Morning all! Set my alarm an hour earlier as im trying to get into the habbit of doing!
Coffee made - sipping as we speak
Washing load in - no washing to do when j come home
Minted chicken out of the freezer - tonight's dinner
I had a rubbish sleep, I went to sleep around 9.30, woke up at 1.15 and then 2.20 so feeling a bit blah this morning, I even drank my sleep tea so what gives?!
Im tempted to start packing my suitcase tonight as tonight will be the only time I actually would have enough energy, going away Saturday straight after work.
Declutter wise, I have a half filled black bag to take out into the rubbish bin which gets collected when im away so going to see what else I can put into the bin.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Thank you,TC and Granny Kate. Mum and baby are now doing much better.
I had no clue as to what day it is/was. I realise now that we were outside playing in the garden at 8am Sunday morning. Sorry neighbours. There are no clocks in this house, perhaps they don't believe in time either. My son came home last night and everyone including new Mum has had some very much needed sleep.
Sounds like lovely times have been had Granny Kate and Brambling.
It also sounds like you are up to your eyes Liverpool Anne. It will be so worth it when the work is finished. I know stairs are good exercise but I love a down stairs loo.
I am sorry to hear about your daughters job search TC, I was always under the impression staff were in short supply.
I met a Norlad nanny yesterday. A first for me, very interesting. She is a friend of DIL and came to play with her little one.
I may be going home today. Sadly I can't stretch it out and let Mr V do the house move by himself.

Monday - I am up & dressed before 11:00 😉 It is rather a dark day although there is a bit of blue sky. Currently 15°C although feels colder as there is a chilly breeze. Temperature is set to rise to a high of 18°C with a low of 13°C both here & in Maidstone. I have packed the small tin of orange rock cakes & the cards. We are heading off just before noon & DH has already booked & paid for parking. I have my cuppa & the timer is on for 15 minutes. Wish me luck 🍀
Thanks for sharing Brie 😊 I always wished I could play the piano but my music reading was always a bit weak (now non existent 🙁) & I have never been able to play anything by ear 😞 I did play the clarinet for a couple of terms but hated practicing scales. I really wanted to play like Acker Bilk without having to practice (hopefully at least some of our Declutterati family no who he was 😉) I did learn enough to play in one concert though 😂 Not surprised you enjoyed playing the flute - such a beautiful tone & sound 🥹 This “……. tenor recorder was the nicest for the sound and the fact that it normally is the harmony rather than the tune and that's me for so many things.” really sounds like you just from what I have picked up from your posts 🥹
TC77, sorry to hear that DD1 is still looking for a job 😔 Just wondering how her tutor could be so wrong 😞 Fingers crossed that you can help her find a job to tide her over until a nursing job turns up 🤞 By the way, not really “a moan” more like frustration 😉
GrannyKate, not so much a pottering day as a rather busy day where you got a lot done 👏 Sorry to hear that you have another leak 😞 Hopefully the plumber will get it sorted quickly 🤞Not too sure that Sox will let you go out today, he might want to come with you 😉 Fingers crossed that the weather stays fine for your local history trip this afternoon 🤞
Green_hopeful, good luck decluttering the dinner jacket suits 🍀 I am sure our fellow declutterati will have some good ideas 😊
BlueJ94, ooh a bubble bath ☺️
Well I have caught up a little, but there is movement upstairs so I need to put some shoes on & grab a jumper. I hope everyone has as good a day as possible & that the weather is kind 😊 See you later 👋

It was 3 degrees yesterday so we are just thinking about bringing stuff in for the winter. My mum has a summer house. Managed to clear space for her plants to come in. I got rid of two wheelie bins of stuff. One recycling and one rubbish. I only went through the stuff on the floor and surfaces but with a bit of tidying there is plenty of space for her plants to come inside for the winter. It could do with a sweep out but the plants will make more mess so we can do that in the spring.12

decluttered 2 failing wooden arches in the garden. Woodworking chap has installed 2 new ones, made to order and nicely painted a pale green. Just need to get stuff growing up them now. (well, not now, likely in the spring I guess)
OH tutted repeatedly every time I talked about doing this. And now that it's done he's asking what should we plant by them. He's insisting on something fragrant. Who am I to argue!!!?!

Mrs sd and anyone else who likes an old joke - i'll give you the short version: a wifie was in her bath and got her toe stuck up the tap. They called the plumber and at the last moment to help cover her modesty her husband threw her an old bowler hat. Arms arcoss the top half, bowler over the nether regions. Plumber appears and says 'i'll get your toe out no bother, Mrs, but I dont know what I'm going to do about Acker Bilk" 😆
I got a million of 'em l 😆 😅 😄

Evening all. Very tired today and kept falling asleep. Interesting local history trip to a small church which is no longer in use - one of those places you drive past but first opportunity to go in. Light drizzle but better than some weather I've seen lately. Got off to an early start with a trip to recycling centre, town and SM.
