Morning - just dropping in.
Minor loft clear out.
4 printers
flatbed scanner
complete ginormous stereo system ( tuner, tape deck, amp and turntable +2 massive speakers
All put on the pavement - all gone within 24hours
Lots more to do but it was stifling up there, so when the weather is cooler I shall attack more.
There is a print/picture left by a previous owner - I can not see for the life of me how they got it up into the loft. Its much too big for the loft hatch regardless how much you twist it.. Think it will be a smash up job- not a particularly nice picture anyway so no loss to the artworld
Onwards and upwards

Had a revelation yesterday (yes another one!)
I had washed the big green bath sheet (you know, those huge towels) and remembered the absolute joy I felt when I found it in a charity shop for £2 probably 25 years back. It was a really good quality towel and a lovely dark green (either English racing green or dark hooker green depending on whether you grade colours by cars or watercolour paints). It has been used sporadically due to it not being one of a set and the OH does like towel sets. But he also likes this towel which is why it ended up in his gym bag ever since he last went to the gym about 5 years back. It's still in great shape and I now know what to "feel" when I'm having a declutter. This is a thing of joy so I won't be getting rid of it.
On the other hand I opened the wrong drawer in the bathroom cabinet and found a pack of various suncreams. I think I packed this when we last went hill walking in the alps - so 10 years back at least. Maybe 15. So all well past their expiry date so will glare at them until I get round to popping them in the bin. Will want fresh and effective stuff when we're in Crete next week.
edited to add - tried to open the pack (think it was from M&S as it's labeled "the floral collection") and discovered the zip was not functioning well (doable but bad enough to annoy) so it went in the bin with the contents. Might have to look around for some nice light SPF 15 lotion as an after sun which can be topped up with the SPF 50 in the mornings. Including lip balm....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Hi all, good day yesterday. Car full of wood to the tip and a broken trough thing from the garden. 3 LDFPA on the line which was a bonus as the weather has been wet recently so it's built up a bit as I am trying hard not to break out the maiden just yet 😂. The lr bin was emptied. I have started to ask OH if there's any rubbish when I empty this bin and so far it is working and there has been no accumulation in OH's corner of bits of carp 😁.
After tea I had a rummage through my yarn stash as that time of year is coming to see what I can fill the evenings with and maybe make a few presents for some people 😁. I have started to crochet a square basket to sit on top of the coat rack. There is a shelf currently covered in scarfs, hats and gloves. It looks very messy so I thought I'd put them in a basket but looking around the shops I haven't seen anything I particularly like then I thought I'd have a go at making something so I made a start 😁. I am making it up as I go along 😂
I have read all the posts but I have slept since then 😂
@Dizzycap yes those pine trees can be a problem. My ex neighbour planted 3 allegedly dwarf pines and gifted one to me. I only kept it 2 years as it had grown so much I decided to take it out before it got too big for me to deal with. The neighbours moved shortly after but the new owners eventually had to have the one by the front door removed as they could hardly get in the door, then a second was removed as they couldn't get in the shed without a major fight with it. The last is at the bottom of the garden and is so big despite being topped it is starting to encroach over my fence as well as overshadowing the rather nice acer and mountain ash. I think the original neighbour thought he had a country estate rather than an urban garden 😁. If you are thinking of replacing them with different trees there are much nicer things than pine trees which the local wildlife will be more attracted to, as I am sure you know 😁.
@Vulpix, I will take a photo of the fire surround and if you want it I am sure we can sort something out 😁.
@Mrs SD good luck with sorting out your sleep pattern. One thing I do notice is when you are on your trips you do have a good routine, maybe you need to try to trick yourself by pretending you are on holiday 😂. I must admit I am not really a morning person either so I do understand, hugs
Right time to do something 😁. The weather is supposed to be sunny today although it is quite cloudy right now so I am going to head out to the garden and see what can be done, loads to choose from 😂. I feel the need to be outside while I can 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Take care everyone

Well my morning was buuusy
Spent 2 hours trying to catch a dog that was running in and out of traffic and we finally managed to get him with a slip lead. He was terrified! We bribed him with sausage rolls and water. Hes gone to a rescue centre so hopefully the owners pick him up. I know i said I wanted to start running but that wasn't what I had planned!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. @Dizzycap, " I've decided that I’m going to write down everything I do every day and enjoy reading through my achievements no matter how small they may seem to me"I've been doing this for the whole of this year and it very much works for me. I find it a real motivator. I do mine on laptop, just a "what I did today" sheet, I keep for the month and then start again. So encouraging.Didnt think I would be doing much today as I had some nasty gastrict issues overnight - I get gastritis quite badly and was painful this morning due to a blueberry muffin I ate for supper last night. Its a shame as it was a seriously nice muffin but I now know they are not for me. We live and learn, now added to the ever growing list of foods I can't tolerate.Felt a bit better so got on with the downstairs loo.Not as much decluttered as I thought, a few things found for charity shop and a leaky bottle of cleaning stuff binned, otherwise it was just a clean and tidy that needed doing.I do now have quite a lot of space on the shelves and 17 bottles of washing up liquid!! I know! All were bought on very special offers - I have been decluttering them to mum as well so Heaven knows how many I must have started with!I do have to buy fabric softener and cheap loo rolls but everything else is well stocked.Have a great day all xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
