Technically the cat is not allowed on the worktop and was removed after the photo but I clean before making food and shut them out of kitchen which is best I can do right now17

Saturday: a bit duller than yesterday but there is some sunshine. Forecast high 22°C, low 13°C & humidity 52% DH is watching MotoGP qualifying & DSis is having a bath. She has an appointment for a scan in a mobile unit which will be parked up in the As*a car park today. She left at 15:15. Time for a bit of cheerleading:
Excellent decluttering BlueJ94 👏 especially approve of passing larger items to family members 😅 I still can’t believe you have to wait 3 weeks between household waste collections 😞 When I read This “Ive been on Vinted looking for jumpers as its getting colder and darker in the evenings now. Im only allowing myself to buy two. As I cant do the one in one out rule on these as I have no jumpers! 😆” the thought crossed my mind that you had been way too brutal in your decluttering 🙊 Hopefully you will be successful before the weather turns too cold 🤞
Lovely post CRANKY40 😊 To be honest I am not a particular fan of JO - I don’t have any of his books but I am giving his current series a chance. I record & fast forward through recipes that I am not interested in 😉 How lovely that you have a new acquaintance who loves cross stitch ☺️ - two happy people 🥹 Good luck working on the yarn mountain 🍀 Kitten in a raincoat - how 🥰
TC77, This “In shock about hidden chaos - in looking for box of bandages etc I have discovered dozens of shoeboxes and other boxes with papers/ books / vintage/ random things tucked under furniture. Easy to ignore but now registered. Will be for winter as too many frogs and general tidying before I face those unless I can chip away at odd times.” sounds very familiar 😞 Keep up the good work with the general tidying & dealing with frogs 😊 Fingers crossed that the weather remains good so that the decorators can get the painting done quickly & efficiently (+ avoiding any difficulties with parking)🤞
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 despite being so busy at work 😊
I have caught up a little so will post & come back later 👋 Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊 As the sun is out I might find something to do outside 🤔

I saw two cats in the picture @Crazycatlady2. Looks like one likes heights. It doesn't matter where you don't want them to be. My theory is as soon as their humans go out, they jump all over the place to see how much they can shed.11

Cat (currently refered to as such as she won't answer to her name at the moment!) isn’t allowed on the worktop and likes me to know that she knows that, whilst sitting on the worktop staring at me!!!

Saturday continued: DH went for a walk 16:00. I have started a rough To Do list - just jotting down thoughts starting with the kitchen. Remembered I had a half full jar of pickling vinegar so used it down the toilet & kitchen sink plug holes. Rinsed jar & straight into recycling - 1655 Back to the list, thoughts about wardrobes & clothing. Stopped to make dinner - bolognese sauce from the freezer with conchiglie pasta. Wudupa.
1656 - 1660 Kitchen recycling, newspaper, cardboard box, paper packaging, drinks cans - recycled
1661 - 1662 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Lovely to see you D123456789 👋 Sounds like you have been doing well with the decluttering especially with LO encouraging you ☺️ These comments are hilarious “LO puts me to shame , with some encouragement she decluttered some toys - then told me off as the bag was still hanging around the house and “shouldn’t that have been donated by now mum?”!” + “LO also reorganised DH clothes all folded in categories in his drawers. He thought the fairies must have come in the night which LO found hilarious.” Although This one tickled me the most “LO said she can’t wait to grow up so she can be in charge of cleaning and organising. 🤭 I put my hands up and said please go ahead and take the lead 😂” I think she would give both Dilly & Ewan a run for their money 🥹 LO has earned a medal 🏅 which is on its way 😊 Loved This “We went to grandmas in the summer and look a boot load of CDs to the charity shop for her. She was delighted with her newly claimed space. She is Swedish death cleaning. I also listed some large garden stuff online for her and it was collected the next day by someone with a big van, so she’s reclaimed the garage now where it had all been stored. Grandma is targeting all the problem areas and at least I can help with logistics when I visit.” a family of declutterers 🥹 Now LO just needs to train your DH 😉
vulpix, if it wasn’t so annoying, stressful, time consuming & costly This “Our solicitor blames their solicitor and theirs blames ours. The buyers sold with an online agent and got schmoozed into using their solicitor who is in London. Our solicitor has had 7 documents about access refused. We are now on number 8 with a £280 odd insurance policy thrown in plus another fee for an unconnected solicitor to witness our signatures. It all rests on the unconnected solicitor having time to witness us sign the "statement of truth" next week. My solicitor is pulling her hair out. I think the London solicitor thinks they are brokering a multi billion pound deal not whether the neighbour can bring their bin round our gable end!!!!!!!” could almost be amusing 😞 especially the part about the London solicitor. Very pleased to hear that your knee has finally improved 😊 Sorry to hear that you felt so ill on Thursday 😔 Thank goodness you felt better on Friday 😮💨
GrannyKate, yippee to plasterer arriving & having a plan of action 🥳 Excellent work with the cleaning & decluttering 👏 Good luck with your listings 🍀 hopefully the mirrors will sell quickly 🤞
TC77, pleased to hear you finally found the stretchy bandage 😊 Hopefully you are wearing it and your ankle is improving 🙏 Everything crossed that something can be done for DD1 🤞
Brilliant photo CRANKY40 🤩
Excellent work decluttering the huge frog Willowtree222 👏 You definitely deserved a couple of days recharging after surviving the 6 week holidays 🥹 I hope all our other parents have also managed a couple of days to recover from the 24/7 care of their school age children 🤞🥹
Almost finished another page but am flagging now, so will post & run 🙂 Sleep tight everyone 😴

Good morning allWOW there's sure been some wonderful inspirational decluttering going onUp at very silly o'clock but I dropped dead in bed at 6pm after delivering a meal to my elderly neighbour; more to follo, and woke up at midnight
Absolutely dead on my legs after having spent 5 hours in the emergency A&E treatment room with one of my elderly neighbours (92) who I had taken to hospital after they had fallen from top to bottom on their stairs at 7am this morning - Ambulance would take hours to arrive, so off we went. 4 broken ribs -OUCH!
Anyway, thank goodness, no other damage/breakages, like they don't have enough. Needless to say, guess who will be doing their shopping & helping out for the next 2 months
By the time I got back babyface washed me all over from top to bottom and has been super glued to me ever since
@ Liverpool_Anne - Yes, my pine trees became a problem safety wise although they weren't excessively tall, they were were tall & certainly wide enough and everyone of them was dead/ dying at the back. I have a neighbour who has enormous pines and the tree doctor has to climb up with ropes every year to check them over which always makes me feel queezy when I see him dangling several hundred feet up in the air! The garden look & feels much better now they're out and I do have a Japanese cherry blossom tree which also underwent extensive pruning and is more than enough for now, although I did take cuttings of a beautiful dogwood tree & flamingo tree which are both coming along nicely in very large tubs and I may consider planting them out either next week or next year!@ suzeesu2000 - I love the list approachbut my problem becomes that I then start writing a to-do list of the things I would like to achieve each day and either I have a bad health episode or many spanners in the works which means I don't get anything completed on my list & that leads to other issues
Today's completed tasks include the usual HH bin decluttering, cleaning & hoovering before a phone call & taking elderly neighbour to hospital, spending time with babyface, packing up 2 decluttered sale parcels, delivering a hot meal to sais elderly neighbour, & sleeping for 6 hours - So much for the planned pottering around in the garden
Presently having a welcomed large mug of fresh coffee before we potter off for our night walk to see if there's any space in the RM quad locker for the 2 parcels to be decluttered prontoWashing now finsihed so off to peg it out and then sit down with obviously another large mug of coffee and go through the usual monthly bank statements, financial frugality check & budgeting, & RS updates & maturity dates before dawn breaks and I go and water the back gardenI still haven't dropped off my large dolly trolly of re-decluttered CS items, but will aim for Tuesday as babyface has a vet check up on Monday morning amongst 3 appointments that I also need to declutter that day. The good news for the week is that so far, all my test results have come back far more positive than they have been, so it's nice to clutter up on positive news for a change
Now been for our night walk & although the RM quad locker has plenty of free parcel lockers the lockers won't open?! Having tried 4 times, we gave up the ghost & pottered the long way round back home - Monday morning 8am potter off to the delivery office now planned squeeze in
Babyface has decided she wants her dinner, so is happily scoffing away whilst I've loaded the washing machine which is now washing away ready to peg out when finished - Just made another large mug of coffee, spoke to 24 hour banking, watered the pots in the front garden, and played silly girl with babyface with a 1/3 of a denture stick! - crazy HH
Wishing everyone a very peaceful night & sleep - Take care all & ta-ta for now xxxxx
