@weenancyinAmerica yes apple crumble is on the menu 😁 . I do like apple and blackberry but the blackberries have all gone 😁. I remember going on a camping trip in N Wales and we camped on a site called Kerry's little orchard, during the night we were woken by apples falling from the tree onto our tent 😂. We collected loads before we left then on the way home stopped in a layby next to lake Bala and found a couple of buckets worth of blackberries 😁. Lots of pie and crumble made after that trip and even had some left to give to my dMum to make more pies 😂.11

@MadamMim2013 - Congratulations.
@Liverpool_Anne - That is the main problem with living in Southern California - foraging is not very good. Lemons and oranges, maybe kumquats. But most other things aren't found. Have to go up into the hills to find the orchards of apples. Used to do that years ago when I was younger and come home with a variety of apples to cook. Can't find most of them today (especially my favorite Winter Banana apples).13 -

Many congratulations Madam Mimm. xxx
Mrs Moneypenny. words fail me. Take care xx
BlueJ. Ouch!
Nothing out other than a magazine given away at craft club yesterday.
There will be an" in "later. Someone is giving Mr V a flight case. Roll eyes. He doesn't need one but he just can't say no. I am hoping it can live in my step daughter's garage for the time being. I can't complain, he has ousted so much over the past few years. It compares to me accepting gifts of wool.
Take care everyone. Vx

Congrats on the wedding!
Hope everyone is ok
Decluttered one bathroom cabinet. Out of date items binned. Also went though crisps and got rid of an opened bag of twiglets. Neither DD and I like them and they had been there at least a month.
Continuing this afternoon with another cabinet.September 2017 Debt = £25330

Oh dear, forgot to post yesterday as instead of going to bed I fell asleep on the sofa & woke up at 05:00 & then went to bed 😬
Tuesday: Another bright & sunny day with a forecast high of 19°C, low 9°C & a very slight breeze. DH had a bath before heading off to Fat Club. Forgot to mention that DH has started tidying his office & has a few mainly broken electronics-related items for the Tip
1833 - 1836 Laptop, Tablet, metal housing for a DVD player, one cable - Tip
1837 - 1839 Uu correction tape dispenser, 2 uu disposable lighters - binned
DH came straight back from Fat Club. He has lost another 0.7kg 🥳 He then zizzed up some worm food, filled the bird feeders again, washed & filled the water bowls & then planted out 2 bedraggled clematis & 3 chrysanthemums.
It is our 33rd wedding anniversary today & DH spoiled me - Card + a beautiful bouquet 💐 & chocolates. Bad wife that I am no card for DH just lots of cuddles. 🙊 We are also going out to dinner at The Old Fire Station, a Mediterranean restaurant. I requested to pay for dinner & DH agreed 😉 We left home at 19:05, ignored the first bus stop & walked to the next one (to get DH’s step count up 😉) then caught a bus for one stop with a shot walk to the restaurant, arriving 19:20. We got to choose our own table, perused the menu for a few minutes then ordered. This is what we had:
Efes draft - Turkish beer 2.5 pints each. Appetiser - thin warm flatbread with a slightly spicy tomato based dip. We shared a starter - Lahmucan - thin flatbreads topped with minced lamb, garlic, peppers, tomato & parsley served with salad. Main courses, DH had Adana Iskender - layers of marinated grilled Adana kofte served on a bed of thinly sliced bread with strained yoghurt & tomato sauce; I had Adana Kofte - grilled spicy lamb kofte with roasted peppers & tomato & rice (brought some home for DSis to try) We shared a dessert - Roasted walnut brownie with vanilla ice cream & mixed berry sauce then rounded off our meals with a Cappuccino for DH, double espresso for me. A delicious meal 😋 eaten at a leisurely pace with good service from the lone waiter (surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night). I paid cash & surprised the waiter with a 20% tip 😊 We caught the bus home & got back 21:40. DSis had cooked herself a mini quiche & chips. Watched various recorded TV programmes with DSis.

Wednesday: DH & I finally got up at 12:30 😞 DH is annoyed at himself as he was going to deliver his motorcycle trousers to the repair shop this morning 😉 Oh well, not urgent so can wait until Friday. Today is dull & overcast with a forecast high of 18°C, low 10°C with a slight chance of rain which is happening now at 13:00 - just a few drops of rain for a couple of minutes. DSis did the little bit of washing up from last night.
I have had a quick skim through the posts & have picked out a couple to reply to immediately:
