@TC77 hope you like him

@Soontobeoap love him, thanks for sharing. Did the face come ready made?
Just on way home from Heathrow decluttered dd2, her 23kg case and 7kg cabin bag and v heavy bag to stow under seat (no weight limit) She had packed within the ounce of her limit.
Bit my tongue about any mess made today as she's been trying really hard. Thinking she's away for a year and hopefully will have good adventures so I plan to really pull my socks up at home:)
While I will want to go round tidying and sorting things she's left (easier than mine) I have to focus on time sensitive parts of the mega frogs which hopefully will have finished by 2026

vulpix said:Is there any wonder why my plants die. You've just to love it!Absolutely No decluttering here today, except for food nibbles, coffee, water & ice-lollies. However, I did manage some very early front garden decluttering, general tidying & watering on Saturday along with posting off 3 decluttering parcels
Babyface is on full rest as she pulled one of her back leg muscles; the main supporting one, while doing morning zoomies in the back garden
She's presently on a liquid mixture of anti-inflamatories & painkillers and I won't even describe the face of total disgust & frustration when she wakes up, but it has to be done
@ Muddy_Walker - Thinking of you at this timeHope everyone is doing ok in the heat, including fur babiesTake care all & Ta-ta for now xxx

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday is not as hot as yesterday & there is a pleasant breeze - high 27°C, low 15°C although humidity is 48% I watched the Women’s Doubles Final & have been dipping in & out of the Men’s Final. DH watched the MotoGP races & is now repairing one of the rear glove boxes on the GoldWing. It was very fiddly so took rather longer than he anticipated 😞 Dinner was linguine in a creamy bacon & pea sauce. Wudupa.

Hi all, the only thing done yesterday was the kitchen recycling. I woke up early having slept like a log but not for long enough, got up, made a cuppa and went to contemplate the garden and realised I was just too tired so went back to bed 😂. Slept for a few more hours and then spent the day watching footy 😂.
Today is cooler but higher humidity already with some cloud and we might have some rain. I have arranged to go for a big shop with OH and spent a while doing a list yesterday as OH's idea of "picking up some salad" consists of potato salad and coleslaw 😂 we have 1 tomato in the fridge and that's it 😂. If it's cool enough when we get back I am going to do a tip run with some wood to start clearing for the builders 😁
Apparently this hot weather is now our norm in the UK, hope someone comes up with a way to cope with it. Though I have noticed lots of plants out of sync with the seasons. Next doors Rowan is in full berry mode already and so is my cotoneaster and they usually are late autumn food for the birds.
@Vulpix love the potted cat 😂
@Floss sorry you fell out with the salt path, maybe we can have a chat about that one day, I really liked it and the 2 later books 😁
@Soontobeoap love the elf, they would certainly declutter quite a few buttons 😁
Right off for another cuppa and see if OH is anywhere near surfacing yet 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one
988 kitchen recycling
Take care everyone

@ Liverpool Anne I think @floss has fallen out with the Salt Path because of the lies told in them. I took loved the stories and the hope and kindness that was spread in them. Sounds like the kindness they got was true but a lot of the rest could be a figment of imagination with some hurt along the way. Very sad.

Liverpool_Anne My late Ma-in-law said 'when the berries come early we will have a hard winter'.
My children used to think of their Granny as the' old wife all the tales were written about'she had a book in her press cupboard full of beautifully written ,in spidery handwriting from her Grandmother (circa late 19th century ) that not only gave recipes ,but remedies for ailments .
Living out in the country a being a farmers wife and no spare cash for a Dr (although there was for a vet) a lot of the remedies seem to work. My late husband was born in 1933 and until he went into the RAF at 18 (1951)he had never seem a Dr.
On enlistment the RAF Dr asked him if he had any medical records and who was his Dr.When my husband said he was the first one he had ever seen the chap was surprised and said
'Young man you are surprisingly fit and healthy ',:)
Ma-in-law said her remedies were kill or cureand as far as she knew she's not killed anyone
My two daughters I think secretly thought she was a bit of a witch bless her.But a good few of her' cures' seemed to work
Sadly when her house was sold the book was lost in the move and I would have loved to have had it even for just the social history and recipes. Old Granny Jenkins book must have keep a good few local folk alive over the years.I remember asking my husband about a scar in his knee, he said he got it falling out of a tree but it was OK as his Mum had stitched it up ! ! !
Thank goodness we now have a NHS to help us My late Ma-in-law was widowed at 28 in 1937 with three little boys under 4.But a very tough little lady who never gave in to anything bless her
So I tend to keep a keen eye on the berries and the weather as often she's proved right
Have a good day chums

Morning all,
Not much done over the weekend apart from trying to keep the dogs from overheating themselves.
Why do collies not care about the heat? They'd run about daft any day of the week. Had to really restrict them, they weren't too happy about it but we'll make up for it now the rain is back.
I had to cancel all my paid dog walks over the weekend too so will be feeling the pinch this week. We'll manage though, dog food in the kitchen for the rest of the month and I'll just buy as I go.Debt Free - 4th June 202512 -

The recent furore about what's been written and what has allegedly happened / been said is unfortunate but to put oneself in the public eye by writing that book, and when promoting a film, requires a degree of openness & honesty that maybe hasn't quite been reached.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
