Been really busy decorating living room. Plaster still not dry in all places but we have managed to seal chimney breast and around window with half water half paint mix. These are the walls that need painting for fireplace and radiator to be fitted. Did manage to declutter quite a bit of dolls house paper. My Dad used to make dolls houses and when we cleared the house I couldn't bear to let it all go. However someone has offered to make an elf house to raffle for our Christmas fair in November and as it is such a a worthy cause I felt ready to let it go. Also decluttered a lot of packaging from new fire for living room, there was so much polystarine that we filled another bin bag. I am really glad that's out of the house. It gets everywhere!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Wednesday: it was raining when I went to bed 🙁 I seem to be going the wrong way as pertains to my sleep patterns 😞 I must & will try harder. I got up 13:00. DH & DSis had both been awake for a while. DH’s new computer (+ new screen & keyboard) have finally turned up & been unpacked from both the extra large delivery box & its padded box. The delivery box was packed out with 4 small sturdy empty cardboard boxes to stop the computer box moving around. DH now needs to tidy his desk before he can set it up.

Now to the cheerleading, only a day behind but many of our Declutterati family have picked up the pace with their decluttering 👏 so I am playing catch up 😉
Lovely post vulpix 😊 The bangle is beautiful 😻 This “…..when DS was a teenager he drove me insane one Saturday morning making stupid whistling noises. I kept asking him to pack it in, he kept insisting it was next doors parrot! They didn't have a parrot. Turns out next door were baby sitting someone’s parrot! 😆😆😆” is absolutely hilarious 🤣 & having just recovered, reading This “Mr V was a very fussy eater when I first inherited him” almost had me splitting my sides 🤣 As to my DSis thanks for This “…..I think I would just batch cook and freeze portions of stuff she will eat for the times she doesn't want what you have made.” seems the only way to go 😞
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Hopefully the cold will be over quickly & you will start to feel better 🤞
Pennypincin, you have definitely found your way back to decluttering ☺️ Great work 👏
Wednesday2000, great work turning ‘stir crazy’ into effective cleaning, tidying & organising 👏 Perhaps you can combine your walk with dropping off one of the CS bags if the CS is not too far away 🤔
Floss, very interesting article 😊
Green_hopeful, I really enjoyed reading This “Although my procrastination yesterday was disappointing i have actually enjoyed having a clear bedside cabinet and top drawer. The drawer now only has lipsil and an interdental toothpick thing. The cabinet only has the things that should be there, lamp, coaster and an extension for my charger. Oh and a flipping water bowl for our elderly cat, the other cats pounce on her if she gets up to have a drink so its the safest place, although she does insist on walking over my head to get there.” 🥹 Excellent work with the ‘puttying’ 👏 Not sure I would count 3 hours as getting easily bored 🙊
BlueJ94, still looking good ☺️ Well done 👏 I love the elephant head 😊
Sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell suzeesu2000 😞 Hopefully you will feel better soon 🤞
Pennypincin, I would look at bringing in new items as a gentle nudge to continue with your decluttering 😉
I have caught up a little but I keep losing concentration ☹️ Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible & that the weather is being kind 🤞See you later 👋

DH, who I love more than breathing, commented on the upstairs landing today. He said how nice it was that it has stayed tidy and everything is in its home!! Woo Blimming hoo!!Hoping to be back up to 100% tomorrow as I really want to deal with his cupboard. Failing flood and high water that’s the plan for tomorrow afternoon.Dinner today was totally freezer, two bags of stuff finished off.On another topic, Frankie has stayed with me yesterday and today. He keeps coming over for an ear tickle. I’m hoping he has decided that he does like me after all. Fingers crossed.CRANKY40Mrs_Salad_Dodger, feeling bit better today but still not 100%. But this Blimming things keeps dropping words off grrrr!Everyone is doing really well.Night night all, sleep tight xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Hi, Thanks for the info about the war museum. We had a lovely day but I felt very guilty about needing a sit down at regular intervals. I started the museum tour but had to drop out as I can either walk or sit down. I just can't stand for any length of time even if the guide is very interesting. We went to the shopping mall and Lowry gallery and for me did a huge amount of walking. My knee is complaining but it is the most physio it has had since I hurt it. Best bit of my day was talking to a couple with their 12th guide dog puppy.
Fomo had me up today just as you were going to bed Mrs SD. I came home at 5:30 had a brew and fell asleep until just now when Fomo woke me up again! Mr V has gone to a comedy thing with his friend.
Soontobeoap, what a lovely way to use your Dad's things. I'm sure he would have approved.
Suzeesu, sounds like Frankie is thawing and appreciating your charms.
I am looking forward to being at home tomorrow and working through my jobs list.

@CRANKY40 - sending hugs to DS re-the stitches.Sounds like something I would do.
@Liverpool_Anne - also sending get well hugs to DSIS - having a cracked tibia can be hard on a person. Hope she gets well soon.
@vulpix - glad to hear you had a lovely day. I can sit on my walker, can walk with it too, but both standing and walking without the walker are definitely out now. So I understand the need to sit down a lot.13 -

Wednesday continued: I have done precisely nothing today - didn’t even make dinner 😔 DH & I had our first curry since November & DSis had a Chinese. We were very restrained - one mushroom rice, naan bread, chicken korma, dansak, aloo gobi, 2 lamb samosas & 3 onion bhajis. Enough leftover for a 2nd meal tomorrow 🙂 Wudupa

dND, good luck with the new saw 🍀 Hope you can get Jewel’s claws sorted without Gino attacking her 🤞Although it is quite sweet that Gino wants to protect you 😊 Excellent decluttering especially keeping on top of the day to day decluttering 👏 Sounds like you are getting well organised for the autumn & winter tasks 😊 Yippee to getting both the family history programme & the lasting POA sorted 🥳 As you have dealt with the mega frog (POA) I am awarding you a medal 🏅 Fingers crossed that the rain holds off until after the vet visit 🤞& that sorting out the French paperwork isn’t too onerous 🤞
Brambling, you are fortunate to have both your sister & your friend available to & liking to assist with decluttering 😊but not too sure I could cope with This “…. my friend loves it although you do get cross examine sometimes when you say you want to keep something and she doesn't see why.” 🤨 Although This “……I'm sure if her husband sat still for too long he would be tidied away.” did make me chuckle 🙊 Good luck corralling your art supplies & sorting out the rest of your crafting supplies 🍀
Excellent decluttering & getting laundry done Happy_Kitties 👏 Good luck with the Bags of Joy 🍀
vulpix, such a shame that moving the bed resulted, in a roundabout way, with you needing to do some re-plastering 😬 Although having said that, it did keep you busy for a while 😉 Hope you have a lovely day with your friend 🥹 Everything crossed that your Estate Agent gets the new issue resolved 🤞🙏
Good luck on Thursday 🍀 I hope your list of jobs isn’t too long 🙂
TC77, This “Working at home and passed the new empty cs bag and decided something had to go….” is brilliant - just shows how far you have come 👏🥳
Floss, thank you for the link to IWM 👏 I did visit the Tower of London when the poppies were there - still moved by the memory 🥹
weenancy, it never ceases to amaze me (although why I don’t know 🤷) how inconsiderate & useless your roommates are 😖 Although This “Yes, I know the roommates should help hold the cats. They are worse to get penned down to do something then the cats are. It is just easier on my nerves to do it myself.” did cause me to have a wry smile 😏
Lovely to see you charlies_tribe 👋 I do hope all 3 teens are enjoying college 😊 Sorry to hear that you are struggling with your energy levels 😞 hopefully the tests will shed some light on the cause 🤞 Although I am rather bemused at the delay in getting a blood test 🤔 Surely it only takes 15 minutes max & shouldn’t be that difficult to fit you in 😞 Reading This “DH has been amazing. Although he's commented a lot about me just sat watching him, he has continued with the new bedroom building. The wall and door are in, we fetched the floor yesterday, just need to paper the walls.” I have decided to award your DH a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way. Perhaps you can take a photo now before you paper the walls 😉 Excellent work cleaning, tidying & decluttering 👏 & I am especially impressed that you sorted “the huge metal safe box” 👏 a medal 🏅 is on its way 😊 This “DD2 loved it! Looking at everyone's old passports. She picked one up and was asking why I had a strangers passport and burst into fits of giggles when she read the name and realised it was her dad. She can't believe he used to have hair! It is over 30 years old.” had me giggling too 🤭 Not a long post at all…….when you compare it to some of my posts 😂 Again, lovely to see you 👋
CRANKY40, crikey I do hope DS is OK now 🙏 Not a great way to spend a Saturday for either of you 😔 Excellent decluttering 👏 155 by 17/9 is a huge number 🤩 Fingers crossed the vet appointment went well & little kitten wasn’t too upset 🤞
I have done a little better at catching up with the cheerleading although still not caught up 😕 off to bed 1.5 hrs earlier than last night 😉 Sleep tight everyone 😴

Morning all!
Was awake at 4am, 20 past 4 I walked the dogs in the horrible welsh wet weather! 😂 the dogs went back to bed with OH lucky for some.
Loaded washer, cleaned sink of any pans and put away. Not much decluttering today as I just can't be botheredcaught up on bake off last night, now to catch up on Clarksons farm!
Off for a coffee and a mooch around some shops after work with a friend. May treat myself to some new pjs or socks. Im giving myself the ultimatum that if I want both I need to get rid of two lots of pjs as I threw loads of socks last time.

Thank you Mrs SD. The doctor ordered swabs and an ultrasound at the same time and both are before the bloods. The receptionist said its annual review time for most. I have another appointment with the same doctor on Saturday so I'll check at reception again to see if anything has come up. On the plus side, the night that id seen the doctor I found a lump/swelling in my neck and had to make another appointment (this weekends one) and im sure its my thyroid and my mum has thyroid issues too (and it explains a lot of my other issues). So hopefully she can add thyroid to the blood test and I wont need 2 lots doing. Thank you for the star and medal, DH will be pleased and will probably say its more praise than I give him 🤣.
Yesterday DD1 came but wanted to nip shopping as both DGC need warmer clothes. She stayed for a tea after but then went home. So, I tackled the kitchen floor. Took anything on the floor into the hallway. Gave it a sweep and a good scrub. Had a cup of tea while it dried and put the bin and things back. Only decluttering was a dog ball. She had 7 in there! One had lost all its fur so went in the bin.
So today will be dining room.
DS2 taxi is due and im out of tea so suppose I better move.

396) checked with DD if she still had her hand held mixer as I found a pair of beaters for it, she didn’t so into the recycling they went.
397) more plastic pastry cutters into recycling but one that I used as a child to bake with, I’ve kept. It comes with many memories
398) I never realised in the 26 years that i have lived here that I had a small toasting fork. Popped that to recycling.
399)-401) coat hangers x 3 into recycling
402) one frog sorted
403) sorting out and emptying one drawer which has boxes of C lights, some boxes were empty so they went into recycling
404) one manky saucer, binnedI’ve started to wrap C presents and sort out birthday presents that need to be sent nearer Christmas and combine so I can save on postage. Have been pulling out boxes I have saved, considering last week I had no C mojo, it’s starting to come together. I was panicking abit as from now until Christmas I have a very busy time coming up and I don’t want to be continually at the post office like I was last year which also cost me a fortune, even going cheaper with other carriers.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi all, update on my Dsis. Got totally the wrong info yesterday from bil via dniece. She has broken her femur and initially they thought she would need a plate but after a scan and a consult from the trauma team she needs a distal femoral replacement, which from what I can understand is a partial knee replacement, as the bone is so shattered it's not repairable. They won't be able to do the op until Monday or possibly Wednesday. Meanwhile she is in a private room unable to move on some heavy duty painkillers but is quite happy as she has a tv 😂. I have spoken to her this morning and she seemed quite bright considering. I told her she would probably have to give up the kick boxing and she laughed 😁 . Dniece is visiting her today and I will get an update from her later. Of course the info sent me down a google rabbit hole and what is concerning is the recovery time seems to include up to 90 days in hospital 😵. Dnephew is going down next week and I am looking to visit in early October, especially if she is still in hospital just to give her a new face to see and maybe give my bil a break from visiting. I know from experience hospital visiting is exhausting 😐. Dniece is due to fly back to Bequia on 28th and may need to change her flight to stay here and help out for a bit.
All I managed to get done yesterday was the LDFPA. I looked at the ironing pile but despite my best hard stare it didn't get any smaller 😂. Footy was nerve wracking 😂
Today I have to go to the sm and chemist. OH has been stung by a wasp and needs something for that 😐.
We have had a discussion about the wood shed which is actually a repurposed bike shed. I think we are going to get rid of it as it takes up a lot of space on the path and does restrict access a bit and can be tricky to get the wood out of. We will look for a better way to store the wood 😁.
@Vulpix meant to say I love the bangle 😁
@Mrs SD I think the suggestion from @Vulpix re batch cooking what your Dsis likes is definitely the way forward 😁.
Right I better get weaving, out for tea tonight with ln so need to get something done before then 😂
Hugs to everyone who would like one
