Hope you are OK @oceanspirit
happy birthday @purplevamp
Another bin bag out for me today. Tidied bedroom and found a blouse that didn't fit, some tangled up wool, different labels tags and packages that had been left on floor DHs side from new clothes, a broken hanger and other bits of rubbish that shouldn't have been there. Also picked up a lot of washing. Out washing machine has been on the go full time. I am washing the clothes we have been wearing as well as all of our summer clothes to give them a freshen up ready for our January holiday. I have a load of packaging from our new mirror but will count that when it goes out.

Happy birthday @purplevamp!!
Small victory in taking an unwanted pad of watercolour paper to art class today and someone was happy to adopt it. I need heavy paper and this stuff was too lightweight - not worth the £2 I paid for it the day before covid shutdown. I was trying to be prepared about not being able to get art stuff but this was not a good buy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hope you are OK @oceanspirit. & hope you’ve had a happy birthday @purplevamp
Quiet time here. DH has been really under the weather this week, just all the normal stuff he has to cope with ordinarily but just a bit worse.
Ive had more gastric issues too, again just the usual but nastier.
Decluttered a whole big plastic bins contents. It was full of brand new, still in original packaging bed linen. I bought it when it was really cheap to use for making clothing. I’ve had it for two years and it’s not going to get used. So selling. The bin is a lidded one so am going to use it on top of the drawer unit in the hall. Tools can fit in it and it will be covered so looks better. The biggest duvet cover has already sold.Started emptying the raised bed, got to do another couple bags tomorrow as that bin gets emptied this week.Started sorting through my pantry shelves for things we aren’t using or have enough to share. Hope to get another couple of bags for Foodbank. Also begrudgingly surrendered a lovely pair of cropped navy blue trousers to CS. They are now two sizes too big and just won’t stay up. I’ve lost two stones in total, one of them is so far this year so all my clothes are getting a bit big. Fortunately, and not bragging, I’m at my lowest weight for four years. Guess that’s classed as decluttering me!Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend. Have a good evening xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

vulpix, sorry to be so late in responding. Hope the move went well & that mum & baby have been allowed home 🙏 This “Mr V met a lady from the chazzer, she said don't forget us with donations when you unpack after your move! 😆 almost their entire stock for the past few years was from us!” did make me chuckle 🤭 I am sure the cats will forgive you 🤞
MadamMim2013, love the idea of using your paint supply to decorate someone else’s house 😉
moginstein, it was a request from DH’s niece S. Apparently her grandson R liked the hat I had knitted for her but wanted one in rainbow colours. DH ordered the wool & I got knitting. I quite liked the huge pompom but it swamped the hat 😉 Any ideas what I should do with it?
florianatwobob, what a brilliant way to support your local hospice 🥹
oceanspirit, a difficult decision indeed 😔 I do hope you are OK 🙏 Gentle cwtches coming your way 🤗
Just noticed the time so am off to bed, but not before wishing purplevamp a belated Happy Birthday 🎂🥳 & hoping you had a wonderful day ☺️ Sleep tight everyone 😴

Totally out of control with work this week, so not done much decluttering bar using things up slowly and trying to be aware of the stuff I have and making sure it is actually used. I need to do this more with shoes, although I have been using an old pair of trainers I don't really need anymore and hoping they will soon fall apart (there are signs they will so I can't donate them). They are currently my commuting shoes. The kids have been growing like weeds again, so I've had to get some more bottoms for DS. Hoping to declutter some of the older ones later, but need to check which are which and will do that once DS's friend has gone home.I'm about to finish my toothpaste, which is very exciting as I've been using DH's rejects for almost 2 years now. He kept buying the "wrong" one or one he didn't like, so I've been slowly using them up. I can finally use the toothpaste of my choice nowOff to do some well overdue tidying and folding of clothes..Digital:

Another shoebox run done yesterday taking the lovely items Vulpix and mum had made (beautiful lap blankets, hats, jumpers).
Hoping the house move has gone okay for Vulpix.
I also had more items to drop off to the shoebox hub before they became settled and just for good measure made another shoebox up.
So not including Vulpix items, another 67 neutral items dropped off yesterday and a shoebox.
Neutral 1106+ 67 =1,173

shoebox =441 items out of the house
Another Dunelm Bag for Joy drop off today. I’m only going at the speed of light as I now have a date for the kitchen to be ripped out

MrsSD, I have seen lots of hats with huuuge pompoms, more of a female thing perhaps, so maybe not suitable for a grandson. I've had a bit of a look online, and other ideas are adding them to scarves (although that might require 2), cat toys (maybe that just encourages them to play with wool), key ring chains (not particularly practical?)
It would be quite nice instead of a bow on a present, or maybe the grandson would like it to play with (not sure if I'm showing my age, I was happy playing with a cardboard box as a kid!)

Good Morning chums well we had a lovely trip to the mainland and I saw my eldest DD plus my granddaughter two great granddaughters and two of my grandsons Jack and Henry. The air B&B was very good and we had a great weekend Yesterday I went to Ventnor and picked up some jigsaws from the jigsaw sale in the chruch there, relly pleased as they will join my winter stash that keeps me amused when the weather is bad and I don't want to venture out in the cold
New week ahead and the time is flying by it seems .
Tomorrow afternoon U3A cribbage which I always enjoy, then Wednesday its Knit and Natter in Ryde.
I have a bagful of photo frames I will take with me and if anyone wants any they can help themselves whats left will go to the charity shop across the road from the Coop where we hold our knit and natter in the cafe there. Several ladies bring odds and ends in and they go on our table, and anything left goes to the charity shop
One lady collects the cut off bit of our wool ends as she makes stuffed toys and uses the odds and ends of the wool for stuffing I save all my ends up until I have a bagful then take them in No one wastes anything . I have some crochet pins to take in as well so a little bit more decluttering.Every little helps I think and stops things going into landfill, even more important on the Island
I can't believe we have been here over 15 months already the time seems to be flying just lately
We have DGS Ben coming next weekend for a few days as its half term at his school so he will want to be going fishing I expect. The garden is almost 'put to bed' now just a few bits of pruning to do then we buckle down and wait for the spring.
I hope everyone is keeping well, clocks change next weekend and it really will be autumnal
Cheers everyone
JackieO xx
