Wednesday continued: Back again 😉 I have a hot drink & the timer is on
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, a holiday in Canada - how wonderful 🥹 Sounds like you had a marvellous time & I do hope you get to go again 🙏 Hopefully you are now fully recovered from the jet lag 🤞
Brie, sounds wonderful growing up in Canada 🥹 Of the places you mentioned I have only been to Vancouver. Lovely city & the zoo was brilliant 🤩
purplevamp, This “My mortgage decluttering is taking a bit a back seat at the moment as we have our house on the market, so not putting any money towards paying it off. The stamp duty and other fees will likely come to nearly £20K 😮 I didn't think it would be this much. but as it is, we've had one viewing and reduced our price, so will probably end up staying. I really wanted a little bungalow...” crikey that is expensive 😣 Well done on growing a lemon tree from a pip 👏
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, This “We flew to Calgary and travelled through the Rockies (stayed at Canmore nr Banff) then went to Kamloops, Whistler and ended up in Vancouver. If I was younger, I'd like to emigrate there, such a lovely country and friendly Canadians. Not sure I'd cope with below zero temperatures though.” sounds absolutely wonderful & you certainly packed a lot in 🥹 I felt exactly the same when I went in March/April 1996. I flew to Seattle, stopped overnight then caught a Greyhound bus & travelled to Vancouver, changed buses & ended up in Banff at about 08:00. Stayed in a lovely B&B for 2.5 weeks & did a lot of walking. One bus trip to Calgary to watch an ice hockey game. Then back to Vancouver for a couple of days, met up with a friend for dinner one night & also visited Vancouver Zoo. Greyhound back to Seattle & flight home. Thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories 🥹
Brie, love the recommendations 🥹
I have reached the bottom of a page & am in need of another hot drink, so will post this & come back shortly.

I am back again 😅 New bin bag put in HH waste wheelie bin so at least I have done something 😉 I have my hot drink & the timer is on again
weenancy, that is a lot of relatives 🤩 Hopefully you will be able to visit soon 🥹
Liverpool_Anne, very pleased to hear that your DSis is now being looked after by “a lovely nurse” 🥹 Hopefully this will mean that she starts to recover more quickly & will be able to leave the hospital soon 🙏 Shame about the football result 😞
weenancy, shame you haven’t found anywhere that makes apple & blackberry crumble ☹️ My favourite is apple & rhubarb 😉 just a shame that we managed to kill off our rhubarb plants 😞
suzeesu2000, what a busy Tuesday 😊 Great work sorting the laptop & almost finishing the compost removal 👏 Fingers crossed that you manage to get the laundry done today 🤞
Lovely to see you Mrs_Money_Penny 👋 Pleased to hear that you have had a couple of nice holiday 😊 Although words fail me at This “Last week was hard. I had a foreign van over take me from behind when I was indicating and signalling right. After the impact he only tried to drive away. I was so cross I followed in hot pursuit hooting my horn. He thankfully stopped but refused to give me his insurance details and kept saying there was nothing wrong with my car. He put his boss on who also wouldn’t give details. I was lucky as I had 3 witnesses and one called the police as he was aggressive. They got details off him remains to be seen if he is insured. Kept saying my English not good! Another man has dash cam footage. I was so lucky.” 😱 Very relieved to hear that you are physically OK 😮💨 I will be keeping everything crossed that the police can prosecute 🤞🤞 More excellent decluttering 👏 so another Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂
Excellent decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 As to the footy 😧 Thanks for sharing This “weenancyinAmerica yes apple crumble is on the menu 😁. I do like apple and blackberry but the blackberries have all gone 😁. I remember going on a camping trip in N Wales and we camped on a site called Kerry's little orchard, during the night we were woken by apples falling from the tree onto our tent 😂. We collected loads before we left then on the way home stopped in a layby next to lake Bala and found a couple of buckets worth of blackberries 😁. Lots of pie and crumble made after that trip and even had some left to give to my dMum to make more pies 😂.” such a wonderful memory 🥹 I think I would have been a bit spooked by apples falling on the tent during the night 😰
weenancy This “Liverpool_Anne - That is the main problem with living in Southern California - foraging is not very good. Lemons and oranges, maybe kumquats. But most other things aren't found. Have to go up into the hills to find the orchards of apples. Used to do that years ago when I was younger and come home with a variety of apples to cook. Can't find most of them today (especially my favorite Winter Banana apples).” is such a shame 😔 especially no longer being able to find your favourite apple 😢 as they look absolutely delicious 🤤
BlueJ94, 😣 to This “Went to the dentist yesterday for a check up, theyve recommended root canal costing between £550-620!! But now today I've got toothache!!” 😣 Not quite sure what dentists do as I quite often have a toothache after a check up 😠
Lovely post Moorviews 😊
Lovely post vulpix 😊 Loved This “There will be an" in "later. Someone is giving Mr V a flight case. Roll eyes. He doesn't need one but he just can't say no. I am hoping it can live in my step daughter's garage for the time being. I can't complain, he has ousted so much over the past few years. It compares to me accepting gifts of wool.” ☺️ Perhaps you can use it to donate items when you have moved into your new home & are decluttering as you are unpacking 😉
Excellent decluttering Willowtree222 👏 Good luck this afternoon 🍀
Brie, the dinner was delicious 🤤 I have to say that the brownie was especially tasty & if I hadn’t been so full from just having half of it I would have ordered another one 😅
Wednesday2000, the one we went to is on the Isle of Dogs, called The Old Millwall Fire Station Restaurant.
All caught up 🙂 So no excuse not to do something, anything 😉 See you later 👋

Afternoon all. Meetings back to back so far but I definitely need to pack tonight ready for Friday. Plasterer due back this afternoon as he had to do some repairs on tiled box going round pipes. I've been very busy and a bit sore and stiff all round. Plan to do less tomorrow as long drive Friday. When my sister lands in Scotland tomorrow it will 60 years to the day since she left to work as a nanny in US - she was 18.
I may post whilst I'm away but I can keep up with reading other posts as wifi should be available. I have a few frogs to do this evening. Noticed damage to tyre yesterday from when I clipped tree stump beside drive - got it checked and new tyre needed grr-- don't want to take any risks with long trip.
921 Plastics to SM
922 Chiropody appointment - decluttered money and nails
923 50% of packing done

I decluttered a few days away in Yorkshire recently. I also decluttered many scones and flat there but as we did lots of walking I’m sure the calories didn’t ‘stick’.Whilst in York DSis and I visited a Masonic lodge. That was an interesting experience….. and they wanted me as a new recruit. I didn’t realise women could be free masons but apparently they can! Not for me though. Here’s a picture from one of my favourite scone eating locations in Knaresborough.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
