My husband has now caught my cold! I don't know why it too this long for him to catch it from me. It means we haven't taken the donation bags to the charity shop yet. I'm feeling much better today and I just have a cough.
I have been tidying and decluttering more the past few days. I just went through my medicine drawer, but I must have done it quite recently as I only had to throw a couple of things away.
I got an iPhone for the first time and had a problem getting spam emails so I had to change some of my passwords. I made an updated list of all the passwords to keep so I just filed it away in my financial box.
I called the pharmacy and they said you can walk in and get a flu jab from the 1st October.
I have been going through our cupboards and freezer to look at what I can use up. Today I'm making a butternut squash soup and I'm going to make spaghetti bolognese tomorrow.
I have two classes this weekend and one next week so that will take me up to 24 classes out of 25 for 2025.

Hey all,
Well wishes and hugs to all that need them.
Managed to declutter a shelving unit today that had lay in my garden for the past few weeks, also a black bag of clothes that my mum sent to me to send to the CS.
Had to drain my washing machine yesterday so managed to declutter a load of dog hair from the filter, does that count?
Just did a load of washing and it didn't smell very nice when I took it out, just that horrid wet smell, think I might have overloaded it. Added it back in for a quick wash with a little less in it. Hopefully it smells nicer when I take it out later.
Finishing up work soon so it will be off back out with the dogs then chill on the couch for me.
Might watch The Horse Whisperer, favourite Robert Redford movie. Love him in that.Debt Free - 4th June 20257 -

Thursday: forgot to mention 1. my Sky+ box had a tantrum last night - message kept coming up ‘Live Pause Not Available’ so a spot of googling & followed the instructions for a Planner Rebuild - success with the bonus that I didn’t lose the recorded programmes that I have yet to watch 😮💨 & 2. that it was drizzling when I went to bed. Forecast for today: high 22°C, low 18°C, mostly cloudy with some sunshine & a bit breezy with gusts of 27mph. I woke up at 12:15 having slept straight through 😊 DSis had been awake for a while & done one load of washing which is now tumble drying. DH was also up, had a bath & was psyching himself for his visit to the dentist - he is having the bridges fitted & paying the rather expensive bill 😱 This week the recycling wheelie bin was emptied on the correct day 🥳 I was watching the athletics that I had recorded when DH phoned & confirmed all done 👏 Apparently his mouth feels a little weird as some of the gaps that have been filled were years old 😉 He also said that the colour match of the teeth is very good 😊 He is on his way home & will be incorporating the last bus route at that end of town 😉……….. DH has just arrived home 16:30 - unfortunately the bus wasn’t running, so still missing one bus number ☹️ Right, better get going with the cheerleading 😉
GrannyKate, sorry to hear This “Few things done but a negative for every positive.” 😔 Keeping everything crossed that, if you do have to get a central heating pipe replaced, it will not cause too much disruption or any further damage 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏 Great news about your DD & hopefully any treatment required will be done & dusted quickly 🙏
QueenJess, sorry to hear that you are still feeling so unwell 😞 Although very pleased to hear that you are taking it a little easier on the decluttering front in order to get better more quickly 😊 Loved This “I am also liberating the "emergency" pizzas from the freezer for dinner tonight - they were in there for this exact type of situation.” ☺️ Remember to replace them on your next shopping trip 😉
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like you had a lovely Tuesday 🥹 I especially approve of the underlined part of This “Meal out with ex colleagues was as good as usual, lots of chatting and catching up and as usual the last to leave at the end of the night 😂.” as it shows how much everyone was enjoying themselves 😊 So sorry to hear about your DSis 😔 Hopefully she will recover quickly & painlessly 🙏 Thanks for the extra information re DNiece’s short trip to Canada 👏 so pleased to hear that she had her OH with her so that they could share looking after the DCs 😮💨
BlueJ94, I think you must have had our rain ☹️ Good luck with whatever you decide to do 🍀
Soontobeoap, great work decorating the living room. 👏 Sounds like you are making great progress & will be finished quite soon 🤞Loved This “Did manage to declutter quite a bit of dolls house paper. My Dad used to make dolls houses and when we cleared the house I couldn't bear to let it all go. However someone has offered to make an elf house to raffle for our Christmas fair in November and as it is such a a worthy cause I felt ready to let it go.” 🥹 Your Dad was obviously very talented & I think would approve of the decluttering ☺️
suzeesu2000, This “DH, who I love more than breathing, commented on the upstairs landing today. He said how nice it was that it has stayed tidy and everything is in its home!! Woo Blimming hoo!!” sounds like your DH is finally understanding the benefits of decluttering 😉 I imagine you are still in a state of shock 🙊 Hope you are feeling better & can tackle the cupboard 🙏 Lovely to hear that Frankie is looking after you 🥹
vulpix, I am sure that your friend was grateful to have company & it sounds like you had a lovely if tiring day 😊 Hopefully you are OK & haven’t overdone the walking 🙏 How very ‘kind’ of Fomo to wake you up in time to go to bed 🙊 Good luck with your Thursday jobs list 🍀
Lovely & empathetic post weenancy 🥹
BlueJ94, not surprised you didn’t feel like doing any decluttering after getting drenched walking the dogs 😞 especially as you were going to work. Hopefully your shopping trip is successful 🤞
Almost caught up 😉 Hope everyone has had as good a day as possible 🙂 See you later 👋

After 2 days of feeling pretty grotty, today I dealt with DHs cupboard. In all honesty, it wasn’t that bad, just very untidy. So took everything out and gave it a good sort. All back but now tidy and he can easily see what’s where. I have one large sack of recycling but no real declutter of stuff.
Also found a ton of meds that needed dealing with, done that and found them a better home. Finally went through the herbs and spices box, it’s been on the list for about three weeks! Best bit is that I only need turmeric and garam masala. Everything else is perfectly usable. I did throw six jars away as contents were just solid lumps. Not replacing them as they aren’t things I would ordinarily use.Loving the cooler weather too.

charlies_tribe, hopefully the lump/swelling on your neck is nothing serious 🙏 This “Thank you for the star and medal, DH will be pleased and will probably say its more praise than I give him 🤣” did make me laugh 😹 Great work cleaning the kitchen 👏
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏 Sounds like you are very well organised for Christmas this year 😊
Liverpool_Anne, oh crikey 😣 So very sorry to hear that your DSis’s injury is so serious 😔 This “I looked at the ironing pile but despite my best hard stare it didn't get any smaller 😂” almost made me fall off the sofa as I was laughing so much 🤣 Good luck working out the best storage solution for the wood 🍀 Hope you enjoy tea out - always nice not to have to do the cooking 😉
