today on Netflix. I'm trying to avoid reading any spoilers!2025 GOALS

Hi. penultimate day in this house. It was always a stop gap house. I did consider having it as an air b n b but realised it would just be work for me! The work we have had done to the house will stand it in good stead for the next 165 years or so I'm sure.
Very good experience at the hospital yesterday with the exception of me not releasing blood very easily, always difficult. They want to do a biopsy on my head. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.NHS, you are amazing.DIL and baby still in hospital. They might go home today if babies blood results are ok.
10 balls of wool given to my Mum. I bought it months ago. Mum has some odd colour yellow wool that will be ok with the odd colour blue wool of mine.
Mr V smashed a large work top saver with a very hot pan. Saves me the problem of having to pack it.
Soft plastics to supermarket.
I have a million last minute things to do so I had better get on with it .
Good to hear that your sister is making progress Liverpool Anne.
