Hi all, busyish day yesterday which is just as well as I have a footy match this afternoon 😁
2 LDFPA, batch of ironing, bedroom bin, bedroom recycling, 19 items dropped off at the cs in 2 very big bags, toilet collected and card and gift and gift bag from stash delivered last night 😁. The party was very enjoyable, spent most of the evening chatting to people and we got home in the small hours 😁.
Today I need to really push on and get the rest of the stuff out from under the stairs as the toilet etc is still in the back of my car 😂. While collecting the toilet I spotted a pile of cardboard boxes which I brought home with me so they can be packed with stuff from the kitchen cupboards that will be removed. Anything we can live without for a couple of weeks will be put in the loft, stuff we will need will have to live in a box in the lr until I can get it better organised 😂
@purplevamp hope you had a great birthday 🎂
Right morning is running away with me so time to get weaving or nothing will be done 😂
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Just quickly popping in to thank everyone for my birthday wishes. I had a lovely day, pizza, cake, prosecco!!
Sold two more items on ebay - an old plastic doll's house which belonged to my DD and a pair of her old cropped jeans from when she was 5 (she's now 23!!!) All ready packed and waiting for the postie to collect tomorrow as the doll's house is quite big.
I'm trying to sort through a huge pile of old clothes to see what is sellable and what can go to charity. Can't take any photos as it's very gloomy and rainy here today.

Just for some inspiration for others - I decluttered for years and now am at a maintenance phase. DH has finally realised that what I did is actually really good as the house never really gets that messy and can be put back together really quickly.Today DH off his own back did a massive sort out of all of his stuff in his study! I seem to have adopted some of it (headphones that actually fit my very small ears). It was slightly stressful as DH seemed to want me to participate and kept asking me where things "like this should live" and also amusingly wanted my advice on whether to keep certain things or not. "What would you do?". As apparently I am the decluttering expert
He got rid of about 2,000 pieces of paper and a bag full of cables.Anyway... if you declutter your stuff then apparently other people will follow!2025 decluttering: 5,354 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟🌟2025 use up challenge: 450🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Big kitchen declutter challenge 139/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 50022 -
It’s been a lovely day here. Been raining all day, I love hearing the rain pitter-patter on the windows.
Made a roast for Dinner. Made a nice space in freezer as quite a healthy size. While cooking that, I put another pan on, added a variety of veg, put the brown meat from chicken in and hey presto, tomorrows chicken stew is done. I always think stews taste better the next day.DH said I cooked the greens “to perfection”!! Thats quite a big statement as DH doesn’t give compliments often.Decluttered all the kitchen rubbish out to the bin. Bin now out for dustybinmen tomorrow. That rain was VERY cold 😁.
sadly didn’t get any more compost out as I am not standing shovelling in the rain.
Plan this week is to deal with the clutter in our very small hall. I have a plan….
Have a lovely cosy evening all, night night xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Sunday: another dull overcast day with rain. High of 16°C, low 11°C & rained on & off all day from about 11:00 with a couple of heavy showers. DH zizzed up some worm food & fed the worms + filled the bird feeders. I have done nothing all day apart from make dinner - lamb shoulder (from a box) with a redcurrant sauce, roast potatoes, parsnips & carrots, frozen broccoli & cauliflower 🤤 The roast potatoes were especially delicious 😋 Wudupa.

Liverpool_Anne, This “Dsis eventually got her flowers after they had been delivered to a hedge about a mile from her house and were found by a random dog walker who walked to dsis's house with them” is appalling 😡 Thank goodness for the kind dog walker 😇 It seems to have been the week for messed up flower deliveries 😞 as we had a similar issue. DH had arranged for flowers to be delivered on Monday to his DNiece M (the one we visited) No sign of the flowers & no texts or phone calls. When DH contacted the florist they said they couldn’t find the delivery address……… begs the question why didn’t they phone either DH or M & ask for directions. Anyway after much back & forth & comprehensive directions from DH, the flowers were delivered late Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully new flowers will be delivered to your DSis ……..free of charge 🤞Good news that your DSis is downstairs & using crutches ☺️ Hopefully the balance issue will be sorted once she has had more practice 🙏 Great work especially decluttering so many emails 👏 Hope you enjoyed the 60th birthday party 😊
surprisinglynice, I will pop round later for a bowl of hm soup, followed by a crumble - I can bring custard 🤣😉 Some excellent decluttering 👏 I am putting in an early request for a picture of the nativity scene, if at all possible 🙏 Hope you have a lovely weekend with your grandchildren ☺️
Soontobeoap, what a busy Saturday 👏 Great decluttering & tidying 👏 Being curious aka nosy, are you going anywhere nice in January 😊
suzeesu2000, sorry to hear that both you & DH have been ill this past week 😔 Excellent decluttering - hopefully all the still wrapped bed linen sells quickly 🤞& you will raise enough funds for a treat for you & DH ☺️ Congratulations on your weight loss 👏 very impressive & worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ Definitely classes as decluttering you 🥹
TC77, I am just hoping R loves it as much as his mum, gran & great grandmother 😉 I hope you have a lovely weekend with your friends & that the Scottish weather is kind ☺️
Lovely to see you mehefin 👋 Great work completing the painting on the walls of your bungalow before the bad weather sets in 👏 Wow re the pumpkins 🤩
Just noticed the time so am off to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Thank you all for the good wishes.
Had a quiet day Saturday then wrote a list Saturday evening ready for starting on Sunday. Half of the list was completed so plenty more to get on with today plus some extras to add. It doesn’t look any better in here however I am sure things will improve this week.

Hi all, quick post as the builder is due tomorrow so last day to get things sorted. The under stairs cupboard was emptied yesterday the small square of carpet was binned and lots of carp either binned or recycled. Some things waiting on the landing to go into the loft. The new toilet was unloaded from the car and is currently under the stairs to keep it out of the way 😂. The lr bin was emptied again.
Footy yesterday was not the best result but we move on 😂.
Right time to get weaving 😁, wish me luck
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Monday: it was raining when I went to bed at 05:00 ☹️ I was up & dressed at 11:30 & we had definitely had more rain as everywhere was still damp. The forecast is for high of 15°C, low of 13°C, an 8mph breeze & more rain. Although there is a little blue sky it has just started raining. I will go straight into cheerleading:
QueenJess, sorry to hear that work was manic last week ☹️ so well done on the decluttering you managed to do 👏 Yippee to finally being able to use your choice of toothpaste 🥳
Happy_Kitties, excellent work decluttering even more neutral items & another shoebox 👏🤩
Lovely post moginstein 😊 Thanks for the ideas 👏 My DSis suggested giving it to R but he would only throw it at his mum which might lead to him throwing more harmful things 😬 I will keep it for the time being whilst I ponder a bit more about what to do with it 🤔
London_1, sounds like you had a wonderful time on the mainland & got to see a good number of your family 🥹 I love This “I have a bagful of photo frames I will take with me and if anyone wants any they can help themselves whats left will go to the charity shop across the road from the Coop where we hold our knit and natter in the cafe there. Several ladies bring odds and ends in and they go on our table, and anything left goes to the charity shop” ☺️ what a brilliant idea - decluttering at its finest 🥹 & This “One lady collects the cut off bit of our wool ends as she makes stuffed toys and uses the odds and ends of the wool for stuffing I save all my ends up until I have a bagful then take them in No one wastes anything.” is an even more brilliant idea 🥳 Is it really 15 months 🧐 yikes, time really is flying 😊
Liverpool_Anne, glad you had a lovely time at the party ☺️ a just reward for all the decluttering & organisational prep work prior to the building work & installation of the new downstairs toilet 🥹 All in all a busy weekend 👏 Hopefully the football match garners a good result 🤞
Happy_Kitties, that is brilliant 👏 Sounds like you are providing a good proportion of your local Bags of Joy 🥹
purplevamp, This “…..pizza, cake, prosecco” sounds perfect 😍 Great work with the sales 👏 Good luck sorting through the old clothes & with your any listings 🍀
Thank you QueenJess 👏 This “Just for some inspiration for others - I decluttered for years and now am at a maintenance phase. suzeesu2000, This “It’s been a lovely day here. Been raining all day, I love hearing the rain pitter-patter on the windows.” seemed quite odd to me 😉 but each to their own 😊 Very impressed that you cooked 2 meals, such great planning 👏 As to This “DH said I cooked the greens “to perfection”!! Thats quite a big statement as DH doesn’t give compliments often.” always lovely to receive an unexpected compliment 🥹 Good luck with your plan for decluttering the hall 🍀
Teaparty_mum, ouch to lumbar injections 😩 An excellent day of d cluttering/tidying 👏 earning you your first medal 🏅 Enjoy your ‘nanny duties’ this week 🥹
oceanspirit, sounds like a perfect weekend - one quiet day & one busy day 🥹 Good luck with the rest of your list 🍀
Liverpool_Anne, a busy & productive Sunday 👏 Shame about the footy result 😞 Good luck with the last of the preparation decluttering & tidying getting ready for the builder 🍀
All caught up 🙂 DSis is doing her washing & I am now deciding which of the many tasks on my To Do List I should make a start on 🧐 DH is on an 800kcal day but thinks he will be disappointed when he weighs himself tomorrow 😞 He is just heading off for his walk, after filling the bird feeders. Hope everyone has as good a day as possible & if you do have to go out I hope you managed to get to avoid the rain 🙏 See you later 👋
