Happy Birthday Granny Kate. xxx
Soontobeoap, yay to a finish line being in sight. I bet you will miss the hustle and bustle when you are all sorted out. I know I do!
DD1 is coming, for lunch, a run and to see her Grandma. She is going to take the curtains down for me, only 2 rooms and clean the oven. The oven isn't a state as we rarely use it but I want to leave the place nice for the new people.
Better hobble off. Vx:16 -
Morning all.
My nephew is here fixing my back gate and some of the monoblocking that was brought up when he put the fence in. Council have been moaning about it and said they're gonna charge me to fix it because someone complained.
Feel like they're just saying that though cos I know my neighbours would just moan AT ME.
I've been pottering about the house sorting stuff out while he's out there so the place is looking pretty good! I've kept my living room and bedroom clean for a WEEK and I swear that might seem like nothing to most but for ADHD me that is a MIRACLE let me tell you.Debt Free - 4th June 202513 -

🙊 here is yesterday’s post: Friday - forgot to say I wrote a shopping list last night. I was awake at 09:30 but dozed until 10:15, had a shortish bath (45m) & washed my hair. The forecast was for a high of 27°C, low 16°C & mostly sunny with a light breeze. Left for dentist 12:15 got back 16:45. The hygienist made a good job of cleaning my teeth 😊 The appointment with the dentist was spent discussing getting bridges + due to receding gums also getting top 4 front teeth ‘filled’ up to the gum line i.e. covering the visible roots of my teeth. Now contemplating when to get this done - “filling” first with a different dentist then the 2 bridges 🧐 It will be expensive but worth it ……… I hope 🤞

I watched this today and wondered if it might be helpful for people who have said they really struggle letting things go out the house in case they need it later. Obviously I'm not suggesting paid for storage - but for the peace of mind and to also get main living areas clear, it might be worth allocating a garden storage box, a hut, a complete room if you have a room in your house that nobody sleeps in it (might be more worthwhile for you and the rest of the house having a room crammed with Stuff than keeping it as a dining room you only occasionally use for example), the cellar, the attic- whatever space you have. This lady is doing clothes but obviously the technique can be used for anything

Saturday: up exceedingly late as I stayed up very, very late to watch the athletics which I had recorded 😔 Oh well at least it finishes this weekend 😉 What a difference a day makes, from a glorious summer day to a drizzly & slightly miserable autumn day although still quite warm - high 22°C, low 14°C. Lots of mail for me today - mostly charity requests which have all been ignored except one (as I have made donations in the last few months).

Ouch Vulpix! It reminded me of the time I mostly sliced the side off my little toe and reattached it with a tightly bound plaster. Fortunately it was summer so I could wear sandals!
@Soontobeoap us project managers are determined! The only thing that didn’t go smoothly with my kitchen refit was the bit where the kitchen fitter contacted his mate to do some replastering. Kitchen fitter, plumbers and sparky all lined up beautifully. All had what they needed to do their bits. All done in less than 2 weeks start to finish.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hi all, catching up with you all this morning 😁. After a full week I have a day with nothing in my diary 😁.
Very little decluttering done but I have had a lovely time 😁.
Long post alert so feel free to scroll past 😂.
Thursday all I managed was 1 LDFPA and a trip to the sm. We had a lovely meal in our favourite Greek restaurant for ln's birthday.
Couldn't get a few things OH had asked for so had to go to a different sm on Friday. Also had to take the car to the shop to get a new headlight bulb and picked up a big bag of compost for a friend of ln so she wouldn't have to pay a delivery charge 😁. Another LDFPA, a phone call to my Dsis and a call to my Dniece. Dsis was quite bright, the staff in the hospital are very nice and she is being looked after vey well. She is working on the assumption that she will have her op on Monday and be home on Thursday as they have told her she will be able to go home 3 - 5 days after the op. She will then have physio regularly. She will have to be able to use crutches before she leaves. Dniece and I agree she might find it harder than she thinks to use crutches as she has very little upper body strength but I didn't talk to her about that 😂. Dniece had a big vent about her Dad who doesn't know how to do anything in the house, like how to use the dishwasher or washing machine or even where the soap powder is kept. He is an early riser and left the very elderly dog asleep on the bed who woke Dniece whimpering which bil couldn't hear downsrairs. The poor dog was desperate and had wet on the bed. He is a daxie and can't get down by himself. Dniece took him downstairs and let him out then told her Dad he would have to bring him down when he gets up.
Dniece then stripped the bed and took the quilt to the dry cleaners. There are other issues as well including not taking responsibility for taking his meds, my Dsis has to remind him every day which Dniece was not aware of. I did remind my Dniece that I had said he would be as much use as a chocolate teapot if he was by himself but I also blame my Dsis as she has enabled this level of uselessness. Definitely wouldn't happen in my house 😂. Anyways Dniece has gone to do a weekend house sit before heading down to Cornwall for another house sit and will call in to see Dsis on Monday on the way and has hired a car so if needed she can get back easily. Dnephew is going down on Wednesday and can stay for a few days. Dniece is changing her flight back to Bequia and is planning on staying another couple of weeks. I will then sort out to go down for a week or so to help out so that should take us until about the end of October. There are lots of things Dsis will not be able to do around the house and bil is going to have to get his finger out and help. Sorry had a bit of a rant myself there 😂. Friday evening I went to see a comedian called Mrs Smith. She is a teacher and is very funny,, talks about all those things that happen in schools that can make life challenging. My favourite bit was about when the management or government decide to change something and employ, usually, a young person who has about 2 years experience in the classroom to come and tell everyone how to do their job. I well remember losing the will to live in some of those after school sessions 😂
Saturday all I did was go to the footy 😁. Lunchtime kick off so left the house at 10.30 and got home about 4. The weather was dreadful but I had dressed appropriately in big coat and waterproof walking boots so was warm and dry.
On the subject of autumn approaching I think a lot depends on where you live. Personally I prefer it cooler than the heatwave temps but generally would rather be wearing my shorts and a tea shirt than waterproofs 😂. The changing tree colours are very pretty but the wet slippy leaves gathering on the pavements are not my favourite things to deal with and the rain that keeps me indoors longer than I like is also not a favourite 😂
@Vulpix big hugs for the big toe, very painful, take care. At least the moving day has been confirmed and you are so organised it should be easy even with the toe. Keeping everything crossed for you.
@BlueJ94 yes concentrate on debts that incur interest first, they are the ones that can really knacker you. I think they target people who have debts but seem to be paying them because they think those people will take on debt but will repay while the lenders will make a lot of money from them in interest. They don't like people who pay off every month as they make no money from them .
@GrannyKate oh no heating or hot water is a real pain. I hope you get it sorted soon hugs
@Soontobeoap that seems like a lot of money for delivery, especially as you have already paid a delivery charge. Is there no alternative way you could get it delivered? Hugs. Glad the plaster is dry though 😁. Tradesmen are the bane of my life, they are indeed a law unto themselves.
@daisy_1571 interesting video but I have to admit I have already done the put it in a bag thing, hence the room of doom and the storage container that is costing me an arm and a leg 😂. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I now realise I just need to be much more ruthless 😂.
@florianatwobob I live in hope that when I can get to do my kitchen it goes as smoothly but I have a strong suspicion it won't 😂
Right I have been distracted several times while writing this post with text messages and putting washing on the line, 3 rd load just finished so I had better finish here and go and sort something. Even the bins have not been emptied because I haven't had time to do the sweep around and fill them so I will start with that and see where we get 😂. I also need to do some financial juggling 😂.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1290 & 1291 LDFPA
1292 car headlights sorted
Take care everyone

Afternoon all,
It's absolutely freezing this morning, we went to ikea bootsale that they host every so often. Was very windy and very cold so popped off to a local coffee shop.
Ive got soooo much washing to catch up on, its sunny but still bitter outside so im taking the chance and hanging washing out.
Plant pots decluttered and off to my mams yesterday aswell as some wood for her to burn on the log fire.
Only stuff to do today is work lunches and washing. I better crack on!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Gave my sister two wine glasses today. That cleared more space than I thought.
Returned all jigsaw roll mat to a friend. That cleared a little bit of a corner as well.
Will do some more drawers over the week. I know which cupboard I will be tackling tomorrow. At least 4 items are earmarked to leave and I am going to list a child's suitcase as well. That is one less thing in the loft.September 2017 Debt = £25330
