Not a lot of decluttering done however I have spent what feels like an inordinate amount of time looking at pictures of possible staircases for loft conversions.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Not much done today by me but bedroom 2 is ready for plastering Monday. Builder put stuff in my boot and I did a tip run on the way to school pick up. Thought I'd do a quick post but plan an early night.
836-838 Three bags of wall paper, coving and tat to the tip. I was able to empty out the builder's strong bags and return them to him for reuse.
839-840 Two bundles of wood (skirting etc) to recycling
841 Car cleaning set to DS2 - it was in my car when I bought it but I take my car to be cleaned (laziness0 but know DS2 will clean his new car.

Goodness that was a lot of post to catch up.Been sunny and quite warm this end of the island today. Would prefer a cooler and rainy one.Today I cleared the little bit of ironing, mended DHs heavy knitted cardi thing and took all up and put away. Airer put away as well.Tomorrow I have a few jobs I could do with clearing out of the way.We have a small downstairs loo where I have a tall shelf unit which houses all my stash of cleaning products, vases etc. That could do with a deep clean and a good sorting out. Think I will, at least, make a start on it.Have a great evening all xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday continued: I have done a couple of little things - finally put away the laundry 🙊 Spent a bit of time hanging up skirts which had been ‘stuffed’ onto the shelves. A rather scary reminder of how much work will be required to sort out all the contents of my wardrobe so might have to practise with DH’s wardrobe first which is not quite so bad although he does have 4 drawers in the CoD 😉 2nd mini task was to recycle 3 newspapers by shredding for worm bedding. Lastly I sorted out the recently purchased birthday cards - now I just have to write them 😂 DH phoned at 16:30 having spent 2 hours with the dentist. She has done all the prep work, taken moulds & let him know the cost. The cost is more painful than the dental work as it is not available on the NHS 😣 DH is coming home using buses as it is rush hour on the Tube, so will probably be home between 18:30 and 19:00.
1646 - 1648 Newspapers recycled as worm food.
DH got home just before 19:00. I have put the oven on for DSis’s dinner.
Time for some cheerleading:
Dizzycap, This “Yes, I certainly really used to struggle until I had decluttered 50% of my junk! Now I've organised most things and will put things like clean washing in inconventient places like the arm chair I must sit in in the lounge, so I have to move it to the bedroom to be able to sit down, but I will leave clean washing on the bed which means I have to put it away to be able to use the bed! That seemed to be the only way to train myself and it's worked wonders 😉” is an absolutely brilliant idea 👏 Very impressed that you are removing all the dead trees 🤩 although Babyface might think you have moved 🙊 So pleased to hear that both Babyface & Gorda are back to full health ☺️ & no doubt back to their mischievous antics 😉
vulpix, This “…If my house was clear my mind felt calmer. The house also looks cleaner if it's tidy! Now I consider it's like my job and I get the place ready for a handover of shift . Nobody want's to start work and begin with tidying up. 😆” is a rather splendid way to look at tidying 👏 Sorry to hear that you had such a bad night 😔 Now you just have to remember all the good experiences & wise decisions you have ever made 🥹 which I am sure will far outweigh any bad ones 🥹
London_1, hope the weather stayed fine enough to dry your washing outside 🤞A coffee morning & annual jigsaw sale sounds wonderful 😊 I like the idea of a CS selling towels specifically for use on dogs 👏 Very eco friendly 🙂
BlueJ94, what a nice surprise 😊
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
London_1, yippee to getting 2 lines of washing mostly dry 🥳 When I read This “we have her in-laws arriving on Saturday for the day as they are on holiday in Lymington just across from Yarmouth I think Dd and her OH are going to take them to a cheese and cider do at Haven Street where the steam Railway runs as her ma-in-law loves old steam trains” my first thought was ‘I hope pa-in-law loves cider’ 😂 profuse apologies 😔 Good luck decluttering socks & scarves 🍀
Great work BlueJ94 👏 At the rate you are going you should sail through your target 😊
🤩 suzeesu2000 what a busy Thursday 👏 Shame about the wheelchair not being fit for purpose 😞 Hopefully it will be a quick repair 🤞I imagine you slept well after all that hard work 😊
I cooked chicken & chips for DSis. I had a few chips & also some rye bread with spreadable blue cheese (a famous French brand). DH has just left for his walk (20:35) He has about 150 calories of his 800 left 😉 I will post this & come back later 👋

@Muddy_Walker , excellent news about your PIP, but so ridiculous that it took that long for the right decision to be made
@dND lovely that you got to spend some time with your DS
@vulpix sorry to hear you are having solicitor troubles, we had similar when we moved recently, it is so painful, I wonder if they do it on purpose!
@CRANKY40 your kitten is beautiful, such lovely eyes.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger its such a long tube strike too, we are the other end of TFL from you but it’s such a faff! Our usual alternative is the mainline that runs parallel with the tube here but the tracks are owned by TFL, so that won’t run if there is a strike either. DH has to get to Battersea on Monday, it remains to be seen if he actually makes it!
@Willowtree222 I hope DD had a good start to the term. My three are all ND and I know it can be a bit of a lottery with how it goes.
I’ve had to reschedule the floor being laid in DD and DS2’s room and the only day we could have instead was Monday, so we have the weekend to clear their room. I was hoping for a quiet weekend!
Love to everyone xxx

Very pleased with the work and the man and will definitely be leaving a nice review for them. xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Morning all!
In work tofay 6am until 12. This shift always makes me extra tired on a Saturday. Not much decluttering to do today but I do have 5 modules to do in work so will get them out of the way.
Popped into sainsbury yesterday had a nose at the sale but didnt see anything I fancied, then looked at pjs but thought what could I replace if I wanted them ao again left them behind.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Dizzycap, This “As a plan of positive decluttering both mentally & physically, I've decided that I’m going to write down everything I do every day and enjoy reading through my achievements no matter how small they may seem to me 😉” is a great idea 👏 Pleased to hear that the work in the garden went so well 😊 Re This “I must say, I'm not enjoying the darker mornings & pulling in of the nights, especially as it's now dark by 8pm” I am just about OK with this but really not looking forward to it being dark by 5pm 😞 Fingers crossed that the outside laundromat prices haven’t gone up 🤞
Very pleased to see you dND 👋 So impressed at all the work you did in preparation for DS2’s flying visit 🤩 especially the 5 different sorts of filler you used & painting the ceiling as well as the rest of the spare room 👏 Also so impressed that you relaid the hall carpet yourself 🤩 So not only am I awarding you a medal 🏅 but I am also giving you a nickname “DIY Queen” I truly hope that you don’t have to wait another 9.5 years before you see DS2 again 🙏 This “In the house generally, a lot of sorting has been done and I’m getting closer to deciding what to keep and what to dispose of. Mainly what’s gone out has been lots of little things but one big item has left; I sold the single bed that I brought from France..” is great news 👏 It has been so lovely to see you & I look forward to seeing you a lot more in the future 🥹
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Ooh, a new CS…….. could you tell me the name & location as it sounds interesting 😊 Fingers crossed that the decorators finally get started 🤞
StickyTheStickInsect, This “Two children decluttered back to school…..” had me imagining that you had packed them off to boarding school 🙊 until I finished reading the sentence 😉 Ouch to the expenditure on glasses 😣 Excellent decluttering of books 👏 & good luck with continuing to declutter the contents of the storage container 🍀
Liverpool_Anne, shame about losing your long post ☹️ Excellent decluttering & well done on dispensing with frogs 👏
TC77, shame about missing the phone call 😔 but just goes to show that when ‘one’ is in the zone with cleaning/tidying/decluttering everything else gets forgotten 😊 Very impressed with This “I have resisted bringing in a mahogany fire surround and a set of solid wood kitchen cabinets that the builders over the road can't bring themselves to put in the skip and offered me 😂” hopefully someone will claim these items 🤞
Just noticed the time 🙊 still not doing very well with sorting out my sleep patterns 😉 Sleep tight 😴

Good morning all
and wow everyone has been busy xxx
@ CRANKY40 - No mean feat with the pine tree removal. I think the chipper was the most disturbing thing as the vibration force when it was chipping made me feel nauseous, of all things! All the pines removed were suppose to be dwarf pines but ended up exceedingly large after 20 years & once they start dying they become dangerous with high winds & storms, so they had to come out! Plus, the high levels of pollen they produced this year gave babyface serious issues, so double bubble. She's much happier pritzying around the garden & fruitlooping on her ramps & has been far less agrivated with her skin over the past 2 days than she has been for months - bless her!Up at silly o'clock with 2 large mugs of coffee drunk along with 2 loads of washing done and hanging on the line - weather here is cloudy this morning but it's going to be fairly warm all day, so perfect day for washing & pottering about in the back gardenMissy has been for a lovely early morning walk & is presently rolling & kicking about on the sofa after a large fish breakfast
I've still been kept busy with further garden decluttering by way of semi-pruning, pruning, deheading, watering & mulching large lillies & general tidying up with 2 huge garden bags & wheelie bin completely full
and probably more to add by the end of today. Fortunately, my bin collecton guys are great and will happily take any garden rubbish extras, so it'll all be fully decluttered next Friday
Personally, I seem to find that once we hit September, the real gardening & clearing begins
Other decluttering includes general HH chores, checking & decluttering the guttering & shed along with sorting out bulbs to plant at the end of September, decluttering already decluttered items and I've got yet another large shopping trolly full to take to the CSRighty ho, it's time to get going so I'll bid everyone a productive decluttering day! Take care all & ta-ta for now xxxxx, and sending off letters & sold decluttered items along with M. Sains free flatpack boxes etc - It seems I now only go to Mr. Sains for the boxes
I'm sure there's a lot more I could add including cluttering up on 2 weekly visits to check on gorgeous Gorda, especially with her eating, general health, and take her for a long walk off lead along the river, which she loves
She's a different dog & absolutely full of it with toys being thrown at me from all directions for play time and that's after her walk!
