Morning all! Wow people's Sundays are busy already!
OH accidentally woke me up on the only day I get to sleep in! So im half tempted to just stay awake now and get stuff done. I dont know if I should be annoyed im awake at this time or thankful!
I have about 2 loads of washing to do but as its raining again (who knew wales gets so much rain!!) I may only achieve one load as we dont own a dryer cos we dont have the room. We had one years ago but that came from my nan and I think that was at least 30 years old when she gave me it
Im going to write down my tasks and meal plans for the day too, maybe work out debt etc.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Morning, work up after dreaming I got to the airport with.my cousin and her family going on holiday and then as called through for security I realised I had brought my old.passport cover ams expired passport and found there was an information desk I could leave all.my.liggage ( and I had a lot) to then race home and look for my passport. Woke up rummaging through drawers (mentaly) worried how I'd get back to the airport.
Reminder to.make sure I know where important things are. I do know where my.passport is hut not my and kids birth certificates etc (.would.need to.check 4 -6 places).I have a metal attache case from my dad's I brought for this purpose. Know where it is but it's empty!
Out 2 lever arch files ( bin and donation) , large hat and ood food and 2 pens.
Lovely neighbour gave me some.gorgeoua soaps for.lookig after her cat. I keep telling her there is no need..I go there for a cuppa and natter and always say I'll invite her when my house is ok. Popped round her key and she offered me a.cuppa.and I said impulsively to one round mine when I got back from the shops ( had been thinking of inviting her Friday for time to tidy). Anyway 40.mins was enought to tidy kitchen/ dining room living room and study ans she's good with patterns so offered to help look at samples for sofa covering. Wanted to show her bits of furniture which may end I'm same room.. fortunately she thought the one I'm drawn to most was the best.
Sorry long ramble but once fabric chosen can arrange for sofa and other items to go to upholsterer.
Found orders now being taken for the f/f I want (mid oct) but I have date to declutter whats in
Difficult deciding how big a one to get as only me now but dd will come back and wanted reasonable freezer space. Off to tackle frogs and piles i created before neighbour cam round
..so pleased I invited her into the house, I think the first person this year apart from dB and my cousin!
@BlueJ94 and others good luck with challenges today and for those such as @Dizzycap do make time for rest.

Good morning all
Sorry for being AWOL for months, RL got mega busy - some stressful stuff, some nice stuff. I have been keeping the decluttering faith though!
In July I took 3 bags of stuff to the CS (very grumpy woman in there so won't be going there again) and took a carload to the tip and a bag of coat hangers to Sainz to recycle. I spent a few hours sorting out literally hundreds of random socks - I managed to pair up 25 socks and both DDs took some, I kept some and I gave some to the CS. Very satisfying!!
Last month DD1 came round and we spent 4 hours making a start on the garage - her bestie helped for the last hour and by the end they had both filled up their cars with 6 bags for the CS, stuff for the tip, soft plastics and more coat hangers to recycle in Sains and DD's bestie also took some sturdy bags for life and foldable crates to use for her work (she helps people declutter/organise!).
Over the past few weeks I've been sorting out papers and have filled my paper wheelie bin to the top on 3 occasions! I've currently got bank statements and credit card statements from 2003 waiting to be shredded, yikesWhen I was in the garage I recycled DD2's A level notes (she's 26 now).
I've currently got a small suitcase and half a bin bag on the go for the CS and some books that can be sent to WoB.
For my PT job, I've decluttered my old laptop and hard drive to my colleague to wipe prior to us deciding what we can do with it now I don't need it ....
Hope everyone has a good day
Love to all
Deni xx

Gosh 28 posts to catch up on just from yesterday. Love the cat pictures. Sox is 'not allowed' on the worktop but completely ignores my scolding. When I don't fill the food bowl quickly enough he seems to think weaving between me and the bowl will speed things up. This week he has definitely decided walking up and down on the keyboard is a good way to get attention. DS2 put a small display cupboard together in corner of bedroom for my glass ornaments etc. About 5 feet high and I bought a vase with pom pom flowers to go on top. Not sure if Sox will decide to get up there. A few things have moved round which is obviously annoying to a cat.
I did some tidying and cleaning yesterday particularly the porch but I realise plastering tomorrow is going to make a right mess. DGS4 decided he was going to stay here last night so we went out and spent some money he still had from birthday or Christmas last year. He was happy playing - water was involved. Putting washing away yesterday I decided to sort some drawers while I was at it. I had 31 pairs of pants! Only 5 pairs really needed throwing out so message to self 'do not buy underwear'.
842 Some bras and pants binned
843 Extra sunhat (I don't need three) to CS bag. I just kept my nice straw one and one cloth one I can wear in pool.
844 Two pots of very old suncream binned
845-6 Two phone cases to CS bag
847 Dirt and general rubbish in porch binned. Two minutes after washing the still damp windowsill had a neat row of cat paw prints.
848 Bikini top still with all its labels in CS bag - didn't fit
849 Picked up 16 Christmas money wallets (4 for a £1) at B&M - I usually leave too late and end up paying £1+ each - pointless cardboard packaging in recycling
850 Chipped bowl binned
851 Worn handbag replaced with new one - so old one in CS bag. New one can fit my tablet better.
852 Too small floor mat out
853 Three boxes of stuff emptied into new cabinet. I have quite a few empty boxes in garage.
Packaging for unit not yet recycled as DGS4 claimed it to play with so in garage. On last page of the last notebook in my stash. I did buy a new one but the children 'stole' it.
Going to DS2 for Sunday lunch later so I'd best get dressed and do some jobs.

Sunday: a beautiful sunny day - high 25°C, low 16°C, humidity 62%. We are all up early as we are off to a 60th birthday lunch for one of DH’s nieces. DH has written several notes & we have added money. e.g. on the envelope “Well, why not? I deserve it…..” then in the card “Yes you do!” I have tied a bit of ribbon round the cards to make it look like a gift 😉
We are off shortly so I will wish you all a lovely day 😊

Back up and functioning without overdoing it. Even managed a small trip away which had been pre booked, fortunately with a friend who is a medic who not only did half the driving but was handy for any medical stuff! But feeling more normal and even managed to drop off my shoebox neutral items yesterday.
Some things that were counted as 1, were actually 1 bag of things like tape measures.
General items
344)-346) shoeboxes x 2 dropped off
347) small cuddly toy that was DDs, washed and popped into one of the shoeboxes.
Hoping to do a tip run tomorrow but will depend on the weather.
Neutral items 506+ 93 items/bags/sets of things dropped off = 599 which makes my robo vac very happy as he can now move about again, not that he has much sense of direction and keeps trying to throw himself off the stairs 🤨Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cut back some of the branches from the front. Looks so much neater and tidier.
Two green recycling bins full. I have a lot more to do but will do it slow and steady and wait now for the bins to be recycled.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

Just popping in to report the decluttering as a result of tidying/general chores done today. Too busy at work to have headspace to think about bigger declutters, so just getting rid of things as I find them, trying hard to use up things I already have and trying to stop more coming in where it's not necessary. Still tidying up 10 sticky bits of clutter a day, but usually only on days I am not physically in work, as I just don't have time.Digital:
